  1. yeah I was more worried about them throwing them up into the top of a tree not getting hung up in the water.
  2. I am teaching my Nephews to fish and want to teach them traps and squarebills this spring. Only problem is I dont want them losing my good baits. I found this company on Fleabay and they have an actual website. Has anyone had any experience with them? All of there lures say tank tested but for the price of these lures(usually 1-2 dollars each) there is no telling what that means. I wan them to have a lure that runs true but one that I wouldnt care if they lost.
  3. upX2 my 98 Nitro uses this same one. Follow these instructions or google a picture and you will find it.
  4. They are both good reels and I dont think you would be making a bad decision either way you went. That being said you already know which one I would recommend. LOL. Anyway I would personally go on up to a Daiwa Certate 2506/2506h.
  5. I was there last July and I didnt see any expeditions for fishing or I would have been all over them. You may be able to find something though.
  6. Great. Thanks guys.
  7. What he said. lol. I ordered a few this weekend I said 113 in another post but I forgot I had included a cover for each one for 2.99.
  8. Jumping in on an old topic but I have a ? to add. Should the "backing" line have a bigger diameter than the leader line?
  9. I would wear it proudly supoort a fellow Missourian, BR sponsor and da*n good jig smith. I am with the taller guys here on having an option of not showing our belly buttons or top portion of our backsides to fellow anglers.
  10. I agree with the Curado, but one other option is to jump on a T3 Ballistic at TW right now. I picked up some this weekend because with the 25% classic sale going(ends today) they were only 113 bucks.
  11. Keep the reel man. No matter what she says it will hurt her feelings if you take it back and then she may never get you fishing stuff again in fear of disappointing you. Sounds like you have a winner. My wife told me she looked at Daiwa stuff for Vaentines day and instead got me Fig Newtons. Needless to say I wish she hadnt even told me she was looking at Daiwa stuff. She said she was to overwhelmed with all the stuff that she didnt understand. What I am trying to say is she took a plunge and did great not many would even attempt to buy something like that. You can get a good rod these days for 100 to 150 bucks. I would go that route.
  12. I am the same way.I use a couple Daiwa Vientos in 6:3:1 if I am wanting a little different action because the twitching bar gives it a nice little hop. I also use a Zillion SHA 7:1, Aggrest 7.3:1 and recently picked up a T3 in 8.1:1. All for Jigs or flipping and pitching set ups. I like to pick up slack fast.
  13. I got some SK tungsten for 5 bucks a pack. Also got some 6 paks of KVD trebles for 5 bucks a pack. Rods were all about 15 bucks off. Did score a bunch of Bobmer squarebills for 2 bucks each.
  14. Just google search Creek Channel swings boostr. The first few images show good examples. I tried to load it into this post but would not work for me.
  15. The Stren is on sale 660yds for 5 bucks. Check it out.
  16. I am one of the self explanatory ones! But I was a bit curious about yours.
  17. I use 12 pound Cajun on one of my Zillion set ups and I love it. Have had no memory issues and have had it on for almost a whole season. Only put L&L conditioner on it once. Can not remember any breaks or much abbrasion on it either. It really impressed me for being a farily cheap line that i picked up at Wally World.
  18. It is a good real with lots of features for the money. The rod actually isnt that bad for the money either. I am not saying you couldnt spend a bit more and get a much better rod but for rods in that price range it is well built. My buddy has the 7' rod with the 2500SH reel and I have use it, I thought it worked well and he loves it.
  19. Recently sold my motorcycle and have been debating on pulling the pre order gun on this reel! I keep thinking of all the other goodies I could buy for that price though. Truly a sweet looking reel.
  20. X2. Exactly what I was thinking. Ron may still have that Type R for 155 TYD. Give him a call.
  21. Well I only fish a few tourneys a year at table rock and bull shoals the rest are fairly merky like LOZ. So I guess I am going to go with the Yo Zurich smoke and green.
  22. Haha, cannot believe I did not notice the title error before submitting the post. Got to love posting from an apple product! BTW could a mod fix that for me? if I can do it tell me how please. Thanks-Eric
  23. Has anyone used the new smoke color? And what do you think of it compared to the green and clear?
  24. All good rods for the money. Take a spooled up reel and a jig to the store and try them out. Sounds weird but its the only way. Other than that they are all decent rods. I would honestly go the route of the Shimano, solid rod from a dependable company.
