  1. Glad you shared that, cause I've never tossed anything red/crawfish pattern, BUT I have been thinking about it after reading so many great reviews!
  2. 🤑🤑🤣🤑🤣😬😬😬🙄😭
  3. Just bought 3 off eBay and ready to start tossing them. I have a canal that is connected to a pump house and it empties into the TN River. After a heavy rain, if the pumps are running, and the water is high...the bass/stripes/catfish move up there and go into a feeding frenzy! Minnows, small swimbaits, shad like shallow-running crankbaits produce well. I have caught close to 40 bass in two hrs on a KVD 1.0 Chartreuse Sexy Shad, making 20-yard casts parallel to the bank with a steady retrieve. They can't stand it!! I hope these Sub Warts can bring similar or greater results! Thanks for the feedback and intro to this lure!
  4. Yep...I gathered that after a search. I like that LV500!
  5. Hey Munkin, Can you post a pic or link to the Kinami Rad shad? I found some old pics of a rattling version. They are RARE indeed!
  6. WOW!! Those Lucky Craft LV500's look CRAZY GREAT!! What's your best colors???
  7. Hey Guys, I've always been a fan of the Original Bill Lewis Rattle Trap and did well with Rapala Rattlin Rapala. Starting amp up for some heavy spring bass fishing. Tell me what is your favorite/most productive lipless crankbait, color, size, and best time of year tossing it.
  8. I see some on Ebay right now...what are the best colors? I see some on Ebay right now...what are the best colors?
  9. KVD 1.0 Chartreuse Sexy Shad & Natural Shad
  10. I did take note of the various suggestions and I am most grateful for sure. I saw this Lews Reel on Fleabay, did some empirical research and decided to pull the trigger. Amid all my chatter and reading a zillion reviews/critiques, my son bought me a H20X Premier...so I have that on deck as well. If either proves problematic or inferior, I'll pass em on and upgrade to something easier. But...I'm betting on my learning curve, practice, and perseverance in this matter too! Quitting & Failure is not an option!🦾 Again...much obliged for all the great feedback!! Reg Ps...I like that tip about changing the reeling approach.
  11. What about this, " LEW'S REACTOR R1SH BAITCASTING REEL" for $54 including shipping??
  12. About to pull the trigger on a new LEW'S REACTOR R1SH for under $55 shipping included. Does anybody have experience with these?
  13. Hey, what about ze KastKing Stealth? I've heard some decent reviews on it...
  14. Been hearing a lot about those!😁
  15. Hey Studs, Looking to add some baitcasting to my arsenal. Always been successful with spinning reels, yet I would like to expand now. My budget is about $120 and my focus is the fewer backlashes--the better!😬 Anything come to mind & what line do you recommend? Thanks in advance, Reg
  16. I've heard many success stories surrounding these dudes for sure! Yes they will. Just been a long time since I tossed any. These will be thawed out from their current "Arctic State", alive and wiggling would be my preference. Probably will have some minnows, crickets, red wigglers along for the ride.
  17. Yes sir, sure are. It looks like the infamous Powderpost Beetle offspring!
  18. Hey Studs! Been a while since I've been on deck, dealing with a host of family health issues & lots of traveling. Nevertheless, looks like some of last yrs firewood that I neglected to burn/split has become a "Grub Factory!" Found these lil fellers snoozing as was putting some logs through my splitter. Got probably over a dozen and counting. I recall in my youth, me & baby bro would fish these beneath a float or tight line off the bottom and the channel cats, drum, and big shell crackers would FLAT wear them out!! Does anybody have any pics and or memories of fishing with "real grubs?" What's a good rig or tips on fishing with grubs...I'm older and rustier!😌🤓
  19. Makes two of us. I ordered 3 last nite based on reviews and so forth. I usually tear em up at the Pumps Houses, Dam, and swift water runoffs with a white or chartreuse Little George. An oldie, but goldie for me!
  20. Hey Guys, Working hard to get out of my comfort zone in 2023. Been reading reading some great reviews on the Quake Slow Sink - 4K Shad lure, yet other than a semi-bass pro bud's advice...very little on the Duckett Real Thing Shad! Anybody with experience or advice on these two lures? Gotta get out this house & offline...I'm doing more mental fishing and ordering lures than actual wetting a line!!?? - Quake Slow Sink 4K Shad Duckett Baits BD Real Thing Shad
  21. Hey There Neighbor! I appreciate that info for sure. I like you way of thinking on the lighter line as well. What name brands do you recommend? BTW...is there a particular paddle tail swimbait you prefer? I'm currently reading about the Keitech craze & productivity!
  22. Hey Guys! Been a second since I've posted here, dealing with travel, covid, and my aging Pops. Just was gifted with a really nice medium size spinning reel 7 ball bearings, a 7ft rod, and a ton of Slim Shady 3inch Paddle Tail jigs...and small flukes. I also inherited a mess of inline spinners, "Rooster Tails/Panther Martin...etc. My go to for yrs on this type set-up has been 10-12lb Trilene XL and it has served me well, yet I am open to new ideas and I'd like to hear some feedback from you guys concerning other options or suggestions. Would braid or fluorocarbon be better? I fish mostly dam tailraces & shallow tainted waters. Thanks in advance & Merry Christmas! Reggie
  23. Recall as a kid of about 9 yrs old. My Mom & Dad took my brother & I fishing in my great uncles "Catfish pond" in early March and 35 degree weather! My Mom & kid brother had enough and scampered towards the house & warmth, my Dad caught 2 catfish, and a chunky 3-4 lb. bass! I landed my 1st fish a 4 lb. catfish! All on chicken liver! My uncle swore it was ONLY filled with cats & turtles...and they ONLY bit in the dead heat of Alabama summer & nightcrawlers?! LOL? #PreciousMemories
