  1. It's a nice program. I received $200 worth of gift cards from Bass Pro Shops for entering the one in my avatar.
  2. Good job. Looks like you're having a blast down there.
  3. What bait were you using in the second video? They were on it quickly.
  4. Congrats on your personal best double digit hawg!
  5. Good luck down there. You have a nice variety of baits to use. Don't worry about the reel. Iv'e caught bass up to 10lbs on a spinning reel like that throwing big Huddleston Swimbaits.
  6. Nice tankers! Congrats on your new PB.
  7. Really nice!
  8. I know what you mean when people stick it in the camera lens but the guide actually took the pic from the back of the boat . I'll find some other big bass pics later today that might be a better comparison.
  9. Hard to say exactly by the picture but I would guess 8-9. The one in my avatar is 11 for comparison and I'm 6'1''. Congrats on your PB it's always a good time beating your previous best.
  10. Funny how that works sometimes. The bad thing was I caught more pickerel than bass. They seemed to be more active for the topwater than the bass.
  11. Today was the last day of warm weather before the temp is going to drop 20 degrees in the next few days. Water temp ranged from 53-56 while I was there. I was waiting to see when the topwater frog bite was going to stop and it may have for the most part. I caught a few pickerel on the frog today but no bass. Not digging the cold weather ahead. A few weeks ago while throwing the frog near a big branch sticking out of the water it got hung up and eventually I had to cut the line. Today I throw another frog in the same area and it got stuck also. A little bit of yanking from different angles and the frog popped loose. As I'm reeling it in I can see the other frog from last time hooked to the frog from today. Strange luck but I'll take it. Even with the water temp around 55-57 the only way I caught bass today was slow fishing with a 5'' worm rigged weedless. I'm limited to what I can use due to the thick grass and muck that is on alot of the surface along with all the leaves. This is where both frogs were stuck on.
  12. 7lbs on a Spro Poppin frog in Rainforest Black. Caught in the finger lakes in 2012 during my first time there. Even got my pic and article in a Rochester newspaper. ( long story)
  13. I'm in New Castle.
  14. Thanks. I'm in Delaware and the air temp was about 57.
  15. Today I stopped at one of my honeyholes to see if the topwater bite was still on. Water temp was 62 and a slight breeze. I was throwing a Booyah pad crasher frog on 50lb braid. Ended up catching 2 bass. One blew up on the frog 3ft from the bank right in front of me and several got off before I could get them in. We'll see how much longer before the topwater bite stops.
  16. During my time out in Southern California I fished at Diamond Valley Lake. Like most lakes in the area it was crazy to see how low the water level was. I was throwing a popper along a shaded point and a smallmouth bass jumped out of the water and nailed it. It was 3lbs plus which is big for that lake I was told. We moved to a new spot near the dam and was dropshotting and caught a couple smaller bass but had a big one break me off under the boat. Would have been the biggest of the day. It was nice to get out on some new water. The lower section of the boat ramp was added on due to the low water levels I was told.
  17. Thanks again for all the replies...I have alot of things to try to resolve the issue.
  18. Thanks for all the replies. It's weird that it just started happening and it's on the same lures Iv'e been throwing pretty consistently. It's happening while throwing a hollow body frog on braid and 7'' worms on flouro. Even respooled with a different brand of braid and still doing it.
  19. Recently while fishing Iv'e had some serious birdnests forming on my line as I'm casting. It's happening with braid and flouro on two different spinning rods/reels. It has been happening several times on both setups in the same day and the knot is so bad I just cut the line and retie. Going through line like crazy lately. Any ideas?
  20. I have caught some smallies up to five and a half pounds the only time fishing for them at one of the finger lakes but I agree that Lake Erie is the place to go.
  21. Five and a half pounds on a football jig in 35' of water in Conesus Lake in November 2013
  22. I have tons of underwater video from one of my private ponds in De. The go pro does a nice job and is supposedly safe to over 100ft. I normally don't film any deeper than 12ft or so even though it's 25ft deep. It's interesting to see what's going on down there.
  23. Yep. My second biggest was over 10lbs the same week in a neighborhood pond on a 6'' swimbait.
  24. 15 and a half pounds is definitely a beast of a fish to be caught that far north.
