  1. I disagree about it being a measure of a mans character, everyone has moments of weaknesses. And if it wasnt for people breaking the law we would still being paying taxes to England.
  2. I would totally tackle her when she had her back turned.
  3. These threads are always fun before halloween. Video tape it!
  4. 6lb test should be sufficient for most bass when your drag is set correctly. The fact that you are not wetting the line and pulling a fish out of water by the line is the issue. What knot are you using?
  5. How many times have you changed your line out this year?
  6. If your knot is up to par i dont see why it would fail.
  7. Like everything its just a confidence issue as of now. The first time i took my baitcaster out i quit using it after 15 minutes and went back to my spinning setup. Once you get the first fish with it youll like it a lot more. In the beginning i recommend only throwing heavier lures. cast around in your backyard to get comfortable. Then once you are confident you can catch fish with it, start working on lighter stuff and what settings work best.
  8. As I first started typing this out, i was going to say i would risk it if for only a half hour or hour. But as i thought more and more its too big of a risk. Here in indiana they can impound your vehicle ,and take all your equipment. Not to mention the fines involved. Just doesnt make much sense to risk all that for an hour.
  9. was that a bite? nope just some weeds. THAT WAS A BITE (followed by extreme hook set pulling bait out of the water and flying at my face at mach speed.) nope that wasnt a bite...
  10. The only time you are not in danger on a bike is when its parked in your garage. I was 10 when I got my first dirtbike and when I turned 16 I started riding sportbikes . I consider myself a fairly decent rider, but im no valentino rossi. I know at least 5 people who have been killed on bikes. And too many more that have gotten seriously hurt. The thing that cost most of them was the attitude that they werent in any danger. You can never account for bike malfunctions, pot holes, animals, cars or any other number of things that can ruin your day. edit: If you ride a harley you could still be in danger with it in the garage, it could catch fire........
  11. This is one of the smartest things i've read in this thread. This was when gameday came and setup in front of touchdown jesus (which is a library)
  12. I would also say i disagree with what he said, but then again im not making movies.
  13. Sharp teeth means they feed off worms and small fish. No teeth means they grind their teeth on craws, or other tough stuff. Or so I believe
  14. Fishing for me is all about enjoyment. Taking a single bait out sounds like a great way to ruin a day, simply because fish dont always want what you're throwing. I build confidence in ponds that are easy to catch fish in. If I know there is fish, I can get confident throwing new lures.
  15. You sooners fans travel well. You guys should send Tommy a complimentary jersey for that outstanding performance Saturday.
  16. I hate this new wild card system. There should be one wild card team per league. A one game playoff is a fluke. Any team in baseball can get lucky and win one game. At least make it a 3 game series.
  17. Ive never tried it but wouldnt the bait work its way back to shore? Not to mention give off vibrations spooking fish?
  18. If im seeing where they are turning away, ill speed up my retrieve. I want them to not have the chance to think about it, i want all reaction. Thats what has worked with me recently .

For fishing get the polarized lenses.
  20. Ill have to check some of these out
  21. Ya pretty easy to spot that sign is a photoshop, the wording is wrong for indiana as well. We have licenses not permits.
  22. Anyone got any good recommendations? Not movies or books that teach you anything but stories. Something like grumpy old men, the river why, maybe even jaws (saltwater fishing???).
  23. I agree that in a lot of situations killing people with kidness is a good thing. Although if someone acts like a jerk while fishing, and youre nice about it then they would think that behavior is acceptable.
