What To Get???
When I have gift cards I try to use the approach of "what would I not want to spend my money on" meaning if you don't see yourself buying a LC or Trokars or something like that, then I look at using a gift card as a way to get something I normally wouldn't buy for myself. Either that, or I use that gift card to purchase a larger ticket item. Then it is like a discount. That's just me though.

Used Boat With "upgrades" (Before/after Pics)
I got them off ebay. The guy has quite a few on there. They are high quality graphics. I gave roughly $36 a piece for them.

I put new wheels on the trailer. Cut the windshield down a bit. Put some floor graphics on. Replaced the TM handle with a T-H marine G-man handle (it is sweet). I put new butt seats and a new rod holder that is retractable and is flush mount with the deck.- Used Boat With "upgrades" (Before/after Pics)
I got it off ebay. It was only like $70- Used Boat With "upgrades" (Before/after Pics)
I can't get photobucket to cooperate.- Used Boat With "upgrades" (Before/after Pics)
Some of you may have read the thread about me buying a used boat. I ended up with a 1996 Stratos 288 VR. It is 18'3" with a 150 Evinrude. It drove great and everything checked out good. It came with HDS 8 and HDS 5 with Structure Scan. I was able to get it at a price I was comfortable with. As with anything, there were some "upgrades" that I wanted to make. First were the seats Then the steering wheel Foot pedal recessed tray I will add others later when I get pics uploaded.- Culling Techniques
3oz difference on 5 fish is almost a pound. I doubt most people could tell a 2.11 from a 2.14 on a quick glance. I sure would hate to lose by a few oz and then have to wonder if I would have took a couple extra seconds to make sure I am weighing in my heaviest fish that I may have won. That's just me though.- Culling Techniques
Here is my rig I came up with- Brain Teaser
You can't count the dollar you gave yourself because it should have went to one of them because you didn't put any money in originally. Mom gets $2 Dad gets $1. So now you owe Mom $48 and Dad $49. $48 + $49 = $97 plus the $3 you already gave back = $100- Culling Techniques
I use a digital scale and a colored rope style culling system. I put a dry erase board into the hole where my factory fish finder was (I will attach a pic when I get home) Then I weigh a fish and put a tag in it, color doesn't matter as long as I write the weight in the correct spot on the board. If I catch a fish that will cull, I just look at the board and know which color to grab and replace that fish and write the new weight on the board.- The Dream Team Documentary
BTW, half was an exaggeration. But many of the best played during the 90's when Jordan was the best player in the league.- The Dream Team Documentary
Are you kidding me? Wow! Half of the 50 greatest players were in their prime when Jordan dominated the game. I don't know what world you are living in, but I don't think they have the NBA there.- Northstar Flip & Swim
Needed to place an order with TW today so I went ahead and put some of the Swim Jigs in the cart.- Is This A Good Deal?
What does he want for it? $1,000 or $10,000 is a big difference.- Which Rods?
Shimano Compre rods in the following. From your last sentence I am not sure how many spinning rods vs casting rods you are talking about. 7'2" MH - t-rigs 7'2 H - jigs 6'10" - MH reaction for spinnerbaits/topwater 7' M or MH Crankbait for cranks- Buying My 1St Bass Boat. Electronics Upgrade. Any Suggestions?
I assume you have already found the boat you want? I just bought a boat and really waited till I found one with the electronics I wanted. I found a boat with a Lowrance HDS 8 on the console linked with a HDS 5 at the bow with structure scan. This saved me in the long run from buying a boat and having to upgrade the electronics.- The Dream Team Documentary
I suppose when you are the best player to ever play a sport, you get to call the shots. Nothing wrong with MJ not wanting to play with someone he thought was a dirty player (which Isaiah was)- Sickest Half Ton Truck Ever :)
Fender Flares are kind of goofy looking. I **** the all solid look after a truck has been de-badged and had all the moldings taken off. I have only had rubbing issues on a couple of occasions on real bad angles while in full lock. It is a 5" RCX lift with BIlsteins adjusted 1" up for a total of 6". Running 305/55/20 (33x13) I had black nerf bars on it, but I also didn't like the way they looked as soon as my Son was old enough to climb in by his self, I took them off.- Sickest Half Ton Truck Ever :)
I'm pretty happy with my "real" half ton that I actually drive.- Show your ride...
1996 Stratos 288 when I brought it home on Saturday Got some things I want to do and I will update with pics.- Boat Buying Decision Help *bought One!!!
Thanks. I have already bought new seats to put in. That will be done this weekend. Then I plan on installing a recessed foot tray and putting on some decals. I am from the Ada area.- Boat Buying Decision Help *bought One!!!
I ended up getting the 96 288. Updated my OP. Was able to talk him down a little. Got some things I want to do to it, but it will work for now.- Looking For A Little Advice On Not Getting Payed By My Employer.
DO NOT get an attorney involved. Unless we are talking $10k or something, you would not benefit anything from taking this to court. This will be public record from now on and any future employer will want to know why you filed suit against this guy. They will probably ask you and probably contact him to find out the circumstances surrounding the suit. Most employers don't want to take a chance on hiring someone that has already tried to take a previous employer to court. This is especially true if this is one of your first jobs and you haven't been working with him for years and years.- Looking For A Little Advice On Not Getting Payed By My Employer.
I have ran into a similiar situation. If he isn't paying workmens comp on you, then he could be paying you as a sub contractor. Therefore, you are not tecnically an employee of his, you would be self employeed. He could also be paying you day labor or weekley labor, this too can walk a fine line of what constitutes an employee. I would chalk it up as a loss and move on. - Used Boat With "upgrades" (Before/after Pics)
