Z-Dunham's 2014 Video Thread
Yeah. He barely even touched it and it just came crashing down. Definitely would have broken some bones if it fell in the wrong spot.

The Unwritten "rules"
The ramp is definitely the biggest pain in the butt. The worst thing is when people sit there on the ramp tying their boat down. Once it is on the trailer GET OUT OF THE WAY!

Z-Dunham's 2014 Video Thread
Lake Hopatcong, NJ! Caught a lot of fish in this one but again no giants. Every single bass was caught on a Texas-rigged, weightless, white Senko. There is also an interesting incident with part of a bridge falling on us in the video, lol.

Z-Dunham's 2014 Video Thread
I figure this is a much better idea than posting all of my reports/videos to separate threads after seeing some other users do this. From now on I will just post all my reports/videos here! Made a new video at a small, un-named, lake in PA about two weeks ago. Didn't get around to editing it until last night. Caught a lot of little fish and pickerel but nothing big. It was fun to set the hook hard though! I was throwing a Texas-rigged senko and a chatterbait for the most part. Caught a couple on a spinnerbait as well. A video made at Lake Hopatcong, NJ, from last weekend will be coming out next when I have a free evening.

Plum Colored Baits
I have found purple-ish colors to work well. June Bug and Purple Peal Senkos work amazingly.

Beltzville State Park, Pa 5-24-14
We were back in the main creek for most of the day and a lot of them were spawners. The water was a bit muddy though so we didn't see a lot of them before we caught them. You never know what day Beltzville will be the dead sea again!

Catch And Release Survival Rate
By mortality rate he meant that many die. Not survival rate, which is what you gave. You mixed up the two.

Catch And Release Survival Rate
http://www.bassmaster.com/news/100-survival-rate-classic-bass Survival rate was 100% at the point of releasing them back into the water after the weigh ins and all. I'd be willing to bet 99% survived. I am pretty sure BASSs estimate on this was well over 95% in something I read once.

Catch And Release Survival Rate
Spawn season is another way to tell how good the survival rate is in states where it is catch and release only. You can catch a bass that has obviously been caught 4 times in the last week (I always feel bad when that happens), but they are still alive and kicking.

Beltzville State Park, Pa 5-24-14
Went to Beltzville on Saturday and absolutely killed it. My best 5 fish were just under 15 lbs. Caught everything on a black and red jig with a rage craw trailer. It seemed like every fish I set the hook on was 2.5 lbs. I love days like that. Had one really nice smallmouth as well. Unfortunately I did not have my GoPro camera for this trip so there is no video Attached some pics below!

Catch And Release Survival Rate
Bass respond extremely well to catch and release. Not all species do.

Video Camera While Fishing?
Make that a third person for GoPro. The video quality it is capable of is RIDICULOUS for the price, and they have the best mounting systems to attach your camera to pretty much whatever you want! On a Kayak you could use the adhesive mount to stick somewhere on the boat, you could use the vice grip mount with the bendable neck, or the chest or head mount for a first person POV. The possibilities are endless.

Sunglasses
I am BIG on Amphibia Sport sunglasses. I have the 2112's in white. They float and that is huge for me. You don't want to spend a bunch and lose them in the water. The lens quality is also amazing.

Chris Lane Boat On Fire
See Boeing 787 Dreamliner lithium battery issues. Infinitely more research and testing is put into airplane safety/tech and they still had battery fire issues multiple times.

Deep Diving Crankbaits
I always order from Tackle Warehouse, but that is just my preference. In water that stained I would stick to brighter colors.

What Do You Have Your Drag Set At?
You definitely would do that if you were fishing extremely heavy cover or slop and if the fish goes anywhere it wants to you lose it. I usually set my drag by feel. I adjust it mid-cast sometimes.
-
Why Do People Use Right Handed Reels?
I was also told another reason for this and it has to do with how you hold the rod. A righty using a spinning rod will usually cast with the right hand and then reel with the left, and your hand just stays in the same position on the rod the whole time. With a baitcaster, a righty will still usually cast with the right, but the grip you would use during retrieval is different than the grip you would use while casting, so it is easier to just transfer it to your left hand right into the correct grip and then reel with the right hand, rather than transfer it to the left and back to the right again to get the grip corrected.

My Fiance's New Pb!!
That is one fat bass. Look at the size of the mouth on that thing; pretty sure it will be a 10 pounder someday!
