  1. What do you use to clean your electronics? I was told to use a mixture of vinegar and water in spray bottle but have no idea if proportions or if this will in fact work. Any tips will really be appreciated.
  2. Spro popping frog because I can throw it anywhere. Hardbait is a tie between PopR and chug bug.
  3. Map study and electronics. At this moment I have a very expensive speedometer (HB 898 SI) on a not that fast boat.
  4. Lipless Spro/ RES in chrome Lip DLN in lavender shad
  5. Lavender shad, Red ear and fire tiger.
  6. For me the chatterbait realy shines in low light/ low visibility conditions. As such I like black/ black and blue baits. I use craws or paddletails as trailers for even more vibration and fish them on a mh/f rod and 6:1 reel spooled with 40lb braid.
  7. I still use Crazy Crawlers whenever I get the opportunity to fish farm ponds and have never stopped using Sluggo's.
  8. I like to think of my tackle addiction as a culling process. I am constantly trying to upgrade rods/reels/lines and lures to what I feel is the best for me. At this stage I feel I have found my spinnerbait combo but feel my main jig rod might benefit from an upgrade. I am only starting out on the jerkbait and square bill journeys ( accompanied by our trusted friend the bait monkey) and look forward to learning what will suit my needs and expectation the best. To the OP, at this stage I have more invested in reels but the rods are starting to catch up.
  9. Good insight. Thanks
  10. That is an artwork. If it fishes even half as well as it looks someone is going to be an extremely lucky angler.
  11. My wife buys al my more expensive gear. The local tackle store owner starts doing back flips and hand stands when she walks in with me. Last year I wanted to buy a curado 50e. The store was out of stock so she bought me a Core 50. We have always spend more money on the other one and must be doing something right as we have been married for 20 years last month. (My gift was a Cumara/ Chronarch combo while I added to her collection of jewelry.)
  12. I have lost so many weights dropshotting that I bought a mold to make my own. No I can get my lure to the fish without worrying about losing the weight. I would rather save tungsten for texas or carolina rigging.
  13. I do the same.
  14. I also have a couple left over. Imo it is a better lure for tigerfish than bass. At least I have caught more tigers on mine and wouldn't mind getting my hands on more before my next trip north.
  15. I have used this rig to get the original Rapala floating minnows into places where the bass have never seen a minnow bait before. Retrieve can be slow and steady or a twitch and jerk with pauses to let the minnow float
  16. I enjoy playing around with rods to try and find the perfect combo for my favorite techniques. This means that I fit my Shimano's on various rods from different manufacturers that work for me. I have tried using only Shimano Crucial rods but find that I would rather use certain rods for function rather than looks or brand name.
  17. I would love to go frogging with Dean Rojas.
  18. For me frogs rule all the way. My last tournament I was using a hollow popping frog, hollow walking frog, two different styles of buzz frog/toad and a swimming frog on a punch rig. I didn't win but did well enough and nobody on the water had more fun. you just can't beat that toilet bowl flush if a solid bass grabbing a frog through the slop.
  19. I also need to stop beating the banks and start fishing where I can't see the bottom. I will have to start leaving the frog rods at home first and I am sure that will be more difficult than to stop smoking.
  20. I also love my cumara but the new color will make me think twice ( or more....)
  21. A homemade version of the Yamamoto shadshape worm or the squirrel tail worm produces for me.
  22. Short answer you will need: plastisol, a heat source, pouring pan/ cup, a mold, color and or glitter. Several suppliers offer kits. You can look at Lurecraft, Bears and others to get an idea of what is available. Warning: This is addictive!
  23. Use it to troll your deep diving Zara Spooks.
  24. You use a 10" powerworm as air freshener in your truck.
