Flipping/pitching Combo?
Hey everyone, as the title states I am in need of some help. I have recently decided that I need to purchase a flipping/pitching combo, as I have become quite a fan of the skill. I am interested in the Quantum Energy Casting Reel, but I am not sure about the rod. The Dobyns Savvy Casting Rod seems nice, but there are two rods, micro-guide and the regular. I would probably purchase a 7' Med Heavy Rod. The Micro-Guide is cheaper, but I am not sure if it will hold up for what I will be using it for. So anyone with previous experiences with a micro-guide rod or the products I listed, please help me!!! Thanks

Best Thing To Throw This Time Of Year?
I went out and slayed em yesterday burning a Rat-L Trap along beds. I was fishing a deep murky pond but the water level was low and I could see the beds barely, a SK Squarebill in Sexy Shad color also produced.

Berkley Havoc Baits
Havoc baits are the dominant brand on baits I have in my tackle bag! The Pit Boss is killer, recently tried the Wide Load with lots of success. The Juice Worm and Grass Pig are also good baits.

First Airbrush Purchase
As the title states, I am requesting a little help on my first purchase of an airbrush. I have gotten really interested in creating crankbaits that I like, with the colors I want, with total customization! Just sounds like fun too. I started with the idea of getting an Iwata Revolution, went for about $99 not including tax. But, by doing more research, I found a Iwata Eclipse HP-CS, priced at $199. But, with the Hobby Lobby 40% discount, it comes out to around $120. So....let's say including cleaning supplies, paint, etc. I am in the $200 price range. Is this a good buy? The brush comes with a pistol grip see-through moisture trap thing, and a couple paints with a bottle of cleaner. I think it's a great buy! Opinions? P.S. I have a compressor already, so that's not a worry, but what PSI should I aim for? Some so 30-40, some say below 20... Any help is appreciated thanks!

Airbrushing Lures?
Wow. Tons of info man!!! Really appreciate it all! Found out I already have a tool compressor, so that'll save me some money! Looked at tackleunderground.com too, found some great info, I am almost positive I am going to try and find a solid Paasche, seems like a good starter airbrush, but it'll still last me a good time. Can't wait to start! Thanks again for all the info!

Airbrushing Lures?
Hey everyone, I have seen many posts on here about people airbrushing cranks, and some look pretty awesome! That got me thinking, and I now really want an airbrush? Only problem is...I have absolutely no idea what to do. I don't know how they work, what I need, how to do it, etc. I'm not looking to spend too much either, from what I have read, $100 could get you a decent starter set. So, I am pretty much asking for a whole run-down on airbrushing, and hopefully some recommendations on gear, techniques and stuff! Thanks! So,

Why Lc Pointers And Megabass Jerkbaits?
Pointers are like Senkos almost, you can buy something that looks the EXACT same for a lot cheaper, but for some reason they just work better than the cheaper brands. No explanation, it's just one of those things. Although, I have bought a 5 pack of worms that imitated Senkos for 48 cents, and they worked perfectly. I also use Smithwick Rattlin Rouges, and they work just fine!

Alligators In Jacksonville
Ponte Vedra is loaded with them. Multiple times I have had nice 3 footers come after my frogs, some real big ones just stare directly at you. Gets pretty annoying having to leave a great spot because of them. As far as Bartram area goes, I'm not much help, sorry.

First Boat Help?!
Hey everyone, as the title states looking to buy my first boat, but I don't know much as to brands and such, and looking for some good reviews as to your favorite boat brand, and why. Currently I am looking at used, and it would be mainly a bass boat, and I would like to take it inshore sometimes. The boat I am looking at now is a 1995 Pro Sports Flats Boat. It has a 90hp Suzuki and that's all the info I know about it, haven't given the guy a call yet. Is this brand good? From my research it seems solid, nothing amazing nor terrible... Any help would be great, thanks!

Jacksonville Fl Shore Fishing Help?
Reading through these forums and visiting everyone's profiles, it seems to me that a lot of you have "Pond behind Publix" either as your favorite spot or have posted something good about it. Using google maps, I assume your talking about the one off I-10? I really REALLY want to fish this pond, but it's gated? IS this something you all just ignore haha, or is it open somewhere? Do the employees mind? All help would be appreciated. Alos, the "Law School" pond. Somewhere in the downtown area I believe, can someone give me an address? Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Northeast Florida Power Plants?
Appreciate the answer man, did a little research and your right. I was so caught up with the whole, "power plants are bass heaven" idea that it slipped my mind that as cold as the air temp may get, the water temp is no where near as bad! I'm just gonna keep hitting up my normal spots, althought thanks for listing the JEA ponds!! Again thanks man!

First Kayak Purchase Please Help?!?!?!!
So sorry I never got back to you on this. Really appreciate your post! This helped a lot, but I still haven't purchased a yak. I'm just gonna hold off right now, my financial situation doesn't have room for a kayak haha. Just wanted to say thanks for the post! Very informative, and this will definitely be the best help when I finally buy one!

Northeast Florida Power Plants?
If your reading this, you probably know Florida has some of the most bi polar weather possible. One day it's 70, the next 30...seems though we have had a large amount of cold fronts passing through, and I think we still have a good couple weeks still of cold weather. So, that brings me to my question...power plants. Hot water in the winter is always known to produce bass, so where are they??? I cannot seem to find the power plants in the Jacksonville area? Anyone know of any/they're favorite spot? Thanks!

Getting A Bass Pro Shops!!!!!
Sorry if this seems off topic, but has anyone ever taken notice to the health of the fish in the BPS fish thanks? I visited the Savannah GA BPS last weekend, and there was a LARGE amount of sick looking fish. Pale/Yellow colored, red sores around the mouths, extremely skinny. Talked to some employees, found out the tank was taken care of by a man whom owns a local fish farm, kind of weird someone who takes care of fish for a living has a tank full of sick/possibly dying fish. They said it's one of those aquarium diseases a lot of fish get". It's pretty sad knowing that 12 pound monster bass in there might not be living next month. Anyone else noticed this or have any opinions? Thanks guys.

First Kayak Purchase Please Help?!?!?!!
Hey everyone, as the title states I am looking to make my first kayak purchase. Kinda nervous, really don't want to end up with something i'll be uncomfortable in...So, let me tell you a little about what I am looking for: I don't really know much, just from what I have researched I want a sit on top kayak, but my main concern is comfort. I know I will get use to stability and the way it tracks such and such, etc. I am just worried about turning about to get my gear, paddling without hitting my rods and stuff. I plan on holding 3 rods, 2 in the back, one trolling and then 1 upfront with me. Dry storage I doubt ill need much, I don't plan on going on 3 day weekend adventures in it, just a day of bass fishing. I found 2 kayaks that I think could be nice, looking for opinions... Looking to stay under $800 for the kayak, hopefully thats a pre rigged Angler Kayak, I would prefer not to self-rig it. Ocean Kayak Tetra 12 Angler Native Watercraft Redfish Angler Also, and kayak fishing, kayaking, any sort of advice is always wanted! Thanks!

Northeast Florida Bassin
I took a ride down to Sawgrass and some PV neighborhoods, caught a couple nice 3#, some small ones, and had a monster 8-10# who was stripping line off a tight drag, he somehow got off though . How'd you all do this weekend?

Traveling is no big deal, Im headed out tommorow morning so anything at all would be great! Good luck to you guys!
