HAHAHA yeah the snapper in my avatar weighed in at 40 pounds he was caught right in front of one of the holes i hit most often its scary to think of that but ive never had a run in with one yet and if i do then i carry a knife with me all the time either to "convince" the turtle to let go or if need be cut off whatever is stuck hahaha gotta do what you gotta do i know a few people missing multiple fingers from them

nice! yeah my biggest flat head was only like 10-15 my blue on the other hand was a 30 pound monster for me its a monster anyways i think this year i might break it dont know if im quite ready for a 40+ pound cat yet but we shall see! do you keep your fish or release them? i usually release all mine i really need to get a waterproof camera so i can start taking pictures of them i only get pictures if its from a hole if front of the house or if we keep it

been bit by a cotton mouth while noodling and almost drowned from some huge fish wedging themselves in the hole while my hand is in their mouths luckily i havent run into any big turtles like in my avatar in the holes, that wouldnt be fun!

i used to live in so cal still go back and forth there is some decent freshwater fishing there but if you want to get really good stuff your gunna have to travel a little castaic is good havasu has produced all the time for me and you might want to try saltwater bass they are a blast welcome to the forum

who else is ready to get some big boys this summer? i know i am any one else on the forum an avid noodler? ive already got one pre season bullhead small little guy nothing to flaunt im waiting for those big blues and flaties to go up in those holes in the dog days of summer! ive got a feeling im gunna beat my pb this year cant wait!

yeah but they will produce fish no matter where in the water column ive caught 5 pounders in 15 foot of water using a crawfish colored square bill idk why they hit it but they do i think like said earlyer they dont see that detail they just see it and eat it

hey guys i love using spinnerbaits and recently discovered using my number one producing swim bait for saltwater bass (big hammers) as a trailer for swim baits and i think they look awesome havent got to use it yet but when i get back to bama ill defiantly be using it for the largies, let me know what you think or if you too have used something like this, also what do you guys use as trailers if anything and should i use a trailer hook with these heres some pictures of a few of them these are the only colors i have right now that kinda match if the work out im planning on getting colors to mach almost all my spinnerbaits

i always store mine in the bags because the scent and one time i saw this guy who had his all stored in a plano box and he had it in a backback layin on the ground while fishing and at the end of the day they were all melted so i just stick to keeping mine in the bags never had them melt so i guess thats why

yeah i saw that on world fishing network hooking up with mariko isumi i believe and yeah its crazy that it actually works i wonder if it would work for any other fish or if its just stripers its a very interesting topic i would love to know why it works haha

im going to havasu this weekend and want to know good areas to fish from shore and some good lures to use first time going there tareting bass so could use some help thanks guys!

okat thatnks yeah i ussually start out with a spinner bait as the search bait then ill go to some thing slower if im getting short strikes with the spinner thanks for the advise and colors

yeah i like swimming it i went out a few days ago and did the yo yo and dragging but nothing im gunna hang in there im gunna get a few northstars any color suggestions??
