  1. This is what I do. Is the line on your reel worth saving?
  2. That SX sure is pretty. I like the bent star and handle. That is one turn off on the S model. I have 60 dollar BP reels that have fancier handles then it
  3. That new revo s is purdy! I don't know if I can wait that long ha ha
  4. I jig fish 90% of the time so I thought I would make my Silver Max, which is my main jig set up and move it to something like a frog or finese rig. That way giving me a better and smoother reel for jig fishing. Only draw back to both reels is no flipping or pitching switch.
  5. I got a 100 dollar gift card for my bday and am thinking about getting another reel. I have the Abu Silver Max and love the quality. I was thinking about moving up to the Revo S. They are 99 dollars. My other option is the Pro Qualifier. I have one that I use for cranking and love it. Kinda torn here. What are the pros and cons of each? Thanks in advance
  6. Thanks. I just didn't know if it had a shelf life. Never had line in bulk before lol
  7. Is the tension knob on the right completely out of the way?
  8. Just had an idear. Here is a good quality used here on the forums here for 32 shipped. Finding a decent rod for 20 bucks should be too hard.
  9. How long will line last if kept on the main spool indoors out of sunlight and elements etc? I am thinking about buying the Yo-Zuri hybrid ultra soft 600 yard spool. I want to use this for my spinning rods but the 600 yards will last several years. Thanks in advance
  10. Do you have a Bass Pro near you? They have a mega cast combo for like 40 bucks. I would rather buy it than one at Walmart. Go on Bass Pros website and look at the Tourney Special LTD combo. I love it. Honestly one of my favorite combos. 59.99 on sale.
  11. I'm no expert but that looks like a saltwater rig. Might be a bit big for bass.
  12. If you find a place selling them I would like to try them as well. I have always been impressed with Culprits plastics
  13. I pop it. I always thought that's why it had that funky nose. Plus I usually get my biggest strikes on the pop
  14. Another Cubbie fan that can share the pain. Your state requires a minimum of 6 pounds to keep a bass? Nice catch though. My 5 year old loves the Senkos. He catches more fish on them than I do
  15. Don't feel bad, I had to google how to take the cover off. My brakes happened to be set correctly when I bought it so I lucked out. I got to hand pick my rod from 20 plus on the rack. I just chalked the miss alligned guides to customers banging them around. I like the reel so much I may end up getting another one
  16. That was my problem at first when switching to fluoro before I new it sank like a brick. Took me awhile but I got it down. I assume it will be like starting over again.
  17. Thanks. My top water rod for the time being is an Abu 6' Medium. Not sure of the tip but the 6' helps when using spook type baits. I'm shore bound.
  18. Do you use all of those? Man now that's a collection
  19. Anyone having as much trouble tieing this knot as I am. I kinda pride myself on my ability to figure stuff out pretty quick. All this knot did was made me raise my BP. I've watched a few videos on you tube and the knot wars app but I can't seem to figure it out. I love the strength of this knot on paper but the improved clinch knot seems a hellova lot eaiser
  20. In your alls experience, what brand or type size etc, braid floats the best. I have been using Fluoro and when running a top water popper, when I slow down the retrieve the line sinks to fast and it screws up my presentation. I have read that braid floats. I just bought a spool of 50# Power Pro and used it today. Still some getting use to, but over all kinda happy. I love the no stretch on hook sets and want to use it for my top water rig, but curious to see what floats the best. Thanks in advance
  21. Thanks. Yes. I don't throw many at all. I want to get more into it, but using frogs in my area is few and far between. I go back home once or twice a year and fish them then. I will give it a whirl and see what happens.
  22. I don't know if it's the same one as Walmart sells. It's the cork handled model. 49.99 from bass pro
  23. That's just it. I have two of them and don't want to buy something just for frogs.
