  1. man, it is too cold to fish this weekend. I just stayed home and watched my T.V.
  2. Somehow buzzbait work best for me in the morning, maybe it is just the area where I am fishing at.
  3. GK, Actually, shortbasser has offered me a older daiwa reel for my bud. I am grateful that he made that offer, and it free up my funds to buy him lures, line, etc. Thank you again GK.
  4. It was a curoda 200 E7, it does comes with all the original box and manual. The guy who is selling it seems to be a big time fisherman. He had at least 10 shimano, and few rods at that garage sale.
  5. Actually, I did checked out the flea market here and someone had a curado for sale. But he wants 170 for it, I think that reel goes for 170 new. If it is like 120 or something, I might talk my wife into buying it...ohh well.
  6. I have a Daiwa Procaster, heavy, 1/4-1 1/2 oz lure, 17-30lb line and looking for a baitcaster reel. Any suggestions? This rod is sort of old, but I am buying a decent reel and giving it away to a friend who recently lost a leg in the army. After coming back, he never goes out and living on a limited budget. So I took him out for fishing, and he really enjoyed it. But, my wife only gives me a budget of 100 bucks to get him a set(lure, rod, reel, etc). So, any suggestions will help guy, thx. I really appreciated it.
  7. I fish from shore quiet often, and lily pad doesn't bug me at all. I found small mouth intent to stay close to those lily pad, and I have some luck with buzzbait in the morning then T-rig in the afternoon.

Everything was going pretty well today. The weather is nice and catching few bass until I accidentally Step onto my tackle box, then cracked it. > Are you guys taken a tackle box when fishing from the bank? If not, what are you guys using for storage?

Berkley 7" powerworm original scent. I like green pumpkin and electic blue.
  21. Nice bass. easily a 5lber.
  22. Matt, 20 bucks+ per trip for live baits. $4.99/dozen for minnows...not 24 dude! But still over priced, I remember when I was a kid and living at Tyler, Tx it was like 50 cents a dozen.
  23. Bassn Blvd, from my posting above I said $4.99/dozen for minnows and I will get 2 dozens at time. Then 2-3 boxes of grass shrimp, which goes for $4.50/box. That's how I end up spending 20 plus per trip on live baits.
  24. Bassn Blvd, I am talking about small minnows. I get them from a small bait shop on the way to the lake. All the live bait in that shop is raised by the owner; I guess that's why it cost so much?
