How Many Of You Fish From The Back Of The Boat
I don't fish tournaments(at least not yet) but fish with 2 buddies who have boats all the time. Whenever I might get a thought about being slighted, which is extremely rare since my buddies are pretty considerate fisherman, I say to myself "Dude, his boat!!" I look around at the big motor and all the fancy electronics and just feel lucky to have the opportunity to fish out of the back. they have a lot more invested than I do! I've learned a lot in the past couple of years and everyone in my family knows of my desire to own a bass rig. The first time i fished with my one friend he let me drive his Triton back down the lake to the launch. One of the coolest experiences I've had in years. I'll own my own rig one day, and will hopefully remember how cool these two guys were when I fished with them.

New Sufix 832 Ghost And Castable Invisiline?
Has anyone tried either one of these yet? I've used sufix mono for years and like it, and I've been happy with the regular 832 and Braid. Just a little concerned about another supposedly "invisible" braid(was not impressed by Spiderwire Crystal).

Question On Kistler Masgnesium Rods.
Been looking into picking up a 6"8" to 7' rod for jerkbaits and have been looking at Med action Kistler magnesiums for sale on here, EBAY and a couple other forums. My question is, are they discontinued or is there problems with them because it seems a lot of folks seem to have them for sale. Just wondering if anyone has heard anything. Thanks

Forgive me for being a little behind the 8 ball on this, but which swarming hornet head are you talking about? I see 6 on their site.

Boomerang Tools "the Snip" Line Cutter.
Posted this on another site also. Anyone had a chance to try this tool yet? It looks good in the videos, but I'm looking for some real world experience. Been lookin for a small, handy line cutter that actually works.

Fake Lucky Craft Baits?
I'm not looking to buy them, just saying that this guy is trying to pass these off as LC's and I don't think they are.

Fake Lucky Craft Baits?
Hey guys. Just curious, since some of you guys are a lot better at identifying baits than I am. Take a look at this link to and EBAY auction. The center 2 rows of cranks look like fakes to me. The paint schemes are different and the diving lips are painted, which I've never seen on Lucky Craft baits. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lucky-Craft-Lot ... 2c5f216c59

Having Trouble Staying Hooked Up With Hollow Body Frogs!
Hey guys need some input. I was on a 4 day fishing trip last week and spent a lot of time throwing hollow bodied frogs into the slop. I was having a lot of problems staying hooked up, and lost a couple of nice fish. I would wait the obligatory time, set the hook, and feel the weight of the fish. Then they would burrow into the slop and come unbuttoned. I'm using a Dobyns DX704c Heavy Action, Quantum Smoke reel and 50lb Sufix 832. Used a few different frogs so I'm not thinking that's the problem. Am I not setting the hook hard enough? It was pretty frustrating. I posted this on another forum also.

Guaranteed To Catch Bass
Hey RW I have a question? Do you see any problem with using a 4/0 owner twistlock in place of the Gammy EWG? i just get sick of having my baits bunch up on a T-rigged EWG, which doesn't happen with the twistlocks. Just wondering.

Topwater Frogs
Have any of you guys had issues with inconsistency in the Spro frogs body stiffness? I've noticed that some(I have several) are a lot harder/Stiffer than others, especially compared to other brands. I've been on this kick of trying different hollow body frogs as they come out. This year I'm trying the Ish's Phat Frog and the Koppers. I like the Ish's so far, my hookup ratio is pretty good, even with small fish. haven't used the Koppers a lot but am going on a 4 day fishing trip this week and plan on trying it.

Looking For Bass Fishing Publications
Hey guys, Are there any good bass fishing magazines that you guys know of out there? i get Bassmaster and In- Fisherman. I get Field and Stream and Outdoor Life, but I actually don't have a lot of interest in reading about hunting, which takes up most of the year with those two. I'm looking for something to replace one of those. Any Suggestions?

Getting Annoyed With Bass Pro And Cabelas!
this was most of the reason i was annoyed. I don't live anywhere near these stores, I just happened to be going near them in my travels. Didn't want to pay ridiculous charges on a couple of baits, it kinda defeats the purpose of buying cheaper things. Now I understand that Bass Pro can't carry everything they have in the catalog, I still would expect them to carry the things that have their name on them. Sears carries thousand of items too, but if I want a Craftsman cordless drill I'm gonna go to Sears and expect them to have it since its their brand. So I'm gonna have to agree to disagree with the first few posts.

Getting Annoyed With Bass Pro And Cabelas!
Is it wrong for me to get annoyed at these 2 places when I go to their stores looking for particular baits that are their house brands and they don't have them? And I don't mean that they are out of them, they flat out don't have them in the store. I was told by both places"well, you can order them online". I came to the blasted store because I didn't want to order them online. They got plenty of all the other stuff, but in both places I was looking for house brand things and couldn't get them. Sorry, just had to vent!!!!!!!

Fishing In Troy, Ny Area?
Do you have a boat or are you fishing from shore? if you have a boat you are missing some good fishing in the Hudson above you. from Fort Edward down to the Troy dam is excellent fishing, although I would avoid right in Fort Edward due to the dredging.

Fishing Footwear -- What Do You Wear?
I have been wearing Crocs lately and they are awesome. Comfortable and good traction. i would recommend not getting black ones though, they get pretty hot. Also one thing i just found out is that if one of the rivets on the side of your Crocs breaks you can e-mail them and they will send you new ones.

Deps Basirisky Hard Belly Frog??
I also have one of the originals. Apparently the reason they made the hardbelly was to increase hookups by giving the top of the frog a hard base to collapse on. I haven't used it as much as I should seeing how much I spent. I have a thing about trying different frogs all the time. It does have a different action, sort of a side to side wobble like and old Heddon Crazy Crawler.. i do like how soft and pliable the body is compared to some other hollow body frogs I've tried, and it is pretty weedless with just the one hook sticking straight up. Can't hurt to try it if you have the cash, I wish I could find some place local that sells them so I don't have to pay the premium price + shipping. I'd try the hardbelly. Just as an aside, I tried a snag proof Ish's Phat frog yesterday and was pretty happy with the performance. Most of the fish that hit it were smaller and I still had pretty good hookup success.

A New Fishing Line
I'm always hesitant to run out and buy the "Next Great Thing" in fishing lines, there have been some real stinkers in the past(Berkley Vanish comes to mind!) I always like to wait awhile and let them work the bugs out. We'll see about this stuff.

Stanley Ribbit Double Take Vs. Zoom Horny Toad Hook
I've been fishing the Ribbit frogs for 3 years now and switched from a single hook to the double take hook last year. My hookup ratio went way up. You still have to give them the pause after the strike. I almost always hook the fish in the top of the mouth. Just make sure you skin hook the hook points when fishing in Heavy cover.

How Do I Skip With A Bc?
I was watching the Elite series tournament on TV 2 weeks ago and saw Edwin Evers(I think) skip a bait under a tree, and my jaw dropped!!! I can do it pretty well with a spinning rod, but he underhand skipped it about 5 feet under an overhanging branch with a baitcaster, and I had to back it up and watch it like 5 times it was so cool!!!
