  1. Nice catches there. Congrats.
  2. Dan - Welcome to BR. Enjoy the forums. Lots of great folks here.
  3. I'm not in favor of this. I doubt it'll happen anyway. It takes a lot of swagger to pull off big buyouts like that.

I use the Ego small rubber landing net. Approximately $42. Hoop size of 14 inches by 16 inches. Hook/snag free rubber mesh. Innovative grip design. Floats. No metal to rust. Bag depth of 12 inches. About 36" long.
  5. Great video of some great catches. Congrats, A-Jay. I liked the victory fist pump.
  6. Scott - Welcome to BR. Enjoy the forums. Lots of great folks here.
  7. It's a little late to ask for advice, if you "recently got it". But I agree with Sam, it's an excellent set up. Congrats. Let us know how you like it after fishing it.
  8. Justin - Welcome to BR. Enjoy the forums. Lots of great folks here.
  9. Bring your rod to the tackle store & try them out together. I would prefer a slightly larger reel for that setup, but as Fishes in trees stated - "Balance is a subjective thing."
  10. Wow. Although you should say lucky day, not a sad day. You were fortunate no one got hurt, or that it didn't cause an accident. Plus there was no damage to the boat or trailer? Lucky, but scary. Glad everything turned out okay. It could have had an altogether different ending.
  11. Congrats on a nice catch.

    Congrats on a nice catch.
  13. Search the forums here for blade baits, then give them a try.
  14. Wherever you're going, stop at the local tackle shop & ask. They'll be happy to help you out. Buy local & help them out. If you can't afford stuff, ask around - somebody must have some saltwater gear to lend out. A-Jay gave you a great tip on the bucktails, especially with a trailer (pork rind or plastic).
  15. Don't be scared to ask to try PFDs on. Most kayak places will help you out. If you're buying online, Choporoz gave a great suggestion for the Strolquist Fisherman High-Back PFD. That's what I use - check them out.
  16. I can understand saving some coin on some accessories or making your own, but the "life jacket" shouldn't be on this particular list. Don't skimp on the PFD. Choose one wisely. It has to be dependable & comfortable. If it isn't, you'll choose not to wear it. Research the type you want, choose wisely, and WEAR it.
  17. Nice collection of catches. It looks like you had them dialed in on what they wanted to hit. Congrats.
