  1. Photo shop much Goose? Just kidding. I hooked a carp that size one time on 12lb and it was a blast.
  2. Looking good. What type of airbrush are you running?
  3. Very Nice detail on that rod!
  4. Yeah the bait monkey tore me a new one this winter. Rods/reels and more baits than I can count. I actually had to hang another 4x8 peg board in the garage to house all of the stuff. It is not usually this bad but I sold some items that gave me quite a bit of extra cash. Now I cannot seem to find that extra cash I had on hand. I believe it may be stuck to the wall.
  5. Head toward the equator
  6. Berkley actually hired a scientist to do this to I posted a link about it in a thread about "dropping fish" back in to the water from a few weeks back. The scientist had determined the same things.
  7. I am the exact same way. I reel left handed with spinning and right with BC's and I am right handed. When friends use my spinning gear they always tell me my handle is on backwards.

Oh man what a tuffie. Squarebill.
  9. X2. He got me a great deal on four of the Tatula rods.
  10. I agree with the reel issue. You should be able to cast any 1/2 ounce bait more than thirty feet actually even pitch more than 30' even with the brakes "turned way up". Try casting that bait with one of your other reels that you are casting well. If it works then you have your answer.
  11. My go to flipping and pitching bait as well. Anywhere I can fit the thing is where I plan on putting it. Catches me fish all year, and catches nice fish at that.
  12. peg boards and tackle bags full. probably around 800-1000. I really have no idea. So many that I haven used 3/4 of them.
  13. My first spending spree at BPS was used to purchase Daiwa S and Light& Tough rods. Got some Zillions, Vientos, a Sol and a Fuego. I still use all of them. I am only 25 but this was my senior year in high school 8 years ago. I love my S rods so much that I recently bought a few from a BR member(webertime, thanks BTW). So most of my stuff is fairly old but all works fantastic. This is the first winter I have bought new gear in bulk since.
  14. I absolutley love my L&T rods. I ordered the 7'4" Tatula because of how much I loved this one.
  15. X2. But the Aegis is still a top notch spinning reel. But it is kind of like comparing a Stradic to a Stella.
  16. TD Vibration, a few Excalibur and good ole Bill Lewis and some Spots
  17. Ike, Denny Brauer and Ish
  18. Ticking a trap off of the tops of deep submerged weeds is a "trap" for bass. Just find a patch of vegetation cast out as far as you can and let it get to depth. Bring it back to you barely skimming the top of the grass actually let your bait touch it and rip it out every so often and you will be in for some good fishing.
  19. I agree with that. This has been the longest winter ever.
  20. Got ya. I have all of those reels and you can adjust them with your thumb while palming it is one of my favorite thing about most Daiwa reels.
  21. The Daiwa reels mentioned are all adjust on the fly Mag systems. But It sounds like you got a good deal. Congrats on the new reels. I have been thinking about gettint the 5:4.1 for some time now.
  22. 9 and 10 years old. I took them a few times last year with T-rigs and they had a blast so I thought I would continue their fishing IQ with something a little different and a little more high paced. I figured if I got them both a box with a little mix of lures they would be even more excited about it. I have some things for them already but I know they would be pumped to get their own little boxes.
