  6. i think location is definately key....but if you could get a following of regulars you might do o.k... i live in n.j & there is a store in a terrible location ,but they have a good stock of items & if you place your bass pro order thru them, you get a 10% discount & free shipping.i dont know how they make money with that ,but theyre still in buisness.
  7. definately strange looking, but as long as hes trying to eat he should be o.k...id like to see him at 3 or 4 lbs.
  8. FIRE....... do you like the rods???? is their a brand that you would compare them to??? im thinking about giving them a try just to have a couple spares, but att he same time i might just wait to see if the st croix avids go any cheaper than they already are ....

  10. hey guys, i got a letter in the mail today from acadia sports. they are a new rod & reel co. that are looking to get in the game. has anyone ever heard of them??? check out http://www.acadiasports.com/reels.asp?ru=0&v=&f=e the reels look familiar like they might be from a big brand co. but i cant tell. im not affiliated with them in any way,i just got a letter in the mail with a brochure.. im trying to identify the reels but i cant figure it out....im sure the stuff isnt the best quality but some bigger co. has to make them for them i dont think id buy one but you never know let me know if you can identify the reels............

  18. i have a symetre 2500 & this reel has single handedly made me a die hard shimano guy.....i want to upgrade to more expensive reels but i love this one so much i dont think i need to.i dont own a 1500 but i saw one on sale & think i might grab it. you done good earl............... ;D ;D ;D
  19. if your talking about the quest rods sold at dicks sporting goods..........THEYRE JUNK!!!....but i bought one to beat around & for the price, you wont lose much when it breaks. i give this opinion because my bro bought one & it broke when he was fighting a 5 pounder(worst time to break).he retuned it for a replacement & the new one broke within a couple months.
  20. well muddy man, i shouldnt have said he was dumb, but cmon man if money were NO OBJECT would you use the pfleuger or would you buy the best? i dont own a stella but i have handled one ...i dont like pfleuger(my friend WAS a pfleuger guy until 2 of them broke) & wouldnt buy one,so its easy for me to be negative against them. just my opinion i know dodge guy will be reading this soon ;D : ;D
  21. hes a dumb ***!!! thats all i can say..... id have about 10 of these http://fish.shimano.com/catalog/fish/products/group_detail.jsp?FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302036664&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=1408474395181270&bmUID=1188611735175
  22. i own a pinnacle lucille spinning reel...id say its o.k , but doesnt compare to my shimano symetre...it works good but it feels "cheap" next to a shimano.im not saying its junk, but i wouldnt buy another one
  23. all i can say is "use a $200 reel & you wouldnt say this"....their is a huge difference in quality equipment & it will hold up much much better too. i used to think like you when i was using bps bionic blade rods(which i liked),but when i switched to st croix avids, ill never go back
  24. well guys...i snatched it up. i used my $10 coupon & got it for $69........ ;D ;D i just cant pass up a deal...its a little "light"for my taste, but im going to put some time in learning how to drop shot, so it will come in handy.... thanks for all the input!!!!!!!!
