  1. Pumpkin , smokin shad, watermelon, baby bass all work good for me.. I don't think you can go wrong with senkos .
  2. Thanks everyone..I may get a red eye shad strike king and a few if those cotton Cordell chrome rattle traps for now to practice with..I think there only about 2$
  3. Okay so I'll make it quick..I'm on and off with crankbaits..I really like the kvd squarebills but I'm curious about the lipless cranks..I know they more less sink or swim however you want then too but I'm curious how people are liking them and just to make sure do they just swim at whatever depth you retrieve them?
  4. Ill have to get some..I mostly power fish but I'm going back to a little Texas rigging lately..wanted to try them out this fall thanks for all the replies..
  5. same here..I have at least 4 rigged with diff things at all times ..just keep putting down and picking up
  6. alright thanks guys..
  7. I've heard alot of people say shakey heads are working well right now..I've been texas rigging and using jigs too and its been slow..btw my conditions are about the same as your describing..
  8. Thanks I'm pretty curious myslef to try it..I may buy a small spool first and just spool one rod for now before i tear all the line off my rods..
  9. Educate me on flouro lines..I have never used them before and pretty serious about trying them out..I'm a big fan of stren mono 12 lb and that's about all I use..I fish ponds about 2-3 days a week..and the lakes about once a month with a friend who has a bass boat..I use only baitcasters and all I do is bass fish...I've heard some people say they swapped over and there fishing really picked up, but I know how that goes too lol...idk I wanna know the ins and outs from people who use then and people who have used them..thanks in advance.
  10. What size are you using?
  11. Oh okay..I was looking at the ones for Texas rigging..the bullet weights
  12. One more thing to add..I've heard you can feel the bottom and cover better with them.. But you only get like 3 for 8$ let me know very curious.
  13. Do the tungsten(insert free) Texas rig weights make much difference? I use regular cheap lead weights and I was curious..They are a little pricey but I've been curious last few trips to the store thanks..
  14. I've had great success with them and they are fairly cheap too..I recently stopped using them,no reason just started using other things for a change..I haven't fished worms in quite a while.. My catch ratio was higher with the culprits though..crawdad was my best color though.

So I recently ran into a bunch of old plastic worms and lizards at a yard sale..I got a huge box of probably 1970's plastics still in the plastic wrappers all greasy and wet..I got them so cheap I thought I would just get them to mess around with..I wouldn't put them in my tackle bag cause they were so greasy lol.I put them in some old Plano boxes. I am a firm believer in technology and the science that goes into today's lures.. But every time I use these old paddle tales I actually do better I don't know what it is.. It's like my catch ratio goes up every time I use them.. I still haven't used them a lot but its crazy how I do so well with these old lures.. The worms are just simple paddle tails and the lizards actually look like little people with a tail lol..I'm curious if the greasy substance is actually an attractant or what? The guy I bought them from said they had been in his storage building for years and years.

that's funny the space monkey part..love those baits
  18. I may consider doing this some..I carry a big stuffed bag already to the bank.. and I was thinking about getting that KVD Plano bag which is even bigger lol..no need for all that tackle
  19. I've never seen them out of the shell..but for 2$ I'd buy them all day long.
  20. Wacky rigged senkos are dangerous and a good go to if your not catching anything ..
  21. K thanks for the tips ..yeah I use the squarebills and senkos pretty often..I had tried the rage tails lately and had good success..wanted to get that put there so people would give them a try if they havent. I overlooked them for so long..
  22. So I started using rage tail craws recently and had lots of success.. T-rigged,jig and weightless.I have been using coffee scented craws watermelon red flake and been burning them up..I do have a question though.I was curious what other stuff people have used and had good success with?
