  1. A local lake near my house is stocked in the Spring with trout, but I can't seem to catch them on rooster tail. I have tried live bait on a bobber, but only thing I can get is small crappie or sunfish. What color are you guys using for rooster tail?
  2. I have subscription to "In fisherman", and keeping it in the bathroom. It is only ten bucks a year, just something to read.
  3. HaHa. Sweet. ;D
  4. Great catch. where is this pond located it, if you don't mind me asking? Is it a private pond?
  5. okie...point well taken. So been different that made retail management a dead end?
  6. CPA and retail management are two different fields. CPA is accounting, and retail management focus on the business aspect. I have to disagree that retail management is a dead end area. My dad manages retail stores his whole life, and made six figures but he retired few years ago. Accounting is a stressful job, and you need to be in the director level to make 100G plus. More stress and collect the same paycheck. Which one would you choice?
  7. Are you feeding yourself or bass? Shoot, that list made me hungry.
  8. Congrat! My wife and I got one of those as well, I am sure you will enjoy it.
  9. Well, you can consider retail management if you are interested in business. The primary responsibilities are hiring and train staffs, manage inventories, and customer service. Average salary should be at 55,000 dollars/yr.
  10. Sorry. Professor, Mike. I guess you don't know much about financial reports. It is all NUMBERSbut I do apologize for not using proper grammar.
  11. I got it from Toronto, Canada at March of 2007, since I worked there for 2 years and half years. Got a browning spinning reel at the same time, I think that model might 10+ years old as well. I am not sure when that store opened, but they those reels on sale so I picked it up for a decent price.
  12. I have a B.S. in finance/business, and working on my MBA. The pay is ok, but stress level is high because I have to prepare all the departmental reports, budget, etc. Most peoples I know who is in finance/business field usually work 50 hours a week, or more. So say cyz to most of your fishing time.
  13. Wow! Bring a cooler with some beers, I don't mind spend my summer vacation up there.
  14. hahaha....that's probably a good idea reel machanic. I will just finish this year with this broken reel, then go for a shimano next april. I really appreciate your help.
  15. If he is your best friend, I said just open up and tell him the truth. You won't enjoy the fishing trip, if you can't feel comfortable on the boat. I am sure your friend would understand, and maybe let you control the boat. Can't resolve anything without communication..."I sounded like my wife" :-/
  16. ohh wow, i didn't know this reel was made 13 years ago. No wonder that d**n salesman promoted the hell out of it, and I ended up buying it. :-[
  17. Thank you Rooster, I actually did took it apart...
  18. Be careful lose one part and your S O L. According to my Quantum® schematics that reel was in the Quantum/Browning line up in 1994. I'll bet you cannot get any parts for it... It doesn't look like any Shimano® I ever serviced... Good Luck & Tight Lines!!! LOL...I think I need to get a Shimano...I took it part a'ight...but when I put it back together...it doesn't feel the same...
  19. haha.... I went to dickssportinggoods this afternoon, and picked up a reel cleaning kit. So I am going to give it try, let's see how long it takes for me to break this reel.
  20. I am sure their repair service is excellent. I have just made a call to the service center, and they would charge me $55 dollars total for a full cleaning service. Well, that's more than I am willing to pay for a cleaning.
  21. Thanks ReelMech. By the way, what is a 5:1:1 setup? I know it is a ratio of some sort, but don't understand it...man, should of pay attention in math class..haha...
  22. Well, I bought it May of 07 at bass pro shop. :-/ well, it is not an expensive model or anything...
  23. Hi Robe, I actually found the model number, it is right on the reel. I have attached two pics.
  24. Hi guys. I have a two years old browning reel, but don't know the model number. Anyone know how to clean it, and lubricat it? I have been google the instructions for an hour, but no luck. Thanks in advance.
  25. So I was fishing at centennial lake yesterday after work, since wife is not homehaha! I found this nice little spot not far from the boat rental office, and tied on the spinning bait. About 10 minutes after, I got a small bass, not even a lb but hey it is a bass. Now, here comes the funny part. Some random guy walked up to me asked for my fishing license, and said, Hey, this is my spot. Of course, I didn't show him my license then he become very hostile. I was about to fight! But when he saw me put down my fishing rod, he walked away Just a quick though! I know I just started to fish Maryland waters, is there a policy or rule for fishing at someone else's favorite spot?
