  1. I do sometimes but not loud....except the time this group of three raced in front of my dad and I to get to a sweet spot before us...they caught nothing and moved and we came in behind them and I caught a small one on the first cast. I hooped just to let em know.
  2. braid noise is music to my ears
  3. First you have to feed the spinnerbaits hook your own blood as a sacrifice. Then the fishing gods may smile upon you
  4. I love missile products and I'm pumped to see they just released the shock wave. finally something cheaper than swimsenkos to put on swimjigs
  5. I really want one for my crankbait rod, but need to sell my lews first. Can't justify 2 reel purchases so close together otherwise
  6. so conditions changed and the fish turned on and you found the right pattern. Don't know why you try to overlook your own skill and try to attribute success to luck or chance
  7. I saw a total of one mention on tackle wearhouse* about the t wing being grooved. for 100 bucks I am seriously considering the 6.3 for my crank bait rod
  8. spinning your spool voids your warranty? better not take it to the lake then! my point of view is that I've never had a cast longer than 4 seconds let alone 2 minutes. The difference is the acceleration and torque between a stock and tuned reel. A tuned reel will require less torque and effort to cast and flip. The difference in casting distance would be at best a few feet. flipping on the other hand will improve as you can get a few more feet with much less effort as its a technique that requires the spool to be fast enough to not slow down the baits momentum. As dvt stated, with less effort you can focus on accuracy (ever throw a baseball as hard as you can...very little accuracy) so in my opinion, free spool timing is just another measurement for very modest results. It's not the be all end all.
  9. catching fish from the same hole is just a feeding frenzy. Bass spit plays no role to my knowledgd
  10. Woohoo a nice bonus coming my way. may be able to push 200. any more thoughts at that price? thanks for all the replies guys
  11. I want to try revenge. love their swimjigs and read good reviews of their spinnerbaits
  12. I don't have a favorite but I want to try spro fat John, storm arashi, and r2s biggie smalls creepin
  13. Good article on *** about spinnerbaits comparison. you should check it out.
  14. I saw there is a lower ratio one for 115...I'll keep my eye out. Looking at tackle tour, the daiwa has a stronger drag but less stable (18 pounds) while the Lews Super duty gets 12 pounds before it become a little unstable.
  15. Where are you finding Tatula R @ 115?
  16. As some of you know, I've got a 13 *** H 7'3" for christmas. Right now I have a 7:1 Lexa 100 on it. I want to replace one of my low quality baitcasters in my lineup and I was thinking of moving my lexa to my MH daiwa rod. I was thinking of getting the new *** BC reel in maybe 8:1 speed for the ***. But at $180 it is really pushing my financial limits. Are there any other good options at 150 or less that have a solid drag (lexa starts to go at 7 lbs) and fast speed (7:1 or higher). The *** at 8 to 1 sounds interesting but I don't know how the reel will turn out and what drag it has. I suppose I don't need a super strong drag as I'm usually using 3/4 oz weights to punch a layer of watershield. Thanks for the help.
  17. I don't care for eagle claw stoppers
  18. pop n image
  19. Anyone ever use a push pole? My dad is considering a raider and is thinking of using a push pole to silently make our way through water shield fields instead of paddling.
  20. their new line through soft swimbait looks great, but TW only has in trout pattern. I'll need the baby bass around here
  21. Get 6th sense stoppers from tw. very easy to put on and cheap. No reason to waste time or money on anything other than bobber stoppers (should be called weight stoppers now)
  22. I prefer 4/0 for dbomb
  23. The only problem I have is when people think they are better fisherman or even a better person than others because they can afford a 300$+ lure.
  24. Thanks for the advice fellas
