  1. I went out today and caught one small bass while my friend managed a 3lber and some smaller ones. I still don't know what's up. I did however slow down my fishing style and I felt quite a few more bites, just missing the hook sets. Hopefully this big warm up will get them biting, tomorrow will be a nice sight fishing day as well.
  2. I live in Southern New Hampshire and usually at this time of the year I am on fire. However as of late I can't seem to buy a bite. Whenever I get out I seem to only get one or two fish yet the people I fish with will double my limit. I throw exactly what others are throwing and usually I get nothing.Could someone give me advice, is it just a curse?
  3. All that in a steady downpour! It was a d**n good day of fishing for all 3 of us.
  4. Just my two sense on the whole trout fishing. Purgatory is alright fishing, the falls are nice as well as fishing above them . Also try the hole on the main road near purgatory. It's right near the 4 corners at the farm, near a condo apartment thing. Also the Nissitissit is fishing well right now as well as Wittamore Lake in Greenfield near Sunset Lake. Sorry to derail thread with trout talk. Back to Bass. Hit Potanapo on Wednesday and misses some bass and caught 3 or 4 crappie ranging from 10 - 14 inches. Hit Melendy and Sunset Lake Yesterday and got skunked but my friend caught 2 2lbers and a couple pickerel as well as a 1lber. Also NeJitterbugger and I went out today off shore at a pond in Amherst, tons of strikes and misses. Sadly no fish for either of us. The shore access is pretty awful so I don't blame our technique.
  5. Went out for the first time of the year with my father for a few casts. We hit a local small pond, I mean really small like less than a half acre. Anyways my dad put on an excalibur blue and yellow lipless crankbait that I had taken the back hook off and replaced with a small willow blade. Second cast he nailed a good 14inch pickerel. Spring is coming, I'm heading out this weekend and within a month it should be really heated up!
