Abu Garcia Veritas Vs. St. Croix Mojo Bass Vs. St. Croix Premier
Mojo and Premier built on the same blank. I prefer a split grip, and have the mojo. Also, you're saving $20 or so and getting a technique specific rod. The veritas is very light and sensitive, but guides are crap. I had one break off, eventually got replaced under warranty (completely different story...) and. y replacement had one of the guides out of alignment with the others and its support was all bent up. For me, out of your options mojo bass is the obvious choice. But, I'd take a look at the Shimano Compre too. Very high quality blank, same price. I love mine. I'm also super interested in the *** Black by ***. May be my next casting rod. My only other advice is just to go in-store and see which rod feels the best to you. Oh yeah, the nee Duckett Ghists are interesting as well. The regular Micro Magics are nice, I wonder how these will be.

I would considering the Crucial is rated for lures 1/8-1/4 oz... Then you have the huge Genesis at a whopping 7'4" MH...

These two bait asters are my babies. But, they are polar opposites. The first is a Daiwa T3 Ballistic 6.3:1 paired with a Shimano Crucial 7'2" medium power fast action Worm and Jig rod. This combo is perfectly balanced, and a match made in heaven. It is a very "finessey" combo, and I run 10 pound line on it. The second is my big bait/power fishing setup. It's a Daiwa Tatula 6.3:1 on an iROD Genesis II 7'4" medium heavy power fast action. I use 14 pound line on this one. These are both very nice combos, and am proud to own them. Can't help but to pick them up and marvel them every time I see them!

The first setup is an Abu Garcia Orra SX20 on a Shimano Compre 6'8" medium XF drop-shot rod. The second is a Daiwa Aird 2000 on a Daiwa Aird 7' medium power fast action. These are my main two spinning setups as for now. I plan on upgrading the Aird reel to the Compre sometime, and move the Orra to a Crucial. Baitcast setups coming in the next post or two.

Looking For An Atlanta Area Bass Club
I've been looking for the right bass club in the Atlanta, GA area. The page listing clubs isn't very helpful, as it is not updated. I need to join as a non-boater, I don't have a boat. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I want very badly to be a part of a bass club, and finally be a tournament angler.

Cabelas Just Pushed Bps In The Mud An Stole His Girlfriend.
I'm wondering how they can even call this a Cabela's reel? Everything about it is Daiwa!

Shimano Compre?
I haven't had to deal with the Shimano warranty yet. Unfortunately, I did have to deal with Pure Fishing's though... A guide on my Veritas Micro broke off. Through the warranty replacement process, I was shipped a Fenwick Walleye jigging spinning rod, four Penn Carnage saltwater jigging rods, and finally, after a TON of e-mails, my new Veritas. If your Pure Fishing product breaks and is under warranty, all I have to say is good luck to you...

Shimano Compre?
I have a St. Croix mojo bass, a Abu Veritas, and a Shimano Compre. Veritas and mojo are casting, Compre is spinning. I'd stay away from the Veritas, lots of issues with the guides, and the warranty is a pain to deal with. The mojo is awesome, I love it. Super sensitive, little tip-heavy with a 6.7 oz reel. The Compre is also very very nice, and is also a tad tip heavy with an Orra SX 20 spinning reel. Not sure on the weight. I prefer the Mojo though, I like the cork, and I think the styling is much better as well. Both are very nice. I'd say go into your tackle shop and fee which one you like best. Next on my list of $100 rods is the *** *** Black, and then a Duckett Ghost...

Tatula Vs. Lexa
Let's try to keep this on topic, I wanted to know about Lexa vs. Tatula not Chronarch vs. Tatula
-
Tatula Vs. Lexa
That's one of the main reasons I'm liking the Lexa. I find the Tatula just a little awkward to palm.
-
Tatula Vs. Lexa
Where can I find them for the same price? And what price?
-
Tatula Vs. Lexa
So which do you prefer? The Tatula or Lexa? I still would think the Lexa is more comfortable to palm... I'm trying to get rid of my Pro Qualifier for most likely a Lexa

Combo Ideas For 200 Bucks Give Or Take!
I've had issues two Veritas micro guide rods with the guides. Pretty weak, be wary of this. I'd personally get either a St. Croix mojo bass or a *** *** black. As for the reel I would definitely pick up another T3B at this price. It is such a sweet reel, and the braking system is the best I've used.
-
Tatula Vs. Lexa
Is it worth getting a Tatula over the Lexa? I have a Tatula and love it, but am really looking into a Lexa. The Lexa is just smaller and easier to palm, but also for some reason a little heavier (which I don't really care about).

Broken Insert. What To Do?
The tip guide of my venceance was all cracked up, and frayed the heck out of my line. Out of warranty so ended up busting tip off and replacing with a new Fuji one. As to Abu's (Pure Fishing's) CS... They'll get you a new rod shipped, eventually... A guide broke off of my Veritas micro casting rod, and during the replacement process I was shipped a Fenwick walleye spinning rod, 4 Penn saltwater carnage rods, and finally a new Veritas

I'm about to get my first Daiwa, and I'm interested in customizing it. Going for the T3 Ballistic, only because it is on sale for $125 at TW lol! This whole customizing thing is NOT cheap! I want a HawgTech handle, these knobs, maybe different color accent screws and such from hedgehog studio... It'll cost me more than the reel!

Oh, I thought that $22 was for a pair! $40 for some plastic and aluminum knobs seems a little steep

Are they comfortable?

Where did you get those knobs? They look like the T3 air knobs. I'm looking for knobs for a T3 ballistic and a handle
