  1. Perfect timing ... I have a bunch of good stuff I would like to donate. Is this it? http://www.fishingoutreachprogram.com/Home.html
  2. You and me both ... My suggestion is to get something good quality if you are going to do this at all. I just got my order of stuff to make soft plastics and I am going to spend the winter recycling old lures. I didn't want to make new stuff per se but i'm sure I will get around to it ... LOL By the way I bought all my stuff from lurecraft.
  3. I use them with a 1/4oz ball head jig for smallies.
  4. Just went through that "cleanse" this winter. I have 6 rods/reels which I use as a co-angler 3 baitcasters - All FC 10, 15 and 20 1 baitcaster - 12 lb mono 1 spinning - braid 10lb (FC leader if necessary) 1 spinning - FC 8lb The FC is Seaguar Invizx The Braid is PowerPro The mono is Sufix Elite I left behind co-polymer, super lines etc. these work for me.
  5. Agree 100% here. I would go a little step further and do a trick I learned from a friend. 1). Tie the like to a tree. 2). Take out as much line as you possibly have by walking away. Keep tension on the line. About a decent cast length is sufficient. 3. Spray the spool with KVD 4. Spray a rag with KVD and put the line in the rag so it gets a good dose of it as you reel it in. 5. Have fun with this part but reel in while you keep the rag there. This eliminates any twists as well as pits a good dose of KVD on the line. If this doesn't work ... Respool.
  6. I stick with the 5" Senkos. As for colors you can't go wrong with those colors (black, green pumpkin). I also have success with baby bass, and like the post above green pumpkin magic & watermelon magic.
  7. I PMd you. I will call you tomorrow with the details.
  8. Im in. My buddy and i will be there Sunday.
  9. Halfway through the book and I learned so much already. All I can say without giving away the ending is that it expanded on knowledge which is covered in mainstream bass books.
  10. This is a great bait. Use them all the time.
  11. Grizzin... you can join as a co-angler.
  12. I didn't know about it. I might go. Do you have a URL for it?
  13. I experimented with both the floppy hook and a tight rigged trailer and really found no difference in my catch %. As for color. I rarely see red trailer hooks available so i only buy the regular.
  14. Gamakatsu 1/0 trailer hook. Never leave home without it.
  15. Well said. Agree 110%. Thank you all!

    Welcome
  17. I was looking for floating worms which I could use drop shotting and on a shakey head. Just bought a pack of the finesse worms. Hoping to put them to the test next spring.
  18. Last time I was at Cableas I noticed there were 2 types of Gitzit. Tournament vs regular. Is there really a difference?
  19. Discovering Seaguar Invizx last season was my best "gear" purchase. I am moving all my baitcasters to Seaguar FC next season. My Drop Shot Spinning rod also has 8lb Invizx.
  20. I was in Ohio last week and saw it there. I come home (New York) and it shows up there as well. Just in time too ... because my two tubes I ordered from MegaStrike came in the mail while I was away. LOL.
  21. It was so gross in fact that I can barely remember any other commercial ... I'm still dry heaving over that one. LOL
  22. My avitar shows a pic of a lunker I caught using a #1 EWG and a 3inch Yamamoto. The bass couldn't have been more than 4" long. I can't even imagine that thing jumping on anything bigger than that. LOL
  23. So much for that Pistol offense. It seemed out of sync all night long for the most part. Funny moment yesterday (kind of). At the end of the half with 3 minutes to spare I yelled out at the party that this would be a perfect time for a fake FG. If they make it they are in for a TD most likely. If not their defense would most likely hold with the way they have been playing. Everyone laughed at me until 2 seconds later the fake FG happened and then the Ravens defense held on the next possession. Nothing like good coaching on the couch with a wing in one hand and a ice cold Guiness in the other. LOL. Great game!
