  1. Looks like they are up on DSG's website. I bet the price would go up if they use gama hooks.
  2. Has anyone tried these yet? The website says 2014 release, but my local Dicks just put an endcap out full of them. The action on the topwater is crazy. I have to slow it down. The bait really moves with minimum effort. http://www.baits.com/?p=46
  3. I"m a little more north than you, but the soft baits are getting hit hard. My buddy that I'm teaching has hooked more fish than me in the past few weeks on wacky style.
  4. That gotta sting a little. Look at it this way, you'll have more of a reason to bond with the young one.
  5. I've been to 4 different dicks here and they all have been great. I actually just exchanged my mojo for a crucial and I got my mojo crazy cheap. I returned my rod plus warranty I purchased with the mojo. I had a 20% off that brought the mojo down to $128. After using my score card rewards, I exchanged the rods at no addition costs. Love the store, althought the closet one to me is the least stocked. The better stocked one just got a shipment of GYCB hard baits. Picked up a few and used the coupon as well.
  6. I had my mine set on a rage last week. I love both of my mojos. After looking at it in the store, I really wasn't impressed with the handle. I would have pulled the trigger if it was cork. The handle just felt cheap IMO. Picked up a crucial and love it.
  7. Wow. Loaded questions. I own 5. Usually I know where I'm planning to fish. I take two rods on most occasions. Today I fished a new area and took 3. All differeent styles. 1 BC and 2 spinning.
  8. Hahaha... i completely agree. I'll go out in the morning and just about i'm getting ready to leave, my brain screams "evening bite is about to begin".
  9. I haven't been able to catch anything of substanial size... this thread is jinxing me. hahahaha
  10. I haven't tried the Shim-E sticks, but have a few packs. I'm tried Robos, Yum Dingers and Spankys.... all have had the same success as Senkos.
  11. Sweet price on the veritas. What store was this?
  12. Yeah i'm having the same issues with my hula popper.... it's fun as hell trying to get them to bite though
  13. Woke up early, drove 50 miles to a reservoir, got skunked..... yeah it's annoying now. I had one on my second cast, but played around with the fish to tire it out.... ended up going airborne and got off the hook. Blah!
  14. The tempura is fried usually. Good beginners intro to sushi. I do the soft shell crab tempura when I'm stuck in a sushi restaurant.
  15. For that price, it's not bad test it. I deal with Chinese knock offs all day long being in construction. If you want to be successful with this idea, keep in mind that these knock offs are meant to duplicate another brand. Make sure the brand they are duplicating are also made in china. More than likely you are getting the same parts.
  16. Starting from scratch is tough on the wallet.... but don't buy cheap, you'll end up buying it twice.
  17. Hahahaha. That was hilarious. I use tooth paste as well.
  18. Very nice... Looks expensive.
  19. Just dont let in those florida guys... their average down there is 12 pounds.. haha
  20. <---------- Noob Thanks guys
  21. Not sure if this is the correct place for this question. To the mods, have you guys ever implemented a seller rating system on here? I thought it would be a great idea to help some of these sellers out that have low post counts. There are many forums i'm on that I have low post count, but 20+ transactions. Additionally, this benefits the honest sellers that have been earning that reputation with all the sales. Plus they can usually get a few more bucks over a new seller, which is well deserved. Post counts usually don't equate to honesty, in my opinion. I know of 3 or 4 guys right off that bat that I would send money as gift via PP to save the fees we would normally accumulate. Just a thought. Did a search and didn't find anything on this topic yet. Thanks
  22. Welcome back. Try using Google maps. This is how i find most of my spots. The BHR and Houghton is out fished.... I saw people fishing for keepers the three times i went. Always get a funny look when I throw them back.
  23. I'll put some time in.... can you post as much as you want and just select the top 5 at the end of the month? If not, most people probably wont post until the last day.
  24. I'm not talking about the fish we catch, i'm talking about fish in general. My friend was busting my chops the other day saying i'm the only fisherman in the world that don't eat fish. Being new to fishing, I've spent a substantial amount of money trying to get a decent tackle box together and getting decent gear. Went from 0 rods to 5 rods in 4 months.... had the bug. It definitely doesn't make sense to people that don't fish getting that much gear and not bring fish home. I'd have to say i'm the minority, but i'm curious. Thank god my girlfriend doesn't eat fish either, i'd never hear the end of it. haha
  25. at least a second rod... fishing one style gets old quick.
