  1. Ive always had good luck with Dual Pro on board chargers.
  2. Gulfcaptain is right, save your money and then buy a quality rain suit, you won't be sorry. I don't fish in the rain a lot but when I do Im always thankful that I spent the bucks and bought well.
  3. Don't see a way to get that info onto this site from Facebook. Took a photo of it off FB, maybe I can download it to here somehow. Im new to computers so Im still learning how to do a lot of this stuff.
  4. Went fishing on a cool fall day with a buddy. It started out OK and then the rain came, a steady, straight down drizzle that never quit. Hey, no prblem, we both had rainsuits! Only mine was a one piece job that had never been out of it's package and was several years old. I guess time & heat are not good friends with taped seams. It leaked. Profusely. I became a human wick. Every stitch of clothing I had on was soaked down to my(no rain booties) socks. By the time we packed it in my lips and most of my face was blue and I was shivering uncontrollably. It was one of the longest drives home ever. Oh, yea, the fishing was lousy to.
  5. Just saw a Facebook post w/pic of a walleye caught in Lk. Erie in 27' of water, 41'' long & a not yet official weight of between 20 & 22 lbs. Hope it's not a hoax, it's a beautiful fish!
  6. It was entertaining the first season, after that I didn't care if the zombies killed and ate the whole darn cast. Everyone was just getting annoying. Now it's the same with Helix. Almost makes you long for the good ol' days of the Alien and Predator.
  7. Iv'e seen vidio of a good size bass inhaling a mouthful of crankbait and blowing it out as fast as you can blink.
  8. Invest in a good pair of chest waders, thats what I did before I bought a boat. They had a nice big pocket on the front inside and I could fit a Plano box in it with all I needed. I tried fishing from the bank for awhile untill I realized there were a lot of places I could fish in the water that I couldn't get to from the shore. Anyway, I just sort of liked being out in the water while I fished. Good luck!
  9. It's like Christmas morning on the end of your line. I fish for musky because I evidently like being punished.
  10. I don't think there is a lake in my area that does not have pike so I use a 6'' steel leader on most all my CB's. Bass don't seem to mind and I don't loose $$ lures to pike.
  11. My WM had Quantum Kinetics clearanced out at $60. a pop.
  12. Five BC and three SP in the boat all the time.I once had a guy on shore watching me take all my rods out of the rod locker and he said,'' Wow, how many rods do you need?'' I replied,'' As many as it takes''.
  13. You'll know you made it into the big leagues when you no longer have to fish for a living, just endorse products that you never use. By the way, whats Taka doing these days?
  14. I do the same to my Shimano spinning reels. They have fewer bearings but there is still old grease to clean from gears, shafts and such. Be VERY careful when(if) you separate the body from the rotor as there are hair springs and cogs in there that can be a real challenge. It's a good idea to have an exploded drawing of your reel as reference. Compared to my baitcast reels my spinning reels seem to have twice as many parts. To what extent you want to get into the reel depends on your skill and personal comfort level. I would not hesitate to send it out if I was not confident in my ability to do it myself.
  15. Deep leg thrombosis.
  16. I wouldn't mind having Shane J's fishing experience and expertise minus the attitude. There is such a thing as disagreeing without being disagreeable and it has little to do with heat in the kitchen.
  17. An interesting question with equally interesting answers. Honestly, at 66 I doubt that I would become physically involved, I hate hospitals. I would call 911 and try to enlist the help of as many people as I could. Drunks are inherently unpredictable and dangerous.
  18. What size motor on what kind of boat? K-Mart carries Sears Die Hard, Deep Cycle, group 27's on sale for around a $100.
  19. Well, lets ask him. Tom did you catch that fish your holding?
  20. I've been using Trilene XL , XT & BG ever since forever without any problems that I can see. Re-spool with fresh line every spring, couple good squirts of KVD L&L and it's all good at a reasonable price.
  21. Kinda looks like that bass Tom is holding would qualify as a giant bass ,at least here in MI. Dude.
  22. I've been using the plain, white scum frogs for years and they seem to work about as well as anything. I like to experiment on them, putting spots on the bottom with a Sharpie. Sometimes I'll take the skirt off and tie on a short , black, shoestring tail for a mouse. Bass don't seem to care one way or the other most of the time. If it moves and looks edible thats good enough for them.
  23. You can make adjustments for a number of variables but if you have been fishing long enough and have a fair memory , you will generally find fish where you would expect them to be on any given day and set of conditions.
  24. I have a 94 Tracker TV-17 with a 60hp, 2 stroke Merc that I bought new as a first boat. I can't say anything about service because Ive never needed any. The only downsides are it doesn't handle big water very well and it's a little on the ''cozy'' side for two people as it has a 72'' beam. I like the floor plan ,which is no longer offered, and it tows like a feather. If I ever need to re-power, I will go 4stroke but for now old ''smokey'' still makes her fly. From my experience, I would go out and buy another Tracker if I had to replace this one. By the way, I've never had any problems with the trailer either.
