Feeling guilty.
Life is too short to mix fishing with politics and religion.

girl scout cookies
Do Si Dos...I love 'em. Here's a nice trick. Put some french vanilla ice cream in a bowl. Take 4 Samoas and put them on top. Pop the bowl in the microwave for 30 - 60 seconds and enjoy!

Mosquito repellent (not for the squeemish)
The video almost makes me think that the guy had just come from a trip somewhere and had preserved his infection just for the video on a desert camping trip. Duct tape over a wound? The removal of duct tape with no screaming? Vaseline under duct tape? I say it's a set up and the guy is a freakin' creepy idiot. The people with the video camera and the "fascination factor" creep me out as well. "Hey, I got a warble! Get the camera and pluck it out! I'll be cool (I hope this impresses the Chicks) Hey, it don't hurt...." That is one creepy group of people.

Tower of Power
Muddy Man, That is very very Cool. 8-) My buddy and I hitchhiked 50 miles to Pittsburgh in the fall of 1976 with just enough money to get into the Parliament concert. Well, we didn't have enough money to pay what the scalpers were askin' so we hung out in the parking lot of the civic center and listened anyway. We had a ball partyin' with the rest of the people in the lot. They were amazed that two honky red necks from the sticks had the "nerve" to venture there to get down with Parliament and with "the PFunk"...It was a very cool trip. We had a great time....from what I can remember.... 8-) We hitched a ride back home in the wee hours of the morning in the back of an open farm truck. It was raining and we nearly froze to death. Our families never found out and neither did our friends. We were two lovers of serious hard rock with a penchant for The Funk. I am still a Metal Head at age 46 but I have a passion for Funk.

adding salt to the wound?
LBH, The Pacer was no "icon" and there was no dope involved in the development of that thing...I think it was developed by a bunch of up tight moms and dads so that any activity inside would be seen by everybody in the outside world! There was no drinkin', no smokin' and no back seat olympics in that car without any one and everyone seeing it! That is for certain. ;D That car came out when I was in high school and I remember the "raves" :-? it got when a couple of 'em showed up in the campus parking lot.

Tower of Power
Thanks Muddy Man. Reminded me of my Sophmore year in high school when my friend Chuck and I discovered Parliament. PFUNK. All the rest of our friends were in shock. ;D

Anna Nicole Smith - dead
Gents, There's no sense in fussin' or arguin' over this issue. Makin' a stand on a collapsing hillside makes about as much sense as defending a melting snow fort. No one wins.

Musical talent
DARN! I clicked on this thread thinkin' I was goin' to hear some tunes. Avid, "playing with" and "playing" the SF have two totally different meanings my friend.

You guys trust those discount tire shops?
Bream Master, If you are referring to Discount Tire or America's Tire Company stores they are very reputable and they have very good deals. I have bought most of my tires from them for years. They are one and the same company. They usually have the best prices for my favorite tires. I do buy name brand tires though. They do offer cheaper brands at a discount but I have no experience with them. I learned a hard lesson years ago with Pep Boys when I outfitted my car with their "Carlisle" brand of tires, as I was strapped for cash. The tire ratings looked very good on paper. The dry pavement ratings were excellent and the wet pavement ratings were very good....Not True at all. I nearly crashed my car in a moderate skid situation on a rainy day with my wife and 5 year old daughter inside the car. I was very upset. The situation that I was driving in shouldn't have been a "skid" situation at all. It was a rainy day on a moderate downhill slope coming into a red light intersection. The term "club" tires has me wondering...what brand are you looking at? Better yet, try this link and see if you can find a good safe tire for your car and then go shopping: http://www.tirerack.com/index.jsp?keyword=Homepage&GCID=C13674x017& Please don't compromise safety for savings.

Musky in Wisconsin
Here are a couiple of links that might help you. http://www.muskiecentral.com/ http://www.muskie-fishing.ca/ http://www.muskie411.com/ I just did a Yahoo search on Muskie Fuishing. Good luck, have fun and don't stick your hand it it's mouth. Also, be careful how far you put your fingers up into the gills. The teeth go way back in the mouth. I did that one as a kid when my dad caught a muskie. OUCH!

mounting fish
The biggest bass that I have caught so for in life was 7.5-8 pounds. That is a guess. I didn't have a scale. I released it...well, it actually released itself. It struggled right out of my hands and over the edge of the boat dock into the water as I was bending down to turn it loose. I think the final decision is up to the person that catches the fish. I would get a replica made and turn the fish loose. I honestly think that I would even turn a world record fish loose after the measurements and photos. Yeah, like that's gonna happen! ;D How much do these replicas cost? Tom

I hate Albuquerque and their stupid cameras
They tried these cameras in California. They failed. The key is that to be cited one must be cited by a sworn officer of the law. Getting a mailer of your offense is not "being cited". Check the laws in your area. Also, ask the courts for the calibration records of the electronics. Most of them aren't calibrated and if they are ask them if the calibration was done intact or in a lab. If they were done in a lab there is a chance that they were made "uncalibrated" in transit and during installation. Be advised that showing up at a court appearance and espousing these excuses will get you no where. You'll need an attorney. AND, if you have to tell your attorney this, you picked the wrong attorney!

Need your help.
Tiptruck, Ape hangers are for idiots. I mean no offense but they are dangerous and they do not alllow you to control a bike. Try some moderate handle bars. Looks are one thing. Control is another. Believe me.

why wont it work on my lake???
I do know this much. Topwaters aren't working on my lakes now due to the weather and water conditions. The bass have gone deeper. I have fished bodies of water that topwaters did not work. Any number of conditions could have been in play to cause this. Also, like some of the guys said, timing is everything. At dawn and at dusk topwaters work great for me. Other times of the day they don't.

Colors that Bass See?
All I know is that I have good luck with silver colored lures and hardly any luck at all with red and some with green. Go figure.

Hook Cutting Pliers?
Travlin Man, Thank you very much. That is exactly what I was looking for. I'll be placing an order. I keep tools on board for every contingency in regards to fishing. I like having needle nose pliers, cutters and forceps but I need the D-Barb cutters to round out my kit. Thanks, Tom

Hook Cutting Pliers?
Thanks Men but these pliers I am interested in have a long snout and can cut a hook off down deep in the fish so that the hook tip rusts away or is absorbed and discharged by the fish's natural physical characteristics. What I am looking for is a plier / cutter that if a fish is hooked deep with a lure you can snip the hook rather than hurt the fish severely by trying to remove the hook. The barb end of the hook can be disintegrated by the fish's natural defenses or rust away not causing life threatening damage to the fish. I saw an ad for pliers like this late one night on cable and I'd like a pair of them. I have all the gear for removing hooks and lures from the fish I catch but I'd like to not fatally harm the fish that may swallow my lures. Spring is coming and I really like to release my fish so that they can breed, live and bear more off-spring.

Help: Stringers - Suitable for C&R??
A basket will kill the fish if it's not dangling open from a boat. Fish hooked through the mouth from a good stringer have a good chance of living. Hooking a fish through the gills with a stringer is bad business for the fish.

Chub
T-Rig, They look like carp. It's amazing to me that you caught them on lures. Very Cool! 8-) Are they carp? I think of chubs as large minnows caught in streams that we use for bait. The photos you posted look like carp with a trout mouth. Interesting. Thanks for the photos. Why not put your location in your signature line. Folks would love to know you're from Switzerland. Edited: Sorry T-Rig. I made a mistake on your location.
