Tungsten Vs Lead
Here is what I don't get about these bans, what about jigs, spinnerbaits and most baits that when you read about them contain lead, I am all for the environment but really most fishing lures that I spend time to read about contain lead. My river has far worse problems that lead from anglers I just hope this state never passes such top down law, the fertilizer run off needs to be address first.

Organizing Soft Plastics For Easy Access?
I will echo what others have already said, use a ziplock freezer bag and organize all baits by type, worms/swimbaits, dropshot, trailers and tubes/creatures. I am at a point where I tend to forget where did I put those Berkeley helgramites, overall it works. My biggest issue is plastics bending my trailer bag is a mess with zoom trailers bent every which way but I don't have room to put them in a plastic box, I have found if you lay them straight and take out the air they tend to stay straight however as soon as you open one up you need to do it again.

Where'd We Go Wrong
Old timer tells me that carp jump out of the water to clean there gills, what I used to think was bass from shore was really carp, they make huge explosions. I don't agree with everything he says because I have seen "on tv" Bass jump out of the water on bait balls, he claims bass do not jump out of water when they are not hooked.

What Exactly Is "open Water"
Space the final frontier, just means no objects except fish.

Do Bass Migrate?
I believe its a proven fact that bass cant dive deep, fast and they typically spook and swim on horizontal plane with 3-5 feet depth changes if i remember correctly. This is why we can predict bass stages and locations, especially during pre-spawn..

How Big Would You Say She Is?
Maybe 3#, more than 2.5#, she has a pretty color is that light red typical of fish in that pond? Almost looks like a rainbow trout color.

Do Bass Migrate?
To me Sayers seems like a common setup, river damned and flooded to create lake, so the creek is still there its just under more water, so in my mind the fish are still there. That being said LMB will win out over SMB population wise, with this competition maybe it does make sense for the smallies to migrate.

Do Bass Migrate?
In that lake with my very little knowledge of it, I think they go deep, there are some big smallies in that lake and to think they all but a few travel back up the river system seems off. Only looking at maps since I have not been to the creek personally, its not very large and it gets downright narrow when I follow it. Of 16 people only 3 caught smallies last week I was one of them and it was a healthy looking fish, small and in less than 3 feet of water in a rocky area. Is there a mass migration of smallmouth to that small creek, maybe but I think they go deep in summer. Dont get me wrong I have seen big smallies in shallow/small creeks but Sayers holds a large population of large smallies one that I don't think bald eagle creek can support. If I had a boat! with electronics and time I am sure I could dissect or least have a better understanding of the fish here.

Broken Rod Question
Over the weekend I broke a center guide on my MojoBass and wont be able to send it in for repair before our tournament. My backup rod is an old Ugly Stick that I used for jerkbait fishing, my question would you temporarily tape the guide skipping the broken one and or use the ugly stick? The MojoBass is used for jerkbats, cranks and pop-rs, I wont have time to practice with the ugly stick so I am not sure how its going to perform compared to a broken rod?? I haven't used the ugly stick in 15 years I know it worked for jerkbaits but not as good as the MojoBass, input please..

Clear Water, Thick Grass Baits
Drop shot a 4inch robo worm, use a weedless dropshot hook, you can make a robo worm dart like a jerk bait or just sit motionless in there faces.

Absolute Worst Day.
Yesterday almost fell out of the boat and broke my rod, bent my reel handle and a lure on my stradic and mojobass. I was able to bend the reel back to almost normal and can get the rod replaced for 30+$ Goods news is I caught my limit and a nice bass. You will have these days, chin up keep at it and you will hook another..

Best Line To Use
8#mono for the jekrbaits, I believe mono helps with better hooks ups, for me. I use Berkeley XT it has less stretch then my stren mono and its tuff. I have tried braid on jerkbaits I don't believe it creates better action but I certainly lost more fish on it. Swimbaits braid, a leader in clear water.

Stained Water Baits
Personally black and blue is my go to in stained/muddy water. Also larger baits in this color range helps, slowing down helps and anything that gives off allot of vibration like a chatterbait helps.

A Jiging Question.
Use a tube type bait small profile, no weight, Texas rigged simply pull it over the scum and game on. Have another rod with a stick-bait weedless no weight and when a bass misses just toss that guy in the hole the bass makes and hang on.

Braided Line Questions
Sorry OP I know I am way off topic here to show another viewpoint. I have read and watched biologist say many things, the fact is we don't know, I am not saying biologist are off on the 15 minutes of memory as we humans understand Bass memory, Bass are not humans they didn't evolve to rely on memory. That is why I use the term conditioning. You could argue instinct is a form of memory that gets passed on through genes, which spans many millions of years of memory. I would imagine that automatic feeders break down, need to be fixed and or someone forgets to put feed in them, I would also imagine it would take longer then 15 minutes to remedy this issue, I would bet the fish would be quick to return once they felt the fish dispensing presence working again. I believe when a bass is actively feeding line probably doesn't matter, while I cant prove this with schooling bass line might not matter as much because of competition. But there are factors that line clarity matters, I have seen it, I have experienced it and I use it to my advantage. Look at other examples of people that have bass as pets on youtube, Bass know that they are being feed they recognize something, in the wild Bass swim away as soon as they see us in captivity they swim towards us, explain that conditioning, I would imagine most species of fish can be conditioned in this way, go to an aquarium and see for yourself. I want to add, Erie PA and Gobbies, SMB never had this food source and now they do, and man do the fish exploit this and so do we and in this example the fish are as smart as a human.
