Normally takes 2 to 2 and a half hours to do the yard work. With all the rain and storms we have had here lately I had my work cut out for me today. Between hauling limbs off, mowing the yard (basically twice) and weed eating, I spent about 8 hours in the yard today. Once again though, I love the result.

Doesn't punching refer more to the weight used and the cover fished as opposed to the technique getting it there? Maybe I don't understand though. You can flip or pitch a 3/16 oz weight but you aren't punching anything with that weight. Put a 1.5 oz weight on there and flip it or pitch it into the nasty stuff and you are punching it through there. Am I missing something?

Wow! I cannot believe the Sooners find a way into the CWS. They had a rough start to the season but really started putting it together at the end. They made a good run through the Big 12 tourney and managed to beat a good VT team at home to make it back to Omaha for the first time since 2010. Not sure they have much of a chance but if their arms perform as well as they have as of late, they may surprise some people. No school has ever won the WCWS and the CWS in the same year. Probably won't happen, but would be nice to see. On a side note, the Vols really disappointed. I had them as a lock to make it to the CWS championship but the Irish surprised them.

Take this with a grain of salt if you wish. I'm 42 years old and I haven't spoken to my dad in almost 4 years. All because of something he saw on Facebook that was a total misunderstanding. He thought I made dinner for my step father on fathers day in 2018 because of a post my mom made about having dinner at my house. I had no idea until about 6 months later when I got a letter in the mail saying I was out of his will and he didn't care if we ever talked again. We live less than 2 miles apart and haven't spoke since. We haven't had the best relationship over the years, but this was the last straw for me. I might regret it years from now, but I feel like I am doing what is best for me. He is a pretty self centered person who can be very demeaning, not anymore though. I didn't think I would ever post about this publicly, but it might be something you think about. He could care less about me because of something so stupid and trivial.

Pretty heavy rod and pretty light line to be slinging 1/2 oz lures. I prefer casting setups for anything above about 3/16 oz, but I don't do a lot of finesse fishing so that's just what I am accustomed to.

I say it every time a post is made about the military and how I thank each one of them everyday and not just on certain days. But in my mind, this date had to be one of the biggest, most important dates in our militaries history. I simply cannot imagine what some of those guys went through. I have been watching a reunion where they took 8 men still living back to the beach and to see their reactions just blew me away. Far and away the greatest generation and unfortunately we are losing them quickly.

I don't always foul hook fish, but when I do it's usually about a 7 or 8 lb catfish that is hooked in the side or the tail and I'm sure I have a double digit everytime. I have even foul hooked a snapping turtle in the foot before and that was an adventure.

I'm not very smart, but I think foul hooked and snagged are also different.

I keep 2 milk crates in the back of my truck and I walk around the ramp/dock area and pickup trash and dump it in the dumpster every time I go out. One day a guy asked me if I worked at the lake, I told him nope, I just care about it and want it to look nice. He said he wished more people cared as much as I did, I told him, so did I, then I wouldn't have to pick up other people's trash.

I can't see the link, but since it is apparently about Dottie, then nope. Mac didn't pursue the record because he knew it was caught outside the mouth. Would they have accepted it? Maybe, maybe not. But since he didn't even try, no record in my book.

I would think pitching to the motorized scooters would eventually land you a big one, maybe even a giant.

I don't know any of you personally so I'm not necessarily saying I love you, but if you need to hear it, then so be it. I think we as a society get so caught up in being tough that we don't say it enough. My very best friend (the greatest friend I could ask for) came by today and I could tell something was wrong with him. I never asked what was wrong, but I could tell there was something going on. When he left my house I told him, "Hey man, I love you and appreciate you". I just hope he knows how much I care about him. Let those you love know it!

I may or may not have had pants on either.

15 years later, here we are. Close to the world record. I would have snapped a pic. LOL I would just tell everyone you caught a world record anyway.

I bet I have looked dead before back when I was in my early 20's. But I was most certainly just resting.

Gas, and it wasn't on sale. Actually went up 20 cents a gallon from the last time I filled up. Could have bought 5 110's though.

As you can tell my animals are super active. Rodi, the dog and Ron, the cat are the most spoiled animals I have ever had.
