Man,ive only caught bass at night with bladed jigs. One being my personal best! Any other time forget about it. I used them today in 40 degree muddy water. Slow rolling them and ticking grass in 8fow. No dice. My swimjig had two hits. I use revenge viberators and they look great and have a screwlock keeper.

You are simply asking too much of a rod to handle almost every technique. A medium heavy fast action with x line will do most of them but none of them to full potential.

Only person to be killed by a gator in decades was this last summer. And he was drunk and was witnessed harassing the gator and telling people he was gonna jump in and wrestle it.... I think youll be alright

Blackdog makes two models of shellcrackers. A larger more expensive wooden shellcracker And a smaller more affordable plastic g2 with a bill. The g2 can be used as a crankbait and ive caught bass smashing them into logs 5 feet under water...an impossibility with the wooden original.

Seaguar is known for having stretch, especially their budget lines. Sunline shooter comes in 25lb and is known for low stretch. Its expensive though. I havent used gliss monotex but that could be an option with thin diameter and no stretch

Damnit, was hoping to hold off on this but now you let cat out of the bag.

7'3" xfast. Length helps with pitching and getting rod in a position to pull fish out of limbs. Xfast makes hooksets easier and transitions into backbne of rod very quickly giving you the stoutness to yank a bass out of laydows. A fast rod or slower may bend too much allowing fish to surge into line snapping timber or docks.

As stated heavy is a power. Simply the lure weight the rod can handle. Some heavy rods are good for cranking deep and some are good for frogging. I have 2 heavy. 1 is a frog rod rated to 1.5 ounce lures. It has extra fast tip which helps punch frog hooks into roof of mouth. I also use it for jigs. The other is rated to 2 ounces and is a fast action. I use it for punching and throwing small swimbaits.

They would need to chip in with food and drinks at least...and not be annoying on the water.

I fish a very small lake but one of the key areas now is a point that comes out by ramp. It has riprap halfway down to about 12 feet. It continues to 25 fow. It also drops off one edge to 25fow. On this point in 18fow is a boulder and rock pile I found with sonar. The spot on the spot per say

Warts are tricky. The new ones are mediocre. The pre rapala warts were also hit and miss. You have to find one with just the right tune and sound. I watched david walker almost puke as he smacked his 20+ year go to wart against his windshield breaking the bill

For baitcasters...i have more success skipping with my xfast rod than my modfast rod. I feel the slower action absorbs too much energy while xfast translates my wrist flick straight to the bait. Other fishermen will have opposite opinion.

You can skip with anything if you get accustomed to it

Alberto Fg knot is a bit of a pain to tie without much improvement over alberto. Been putting hitches at end of alberto to tuck away fc leader so it doesnt catch on guides

Unless you spend over a grand on a system, the dsi image isnt that great. Also you gotta be right over top the object to see it...so if you used 2d sonar you would get a very similar picture of the object. Side imaging is faaaar more useful

A dying fish on lake floor wont move much. There are times in spring when bass have 'attention spans' but dead sticking is more likely to attract a cruising bass after the bait has sat a while. He knows something is different and he is gonna see if its edible. Kind of like walking down the street and finding a dollar on the sidewalk.
