  1. Example would be Seagar sells blue label mainline and blue label leader material. Is there anything special about lines labeled as leader material is a better way to word my question
  2. No mono or flouro sold as leader vs mono or flouro you'd use as mainline
  3. Is there any difference between fluorocarbon/mono labeled as leader vs mainline fluorocarbon/mono?
  4. I did this also. Send it to dvt you will not regret it.
  5. Lol I knew it'd head in that direction sooner or later. Here's the article it came from http://www.***.com/10-worm-fishing-secrets-you-may-not-know/
  6. I came across this term reading a blog and the author didn't go into detail. The context was, when targeting suspended bass angler will stroke a Texas rig. What is meant by the term stroke?
  7. Finished up my crate http://imgur.com/a/ggJO6#4WIBUUr How do you guys think she looks? I am about to take her out now to see how I like the position the rods are in for casting. The only things I'd like to add are a fishfinder (got a line on a lowerance elite 4) and maybe a scotty baitcast rod holder for the slide tracks. I also saw this http://i.imgur.com/yBgMwnp.jpg?1 and was thinking a bucket might be cool for bucktails when I'm out in the salt and want to scale down on what I carry. Also, wanted to get some thoughts on anchor or stake out poles. Thanks
  8. I own a 115 ride and I'm liking it. It's a really wide boat which I thought would make it a very slow boat. It won't win any races but is by no means slow. I haven't had any really problems out in the wind w it either. Seems to track pretty nice too. Honestly I'd take b@sscrzy's advice and go fish out of a few or at least paddle some before you buy.
  9. Rebel top-r
  10. I've always just thrown chunks of cutbait when fishing for stripers for the surf and jetty. This year I want to move away from bait but I am not sure what plugs to add and colors weights etc. Bucktails are the most versatile I've been told but I'm not quite proficient at them yet. I fish the coast of NJ from lbi down to the Cape and bay. Can anyone give me some ideas of what to throw and also how your technique changes in the fall run vs the spring? Thanks
  11. Maybe not hammerhead but there are some big sharks inshore on the NE coast. There's a site that tracks tagged whites and they come in quite close

  13. You can probably use that set up for a number of different presentations. Some people prefer moderate action for baits with treble hooks but honestly it's all a matter of preference and using what works for you. Good luck
  14. fluke. Bucktail and gulp Penny 3" shrimp or chart swimming mullet. Drop it straight, cast it, whatever. As long as it's on the bottom bouncing you'll get them. Floro leader helps. Good luck
  15. I just bought a lews speed spool new off amazon for $85. Decent deal I think
  16. Same thing just happened to me. Falcon bucoo bsm-7 $24 dollars after tax. I'm not sure what to use it for.
  17. Is the sale in store only bc I can't seem to find that price online

  19. Chatterbait. What is the secret w these things
  20. Thank. I grabbed a Premier Crank glass rod off craigslist a month ago. The mojo cranks are composite though correct?
  21. Is it going to be tough for someone new to cranks to learn with a glass rod?
  22. He had 2. If he ever gets back to me I'll let you know
  23. Says 100% mech but no way to tell until it's in my hands and my money is in theirs
