Testing a new rod.
The rod is a Ohero Inshore Slam 7'6" medium action rod. Soft tip but plenty of backbone. I lost 2 fish that strighten out the hooks when I was using a tru-tungsten shakey head jig. It was a nice rod for small swimbaits. It's more of a saltwater rod but it worked just fine for bass. If I was going to use it for bass I would use it with swimbaits and medium size crankbaits. Great soft tip and plenty of backbone. The rating on the rod is 1/4oz-3/4oz. I turned it in today and he said he will tell his production team to go a head and start making them. The reel I was using is a Quantum Accurist 500pt.

1 hour - 1 rod - 1 jig - 1 fish
Congrats on the nice looking fish! The best way to get confidence in a bait is to just take the one out with you.

Testing a new rod.
Went out a couple days ago to try out a rod for a local tackle shop and had a pretty good day. I ended up catching 7 bass from 7pm-8:30pm. I also was fishing with a LC Rick Clunn crankbait for the first time. My 2 biggest bass was one 16" and one 20". So I have to say that I had a pretty good day with the rod. Here's the pic of the 20".

Worth selling 2 rods for 1 better quality rod?
Go for it. Go with the light stuff your body will thank you. I got rid of equipment to go lighter also because my elbow was bugging me when I was about 27. That was 4 years ago and since I have gone light I have been able to fish longer and don't have the pain after fishing like I did before. Now I am always looking to cut the weight down as much as I can.

Curado 100 or Daiwa Sol
I'm looking at these 2 reels for a g-loomis mossyback jig and worm rod bcr853. Unless you can guys can recommend something else. So this poll is to help me decide what would be best.

Looking for reel.
I got a g-loomis mossyback BCR853 rod and don't know what reel would be a good match. I have been looking at the daiwa sol or I have been checking out some of the Japanesse daiwa reels also. I'm looking at anything in the $200-$300 range so hope you guys can give me some good advice. If I was to go with a Japanesse reel what would be a good one to go with.

Zoom Old Monster
I t-rig them on a 5/0 hook with a tru-tungsten 3/8oz. weight. The bass love them. My son caught a 8" bass on one. Not sure what it was thinking.

Baitcaster for Weightless Senkos
I use a daiwa zillion on a 7' custom g-loomis imx rod. I have no problems with this set-up.

Fishing after work.
You should see how dark they look in a lake that I fish that has a ton of cypress trees and the lake is stain. The fish look black in that lake. The bass around me are dark green from hiding in the grass. Here's a pic of a bass in crystal clear lake but full of grass. You'll see how dark it is from lying in the grass.

Fishing after work.
It's not a retation pond. There are a couple around me that have some nice fish but this is a canal off the main lake. I live at Lake Carlton Arms and they have some big bass. Here is a pic of another bass I caught in this lake.

Fishing after work.
Went fishing a couple of days ago after work and had a pretty good day. I caught 12 bass mostly small ones in the 8"-10" range. I did get 1 20" and 3 15" and missed a ton of other hits. All fish were caught on a LC LVR mini. Here's a pic of the 20".
