Nighttime chatter
Black and blue with GP bighammer ringhammer boottail. Thing is durable. Caught 14 all night. They were hammering it HARD all the way to the side of the kayak. Had another 4 or 5 pounder swipe at surface about 5 feet from yak. Unfortunately I had 2 rods one fast and one xfast and i missed a lot of fish. I had to stop reeling and let them eat and swing into them to hook up. Its a totally different hokset from regular chatterbaits or swimjigs. Maybe if I had my modfast rod I wouldnt need to set the hook so hard as they would get a chance to chew on it.

Nighttime chatter
Spent my evening and night till 4 am cruising the outside edge of a large lily pad pond. Tried my toads early on with limited success. Once night fell and moon came out I started nailing them with the freedom chatterbait. Very awesome bait and does extremely well getting through peripheral lily pads. At midnight I caught this... 6.10 lb Ive no question that chatterbaits are one of the best night lures ever. Two of my biggest fish have come from them.

Favorite Type Of Fluke
D shad for me. They have higher salt content allowing them to sink faster and fished deeper. Anyone used the gambler stud?

toads at night
Ive got a night tourny coming up and was wondering who all fishes toads at night? There is no vegetation on lake but I figure this will work well especially as alternative to everyone possibly throwing buzzbaits

Best Braided Line?
Braids vary a lot There are 4 carrier, 8 carrier, 12+ There are special coatings and no special coatings Various diameters and their abilities to hold color varies. I like seaguar smackdown but its expensive. Daiwa jbraid is very nice and thin at good price. I want to try sunline bx2 as I do not like their fx2 or sx1

Fishing heavy algae pond
Switch to a soft plastic toad. Itll sit on top and the hook up percentage is greater. Trust me if the bass want the meal youre offering they are more than capable of getting it through vegetation. Ive caught them through thiiiick duckweed mixed with milfoil. You may want to consider speeding up your retrieve significantly which can cause a bass to explode on it out of pure reaction. If you go slow they may only be tempted to take a swipe at it.

You Don't Need Money To Catch Bass
Its like hunting. You can kill a deer with a 700 year old long bow. Its about putting yourself in position to do so.

FLW BASS & Bassmaster Magazines No Longer Sold ?
Bass and flw are sold in select stores...almost all wont carry them out of season and only a few carry through season. My town has 3 krogers groceries. Only the white trash one carries the flw mag in season. Its truly not profitable to these stores

Shoulder pains
My thought is what boat? If youre lifting a jon boat or similar then there is the problem. Most likely need to improve your lats and shoulder strength.

Braid wrapping around guides
Smaller guides and just being careful to not have slack when lure leaves water. Just a part of life...

Culprit Incredi Frog vs. Strike King Rage Toad
I find the rage toad to be very heavy and tough and bass dont commit as hard. I prefer the gambler cane toad. Makes as much if not more noise on water...and is softer (and cheaper) and i find the bass will try to swallow the cane toad while they lip the rage toad. Cane toad skips better too

phenix recon2 766
Just got my phenix recon2 7'6" heavy fast action in today. Cannot wait to use it! Very clean, sleek, and lightweight for a broomstick. Love the macro guides which should cut down on line wrap when punching. Will be using it for punching and swimbaits.

glide baits
Swaver is capable of turning 180 left and right on the pause. Give it one fast handle rotation and let it sit. Itll turn sideways and trigger the bass

Tried out my new Cronos today

punch/swimbait rod
I broke about an inch and a half off my Daiwa s 7'4" frogging rod Saturday and now need a replacement. I use it for punching as well as swimbaits wakebaits between 1 and 2 oz...although Id like to buy a 4oz duo onimasu swimbait. Looking at Daiwa Tatula 7'4" frog rod Phenix recon 2 Irod genesis 2 Suggestions? I like daiwa but have always wanted to try phenix or irod since I always hear good things.

Drop Shot Retrieve?
Cast out and let sit For 10 seconds or so. Slow drag until you feel an object and experiment with letting it sit and shaking it. Thats really about it. Somedays you can drag quickly.

What Does Confident Fishing Mean To You
Confident means feeling giddy that I could get a bite on any cast. Love that feeling. How do i get confidence? Listening to music. It gets me out of my head and puts me in a good mood

Feelfree Lure 11.5
I have a lure 11.5 At 600 you are stealing it. Yeah its a bit of a pig to paddle sometimes and doesnt track the best and with a good breeze you will struggle. But its very comfortable and has great storage and ive no problem standing and fishing in it all day to the amazement of anyone nearby.
