  4. I'm putting together my travel bag that has 3 3600 Plano boxes and now I need to pack some plastics to come along in the kayak fishing with me. I fish ponds lakes and rivers for SMB and lmb. What are your favorite plastics for spring and pre spawn and how do you fish them? I live in New England if it makes a difference
  5. I've seen a bass take a small 10" snake don't know that it was swallowed and kept down. But they wouldn't make 10-12" worms of bass wouldn't atleast snap on them. What would really shock and awe me would see one takin a baby duck or alligator as someone mentioned in here. The feelin of one of those 2 animals In a mouth would be horrible so I think
  6. Ill say that's a great day. What part of the country are you in? Those are some chunky pre spawners can't wait until it warns up here in the north east
  7. The city does chart most larger waters and some smaller ones. What's the name of the lake and what county? If you do a goole search for the lake name depth map you may get lucky or check navionics website or nauticalcharts.com
  8. I'll be damned dude. I have never checked this lake before but have checked almost 100 others in nh/ma and found none. U check one n it has one. I must look like a tard but I assure u this might be the only in the state
  9. Thanks guys. We do have reservoirs most that have been around for ages and maybe te creek as silted over. I do In fact have the latest navionics hd with sonarchart on my phone however can't find any in my area with creeks marked. Did you see any Wayne or mumbly?
  10. I'm struggling to find maps of local water bodies in the north east with creek channels river channels shown. I've seen them In southern lake maps as well as online mapping software but it seems that here in New England they don't bother showing them. So my question is that is there a way to find the channel based in the contour lines? I live in New Hampshire in case any of you want to look at a lake map for here and see what I mean
  11. Other great idea I will check out. What about any maps with them included? Or online mapping software ?
  12. That's a start. So that is for my computer? I have navionics hd on my phone which shows excellent contours but no channels. I have a winnipesaukee hotspots map that show a boating channel which I would imagine is dredged out some. But a lot of the reservoirs up here were dammed so long ago it's hard to find pre dam Topos I have however found a couple but I was on a NC of VA website researching the subject and my topo.com shows channels within their waterways down there but not up here
  13. I read all the time the importance of finding and fishing creek channels and old river beds within another bigge body o water. From reservoirs to ponds and rivers bass use these channels as highways to travel. I know most southern and mid western fishing maps have these mapped out on topo maps and fishing hot spot maps. Does anyone know of a line of maps or websites that show creek/ river channels within the topography of other bodies of water. I've found a couple by chance but there must be more that people on here know. Maybe the guys with electronics can chime in??
  14. Seems I've missed my chance at purchasing the bass bets books by Ted anchor. I remember when they were all available and I thought maybe ill wait until I search stores first. 19. It's all going to depend on when the rain stops and what kind of body of water you intend on fishing. Is it a lake pond or river or reservoir. The run off Ito the back of bays and creeks will have an effect on the fish but if it stops tonight suday will probably be best as the runoff will settle as water levels will begin to stabilize. There is a small article In this months November bassmaster about late fall and rain storm fishing. Check the bassmaster website it'll be on there or go to Barnes and nobles and pick up a copy. You'll learn a lot from them. Good luck
