  1. WTG! Those are some nice looking fish.
  2. Here's his second fish and he lost one bigger than this also.
  3. Took my son out yesterday to see if I could get him a bass and well it worked. Before we left I asked what lure he wanted to use he said the ol monster worm. When I asked why he said because small fish suck and he wanted big fish. Well he didn't get anything huge but he caught a couple of nice bass. I was very excited for him because it was his first bass on a worm. He's caught bass on a horny toads and a spinnerbait before so this was new to him. Can't wait to get him out again. Here's a couple of pics of his fish.
  4. G-loomis rod is all I use. I do use the ugly stick inshore spinning rod for saltwater pier fishing and I think it's a good rod but it's no g-loomis. I have a 7'7" g-loomis bronzeback spinning rod that I just love for bass and beach fishing.
  5. Tru-tungsten makes them and there great. I have the 1/32oz. and it works great.
  6. WTG Guys! I need to start doing some night bass fishing.
  7. I use the 844 and love it. If you want a 6 1/2' rod I would go with the 783. What ever rod you pick you won't go wrong with a loomis.
  8. WTG! Looks like some nice fish.
  9. WTG to the girlfriend.
  10. Congrats on the new PB! Looks like a great fish.
  11. From what I hear the lake is spring feed so it keeps the water a little better. The water level is about 2'-3' from where it should be but I've seen other places that are like what you described. Guess I'm one of the luck few in Florida.
  12. Aren't all the lakes down now in Florida. :-? Yea, we need some rain bad around here. Just keep the hurricanes away.
  13. Another pic.
  14. Went out today after work and had a prety good day. I ended up catching 4 in a part of the lake I haven't fished in awhile. Then I moved to a spot that I have been catching fish every time I go. The spot is about 5' wide and 10' long and is sand bottom with some rocks and grass on each side. I started working a bbh on a 1/4oz. owner sled head and caught 1 2lb. Then, I switched to a wave tiki worm on the 1/4oz. owner sled head and caught a nice 20.5" bass. It was a great way to end the day.
  15. I would say 5lbs. Nice looking fish.
  16. Nice looking bass. Congrats on the PB.
  17. I use 10-20lb power pro and a 15-20lb flourocarbon leader. I tie them together with a uni to uni knot and have never had one slip.
  18. Congrats to your nephew and his pb. Nice looking bass. Wish the pics were a little bigger.
  19. Nice peacock. Wish we had them in Tampa.
