  1. I use 10, 15, and 20lb power pro since it came out on all my spinning reels and have never had a problem. Give it a try.
  2. WTG! Nice looking fish.
  3. It's been a great lure for me since the start of the month. I rig it on a 3/0 ewg hook and buzz it on top. Reel it slow to make sure it stays under and doesn't come up. But what has been working great for me lately is reeling it slow and stop and let it drop and repeat. Most hits come on the drop or right when I start to reel. Hope that helps?
  4. I work it the same way but I use a 3/0 hook.
  5. WTG! Nice hawg.
  6. Congrats sounds like you had a great time.
  7. Jigs. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong but they just don't work for me. Maybe it's because I fish from the bank and not a boat. The other problem I have is I live in Florida and everyone says black and blue is a great color but I haven't caught a single fish on this color.
  8. I've caught more big fish on a zoom u-tail in the winter than any other lure. Besides that I would say a zoom horny toad, baby brush hog, and a wave tiki worm.
  9. Nice hawg.
  10. Wierd. I went to the same store that he bought his, and they were 79.99. It's the orangey copper colored Capricorn. I might have to ask them why they cost so much here. Where are you located?

Congrats on the numbers. Glad you guys are getting rain we haven't seen rain in awhile around the Tampa Bay area.
  12. Went today and the new reel was $139.99 or you can get a 6'6" St. Croix Triumph rod with it for the same price.
  13. I do the samething. I've been doing this for years and it works great.
  14. WOW! WTG! Nice looking fish. What kind of rod is that?
  15. All I see is the lure and something growing out of your fingers. ;D
  16. I agree with basspro48 I think it's 7.
  17. WTG Guys! Looks like you had a great time. I also want to know about the lizard I can't catch anything with a lizard. Maybe it's a Florida thing Avid.
  18. Gotta Love It the big lake had a big fish kill about 2 years ago with all the hurricanes. The found a couple 15lbers dead and saved a few 10-12lbers. Last year I saw a guy catch a 13lber and a friend told me someone caught a 14.5lber so, who knows what's in these lakes around here. I just wish I had a kayak.
  19. Sorry to you Northern guys. It was 82 yesterday so I had to remove the shirt.
  20. Dick's just opened in Tampa and they sell the Capricorn for $139.99. If they had them for $79.99 I would have bought 2. Might have to go check them out today after work and make sure.
  21. I've been using red power pro for the last couple months and think it's great. I've been doing great this year with it. Not sure if it's the line but it works for me. All you can do is give it a try and see what you think. You can go in the outing section and see the pics of some of the fish I have caught using this line. Only problem is after awhile it starts to turn pink.
  22. No I don't fish any other lakes. Like you said no need to with all the fish in the lakes around me. I live at Lake Carlton Arms.
  23. WOW! That's a big Florida peacock.
