Stunted Farm Pond... How do I fix it?
I know how you feel . I fish at a private 10 acre pond that has depths of 30ft and has been established for over 20 years and still is loaded with 1lb bass. Bluegill over 2lbs. Would take ALOT of work to fix this one.

Fishing on a trip to Florida.
My opinion if you want a better chance at a 10+ Toho beats big O hands down if you're using live bait.

Fishing on a trip to Florida.
If you want a good chance at a 10+ I would definitely hire a guide on Toho. Let me know if you need some info.

Squarebill Frenzy
Thanks. It's my favorite now.

Lake Okeechobee
No problem. Iv'e had good results the last 3 years in a row on Toho while on vacation. All have been big bass up to 10.5 using live bait. The right guide is a big part the puzzle.

Squarebill Frenzy
For the last week or so the squarebill bite at some local ponds has been really good. They have been choking down a Manns baby minus 1 in Fire Shad. Luckily I had a few that color because a big pickerel chewed it off during the day. The pre-spawn feed bag is on and need to take advantage of it.

The Most Amazing Thing You've Ever Caught That Wasn't A Fish!
Brownie points lol. The list is pretty long. From what I can remember ... A big gator, duck flying by, couple fishing rods.

Lake Okeechobee
If you're still in the area try West Toho for better chances at giant bass. I know several guides if you need one.

Florida Vacation Bassin ( Double Digit)
Didn't see any gators there but plenty at other lakes and ponds.

Florida Vacation Bassin ( Double Digit)
There's some giants in small ponds down there. I should have put more time in the Clarion ones.

Florida Vacation Bassin ( Double Digit)
I hope you don't mean the Clarion Inn where you lost the giant one lol. We stayed in that hotel for a few days until we moved to the condo in Davenport. I fished the Clarion ponds a few times and never saw anything but thought there has to be bass in there. The one behind the Kobe steakhouse too.

Florida Vacation Bassin ( Double Digit)
Yes, it was one of many small ponds in the area I stopped at. Did you have any luck there?

First Swimbait Bass
Good deal. Watch it swimbait collecting is addictive.

Florida Vacation Bassin ( Double Digit)
Thanks. The giant one and most of the 4-7 lbers were caught on shiners. The others were a mix of worms, swimbaits and squarebills.

Florida Vacation Bassin ( Double Digit)
We stayed in one area on Butler and was fishing in 8-15 fow. Like most big lakes every day is different as far as production. Not exactly sure what stage they are in. Are they going out on there own or with a guide?

Florida Vacation Bassin ( Double Digit)
Thanks. It's something I try to do every winter and make it a point to hit Toho atleast once.

guess the weight of this bass...
Definitely not 10. I would say 6-7 is pretty close. Nice bass anyway!

Florida Vacation Bassin ( Double Digit)
I'm down in Central Florida searching for some big bass that want to play. So far the bite has been slower than the last few times I visited. Iv'e hit one of the Disney lakes for a short guide trip, some lake near the Stick Marsh, Lake Butler and many roadside ponds. Caught bass anywhere from 10 inches to 5lbs and lost a few 4's and one atleast 8. While pitching a Missle Baits D Bomb near a bed at the marshy lake an 8ft gator took it and ran with it hard and fast.As soon as it hit the bottom I felt and heard the drag screaching. For a few seconds I was thinking teen size bass but those hopes changed pretty fast. I worked him for about 5 minutes and eventually it burrowed down and wouldnt budge and we had to break the line.17lb test held up strong wrestling that thing around. At one point we saw the tail and it knew it was a big one. Had a few close encounters with gators bank fishing also. The last two days were out on Toho. Like my previous times out on that lake the results were good. The first day caught a dozen bass and a few gars and missed about as many. They ranged in size from 4 lbs up to the giant that was 10.5 with a 20 inch girth. The second day was cut short due to the 3-4ft waves and wind but still managed to land 8 bass up to 7lbs and a 4-5lb longnose gar. Ive been nonstop on my vacation. The big one of the trip

Confirmed Delaware state record LMB=2/20/16
It's actually 11.1 but still a HAWG.. Yeah it could be the same fish . If not there's some good genetics in there. I live about an hour and a half from there.

Central Florida
Depending how the recent bite was I would pick Toho for sure.

Fishing In/Around Los Angeles
That place is sick. I caught two over 8, one over 6 and a bunch of 2-3's the same day.
