Need .22 Pistol Recommendations.
I would second a Ruger reccomendation. A mark II might be able to be had for ~200, best 22 semi pistol in my opinion, by far.

Home Defense
Im a fan of shotguns, a tactical shot gun course can really be a good time and informative. I like a pump twelve gauge, as I personally believe that pump racking is a noise everyone knows and can be enough as has been shown several times I know of. That being said, I have a Glock 22 by the bed and the shotgun in the corner, as I feel more comfortable with the Glock. NGaHB

Fishing In My Pond... Tips?
Good job man! I agree with whats been said before, add some finesse in there, be it shaky heads (deadly alot of the time), senkos, or whatever you get confidence in. Go find a plastic you think looks good, and then figure out how to fish it. Having a pond of your own gives you the chance to not only catch fish, but manage fish. I would suggest reading up on pond management and I bet you can grow some monsters. Just looking at your photo I know your pond is larger than one of my buddies, yet me manage to pull some decent bass out most of the time. Keep learning and reading, but most of all keep taking time to fish. Dont get caught up in the mistake of reading and talking about fishing more than actually fishing, its a mistake easily made. NGaHB EDIT: I see your fishing in a pond alot of people probably have access to, so some management might be possible, but focus on fishing

Retrieving Snagged Lures From Shore.
I have lost many, and retrieved far fewer. I always set a limit in my head before making my first cast as to how much I'm willing to spend that day. I then avoid throwing things that are more expensive than that or get ready to strip down and retrieve it. NGaHB

Fishing Pressure...
I'm a fan pf small ponds myself, as I can learn them well and target them from the shore. But no matter what your trowing, you will have periods where they are turned onto one type of presentation. When the blue dragonflys start hitting small ponds here in GA there is no other lure that rivals a blue dragonfly fly, pretty much constant action. Either way, this one fella hasnt ruined the pond for you, try talking to him about is tactics. I've never met some one that likes to talk as much as a fiserman! NGaHB

Do Northern Strain Lm Eat Smaller Forage?
Dotty was caught/ facehooked with a jig. I think anything molesting in a bed will get those protective bites. Be it a jig or a a swimbait like matts bluegill. but itd be hard to give the same presentation with a larger swimbait as not many large fish are going to target eggs. just one interpretation tho. Fishing Pressure...
Ive heard bass cant get conditioned to plastics, I dont believe it, but many do. I would mess around with whatever you feel confident with, so my suggestions would be off from what you would be confident with. Go out there and put some solid time in with a few baits you KNOW you can catch fish with. NGaHB

Unreal Gas Mileage
I felt pretty snazzy when my truck had a vacuum operated valve come unstuck jumping my mileage from 10 to 15... about as good as I can expect from a 85 F-150 with a 302. Congrats on the truck! NGaHB

You can always tape a quarter to the back of the avid, balancing a tip heavy rod insnt too difficult

Valdosta Ga
Looking into the bass team defiantly would be solid. Also, go ask some locals if you could trade some work to fish in their pond. I've done it several times and they usually like the offer of compensation, tho they rarely have taken me up on it. -NGaHB

Most Sensitive Of These 6 Rods? -Users Replies-
I have several Kistlers, and find them to be extremely sensitive, but the Magnesiums arnt up to par. Avids are real nice, and sensitive. But for the price of an Avid you could get a Helium LTA, more sensitive in my hand atleast. NGaHB
