Storing Plastic Lures
Storing the baits in their original bag is the best way to go for the bait, but not necessarily the best for the bank fisherman. They end up taking up a lot of room after you get 30 bags or so. I ended up getting a $10 worm binder by spiderwire at Walmart. I can put my favorite plastics in there and I hooked the binder to my tacklebag using a couple of carabiners. I still leave the worms in their original bags, and then drop those in the zip lock bags that come with the binder. That way when the original zipper on the worm bag breaks as it always does, they're still sealed in the worm binder bag. Also I leave one of the worm binder bags empty for my used plastics. After I get a few in there I'll refresh them with some Yum spray scent or some veg oil with garlic and salt mixed in. Wish I could figure out a way to liquefy megastrike! LC

Best Knot For Braid To Fluoro Leader
Chalk me up as another Alberto knot user. I started with the uni to uni, but found the Alberto a lot easier to tie and remember. LC

Siebert Outdoors
Mike, you got any plans for some buzz baits in the future? Your skirts on a nice buzz bait frame would be amazing! LC

Siebert Outdoors
Got my order today, after a scheduled delivery yesterday due to a snafu at the post office, NO fault of Mike as the box is addressed perfectly. I contacted mike and he was very helpful and understanding, and kept in contact the whole time, even emailed me today and asked if I had been by the post office yet. GREAT products and outstanding customer service. I work in customer service and help train new hires. THIS is how you handle customers and provide great service. I see the need for a new tackle box or storage solution in my future! LC

Home Made Economical Rod Racks
never seen these till now. The Berkley combo model looks quite nice for $13. May go that route. LC

Home Made Economical Rod Racks
that's pretty slick. What holds the other end and how far away is it? The same design? I'm not sure if I want to have them horizontal or vertical. LC

Home Made Economical Rod Racks
Would love to see some of your home made storage solutions for keeping your rods safe at home. I'm kicking around ideas to get my rods out of the corner and not leaning up against the wall. Not sure if I wanna go all out and build a wood rack, or throw something together with some sections of PVC pipe. So, what you guys doing for home storage? LC

Which Seaguar Is Best Leader?
Lots of good info for me to read up on. Thanks folks. Never considered the tatsu as it seems expensive for leader. LC

Favorite Soft Plastics?!

Which Seaguar Is Best Leader?
Currently using Berkley vanish for leader material. After reading all the horror stories about it here and elsewhere, I'm gonna make a switch. Have read lots of good stuff about seaguar invisx and red label, but which would make a better leader for finesse presentations tied to 15# yellow power pro? Plan on using 8# for leader. If I were to decide to fill a spool with one of them, which would be the better option with less memory and problems? Is one more sensitive than the other? LC

Please Help Id This Frog Or Toad ?
Of all the animals that people tell you taste like chicken, I've found that frog legs truly do taste pretty much just like chicken. They're usually a little bit more greasy, and the texture is slightly flakey, almost like fish, but not quite. They are quite yummy. I do suggest trying them if you have the opportunity. LC

What Is Your Go-To Lure/tackle?
I had an old Pop-R that I used to call old faithful, but lately Ive been really liking catching fish on soft plastics. I'll always throw a spinnerbait everytime I go out, in one or more colors, but usually black n blue. LC

Planning Setups - Need Input
In fishing with my current finnesse setup which isnt that great, I noticed just how bad the slack line sensitivity is with straighr braid. Hoping the high vis yellow will make a difference, however im sort of thinking of going straight fluoro. What is a good fluoro line that will work well on a spinning reel (casting ease, low memory) for a finesse setup if I go that route? Also considering making the rod to go with the tourney pro a heavy action since I already have a MH 7' rod with my current MG. Would that change my chosen presentations for the 7:1 tourney pro above? Angler Etiquette
Ive thought about one of those, but have read that they dont work for bank fishing since you cant get on top of the lure. LC

Angler Etiquette
I figured most here would give it back. I would too if the person that lost it was still there. Ive reeled in other lures before myself, and kept them, but not the same one I just watched someone lose. I wasnt about to fight over it. I know better and like I said, it wasnt worth it over a $7 lure. It was just the principle of the matter that ticked me off. Yes he seen me lose the lure. Common courtesy I expect would have been to say "hey you want that lure back you just lost" instead of the immature "its mine now" comment. I got hung up on a buzz bait because on that cast I had a backlash, so while I was picking that out, the lure sunk. I had cast right over a tree in the water that I catch most of my bass around. Of course, I got snagged somewhere down there when the buzz bait sunk. LC

Angler Etiquette
So, youre watching a guy fish, see him get hung up, try to get unsnagged and ends up snapping his line. Then later you cast and reel the guys lure in, and hes still there. Do you give him his lure back? I ask because this happened to me today. Got my good black n blue buzz bait hung underwater. Did everything I could to unsnag before I wrapped the 30# braid around my glove and started pulling to straighten the hook and the line snapped. These guys are fishing down the bank, and reel my buzz bait in. One reeling turns to his buddy "Hey want a new lure?". I called out and said hey that's my buzz bait. They turn their backs and say "its mine now" and chuckle. I was fuming, but decided a $7 buzz bait wasnt worth it and packed up and left. So, do you guys play finders keepers, or would you give the lure back? LC

Lews Tournament Mg.. Another Problem
Ive not had any similar issues with my lews mg either. no slop or play. agree with others, check the spool tension knob and make sure the drag isnt all the way off, and check your handle screws. And since SEC football has been brought up, GO GATORS! LC

Who's Your All Time Favorite Guitarist Of Your Generation?
My generation? Im not sure. I was born in 83, but grew up with classic rock. All time fav without a doubt is David Gilmour. Theres no touching him. Not a shredder by any means, but if you want to FEEL the music, listen to Gilmour. Close behind him for me has to be Clapton and SRV. One of todays great guitarists, and dont laugh, is John Mayer. He might be an uber DB, but if you look past all that, and dont listen to the words and just listen to the guitar, the man has got soul. LC

So I Got My Knife Sharpened Today......
BAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA! Sorry....I just busted out laughing when I scrolled down to the second pic. Im not laughing at you or your misfortune, im laughing at what had to be going through that guys mind. "man, what has this guy been doing with his knife to get all these "nicks" in the blade?" That actually looks salvageable if you find the right serated sharpener. you can bring them back to a nice edge. I mean, if the knife isnt sentimental or anything, id definitely be asking the manager to replace it, but if it means something to carry THAT knife, from the pic, it looks fixable. What model kershaw is that by the way? i carried a chive for years before the tip broke. I do like kershaws. It looks similar to my tanto blur without the tanto tip. LC

Question About Lew's Reels
I do lightly most of the time, but it depends on how hard im trying to whip the bait out there too. Im still learning and experimenting with the baitcaster. This weekend was my first weekend where I didnt backlash every 10 or so casts. I actually had more trouble with wind knots out of my spinning reel with braid than I did the baitcaster. LC

Question About Lew's Reels
yeah, everybody is definitely different. I keep my mg brakes on between 1-2. was throwing 1/2 oz spinners, koppers 55 frog, kvd sxy frog, rattlin rap, terminator tandem buzz with a craw chunk trailer, and a 1/4 oz texas rig this weekend and only had one backlash that was my fault. The only time my brakes have been higher was with a 3/4 oz spinnerbait. I think it has more to do with experience, and like dvt said, rod and conditions. LC
