  1. Lol he must be fishing with alka seltzer hooks
  2. I think it's important to stay fit and healthy period.
  3. I have a lexa100 that is a 7 to 1 reel and I'm thinking of moving it from my 13 *** to my daiwa rod and getting the 13 BC reel in 7 to 1 when it comes out and put it on the ***. Will 7 to 1 lexa be too fast for throwing spinnerbaits, swimjigs? its a mh rod and I'll likely also pitch jigs and trigged plastics.
  4. Is that in USD or local currency?
  5. 6th sense bobber stopper
  6. I got my gama trailer hooks yesterday. neat thing was that they come packaged with clear tubing that you can cut to keep the trailer in place. I just watched a video tip on doing just that last week.
  7. isn't the BB more of a power reel?
  8. It casts well...but the action is lacking as I drag it across the ice.
  9. Some people just love sharing their knowledge and passion with others. I know it's cliche, but it's true. Ike can go for 2 hours because he loves it so much and he wants you to love it to. It's a cult really. I'd have no problem creating power points for fishing techniques when compared to powerpoints about the correlation of foot size to foot diseases.
  10. I heard about dsg having curado on sale so I checked it out last week and saw they were 130. should have asked them if it was on sale but not marked
  11. There is really no info on these rods yet. Going to have to wait until spring when people start using them.
  12. 7' mh with 6.4 ratio reel. I use braid as it allows me to rip through grass easier. I use revenge's bluegill pattern but have caught them on shad too. I want to try their crawdad color sometime
  13. You can literally fish them anyway you want. I do suggest you throw them into thick cover. Also, try to use smaller profile trailers as larger ones can impact skirt flair. I've caught bass with swimjigs by simply reeling them in, reeling them in with quick pops (makes skirt flair), dragging them over thick vegetation like a frog, and hopping them off the bottom like a standard jig. Dare I say it's the most versatile lure available?
  14. I got a new fishing vest for xmas and now I'm wanting some new tackle boxes to go with it. I don't fly fish but use small fly spinners and jerkbaits. What are some new/good tackle boxes out? I have some old copper/tan planos but they aren't very versatile and are heavy.
  15. Well, I'm not keeping the pinnacle finesse. It's bulky, it grinds some, backlashes often, and is flimsy and plastic like. That's why I'm considering changing the setups or buying a new reel for one of the rods.
  16. I can't seem to make payment through alleys. Was really looking forward to ordering some tonight.
  17. Order in, get to work birthday boy.
  18. again... mustad has large keeper that can't move and is extra heavy. stays very sharp and is easy to snell. I do want to try vmc but I'll always keep mustad in my box.
  19. Okay guys, I'd like to hear your advice on my 3 BC setups. rod one is a gen1 abu vendetta 7' medium mf action with a pinnacle finesse reel which is quite unimpressive. I'd like to use this rod for squarebills jerkbait and topwater. rod 2 is 7' mh xf team daiwa t with a Lews Laser MG 6.4 speed. Was thinking spinnerbaits swim jigs and pitching t - rigs and jigs with 16-18# fluoro. rod 3 is 7'3" H xf *** *** with daiwa lexa100 7.1 for punching, frogs, and flipping heavy cover. 65# sunline fx2 braid seems like a no brainer. my question is should I swap any of those reels. what reel should I add to my lineup? any techniques should I consider or reconsider for those rods? I was considering the new *** BC for my *** and moving the lexa to the daiwa rod and Lews to the vendetta. that way both rods have matching reels. but would the 7.1 speed be too fast for rod2? should I leave reels as is and get a new reel for rod1? Thanks in advance for thoughts or jokes.
  20. I'm in. happy bday
  21. denny brauer mustad.
  22. bearing upgrades improve flipping distance and you need less effort
  23. trokars are sharp but not stronger and they don't last. not worth the $ imo. farmer: why don't you like straight? heavy cover straight hooks are thick and have baitkeepers. I've never had a problem with ewg either that I've noticed but it doesn't mean it doesn't have flaws.
  24. true but I'm not spending 4 or 5 dollars more for it.
