  1. Hmmm...that's a crazy awesome looking worm...how are you moving it and where are you tossing it?
  2. That's true as well. Start slinging it and very soon you will have your own answer...your experience's yea or nay is what going to really matter anyway!
  3. Found this online:The Trigger X Goo Bug is one of the key baits Jacob Wheeler used to secure his 2012 FLW Forrest Wood Cup victory on Lake Lanier, becoming the youngest ever to win the Cup, and taking home $500,000 in prize money.
  4. Thanks Arv...wow out of 88 views you're the only guy with something to share...amazing!! That's a good tip...I'll keep it in mind!
  5. ReggieT replied to MCS's topic in Other Fish Species
Great article...thanks! Whats your best or favorite striper lure?
  6. One of my favorite farm ponds has a very soft & muddy bottom. Would I fare better using the Carolina rig as opposed to the Texas rig? The pond is about 10 ft max. Also what worm would you toss? Thanks Reggie
  7. KVD 1.0 Square-bill crank-bait in Chartreuse Sexy Shad, has been flat wearing them out! I've got more bass on it than all my other crankbaits combined...EVER!
  8. Hope you catch a bunch! I have cast frogs of various sizes for yrs on heavy spinning rod & reel with 12lb -20 lbs Trilene XL ...never had a fish break the line...imagine that! lol But, to each his own...I don't bash bait-casters at all...but it can be done otherwise.
  9. Wow...sounds like a comic skit from the late George Carlin!
  10. Yep, a 2 pounder on a 7 inch Purple GillRaker in about 2 ft of water...1st and last! Got plenty of plastic worms...just don't have plenty of patience!
  11. What kinda water/conditions are you tossing around? Pads, stick-ups, weeds...etc? Have you ever gotten any strikes in open water? Great pics & nice fish...keep em coming!
  12. Oh, yea! I just bought a boo ya pad crasher and wrestled a 3 pounder out of heavy timber and muck...then later that day I lost it to a log!!!! My friends like it better than the Spro frog...
  13. Hey Guys, For the past 30 yrs I've been a die-hard spinning reel guy. I now am ready to add baicasters to my arsenal. How difficult of a transition will this be? I read so many horror stories about "birds-nest, tangled line and the difficulty casting light lure, having to measure out every lure before you toss it"...that it has me tad apprehensive! Yet, the "Man-Beast" within is up for the challenge!!! Share with me your experiences in making the transition. Also what would be a couple of good quality reels that I could purchase to get broken in on (under $100)? Thanks Reggie
  14. Hmm...5 or 6 Pike should help out if the water temps permit...lol
  15. My local tackle shop announced via Facebook...that the Swamp Donkey frog would be in the house, but gave no specific date for it's appearance. Have any of you all heard when its suppose to hit?? I also did a little research and see where the Tackle Shop.com is taking pre-orders for them for $8.99 each and has 9 colors to choose from.. My guys are going to sell them for $10.95 plus tax....so I may pre-order a few online, contingent on some "up-to-date reviews!" Question: How many of you guys have used this frog? What has been your experience with them? The reviews I've read, 95% have been off the chart positive! I'm starting to really lose it with this frog fishing stuff...I gotta settle down! lol Thanks Guys, Reggie
  16. Brother...thanks a million! I have been wearing out my search engine trying to look up much of what you just stated in a few words!!! I will be contacting you shortly... Bless Ya! Reg
  17. Thanks for the info...just now read this...wish I read it this morning! I endured a thorough thrashing today....NOT A BITE! Good news...no lost lures & left there an caught 4 small large-mouths on some back-waters.. Wife called....fishing trip...over. Other than that...a pretty awesome day! Awesome day regardless!! lol
  18. This could be ANY INFO ON DAM FISHING. Headed out @ 4:30 am for some early morning action for stripes at Wheeler dam. This water is violent and fast.. I broke a "not so heavy duty" spinning rod a week ago and lost about 5-6 good Rooster-tails and mix of other lures to the current and rocks! Share with me some good lures, baits and strategies for "bank fishing" this dam...I'm kinda new to dam fishing and all I've heard so far is to fish the "little pools"... How the heck do I distinguish ze little pools? I have a good selection 1/2-1 oz Bucktail jigs in White & Chartreuse, 4 in curly tail jigs, and some Chrome shallow-medium running crank baits...a friend of mine has been tossing baby bluegills about 4-5 inches long and just murdering the stripes and Flathead catfish! Thanks Reggie
  19. WPS??? There are multiple renderings for that 3 letter offering...I'm not trying to like something and not be certain what you mean???
  20. Man...that's what I'm talking about! Excellent information that makes great sense and is easy to translate into application. My local Tackle shop has a few for $11.00....heading out the door now...later!!!
  21. Yeah...no doubt...obviously they're mighty proud of little Rico! lol Thanks again
  22. Thanks! By the way, who have you found that has the Zell Pops at the best price?
