Nice fish!

I'm sure alot of swimbaits will land you some nice bass in Florida. The short time I was down there recently I was throwing a 6'' weedless Hudd and caught this lady. I would have thrown an 8'' if I had a different rod/reel combo with me. And I agree on the patience thing...keep at it and you might not get numbers but a better shot at a giant.

I haven't fished anywhere near the amount of big lakes that I want to but I would put Lake Toho very close to the top and ahead of Okeechobee.

Its funny you mention Baccarac because I have been checking out the reports and info on that lake recently.

Last night I caught a 5lber in the pond behind the house we're staying in as the bass were blowing up on minnows or some bait fish near the bank. Today I decided to throw the buzzbait all along the perimiter and one of the big mamas crushed it. She was pushing 9lbs. I'm running out of time to fish before we head back home up north.

I havent rigged them by themselves yet but on the back of a chatterbait has been productive.

Keep hitting up those ponds. I caught a 5lber last night on a buzzbait in the small community pond behind our house and there are bigger ones in there.

I agree. I'm on vacation down here and have caught 2 bass over 10lbs in less than 5 days. I would have to put Florida at or very close to the top.

I can get used to this stuff lol. Today I stopped by a few neighborhood ponds and was throwing some Huddleston swimbaits. 2 bass decided to inhale the bait. One was over 6lbs and the other was a 28'' long Giant that weighed 10 3/4 lbs. I was told these community ponds can hold some monsters. I have a few more to try out in the morning or later today if I can't resist.

Thanks guys. I caught 2 7lbers the same day. This beast had me reeling in like crazy. I didn't know the true size until she surfaced next to the boat and that's when I was like wow! She was weighed, pictured and gently put back in and swam away to be caught again someday.

I was hoping for a giant bass while on vacation in Florida and today it happened. This afternoon I reeled in the biggest bass by far that Ive ever caught. It pulled the scale down to over 11lbs.

Well, I fished Toho today for the first time. I'm a firm believer that lake has loads of toads. I caught my personal best there today and had a blowup that could of been a 12+ according to the guide and just the sound of the fish and the water displacement. I'll probably be going there a few more times this week during my vacation. This is my biggest to date.

Congrats. Beating your PB twice in the same day is a good day of fishing.

With the temp dropping slightly starting on Monday ( The first fishing day of my vacation)in the Kissimmee area will that be enough to affect the fishing . I heard from a few sources that they preferred a cooler temp and rainy weather. Thanks for any info.

It works real well in one of my ponds and there's not even perch there .

That's some nice growth. I sort of manage a one acre pond in my town that has bass and bluegill. The bluegill and some of the bass are pellet trained and quite a few of the bluegill are a little over a pound. I caught the same bass last april and caught it again in October and it was about a pound and a half heavier. These are northern strain though.

From Sarasota to Lake Toho looks to be around 130 miles roughly.

Save me a few bass for next week when i am there lol.

I guess it's a random thing. My DT6 in bluegill that I received from TW last week didn't have the sureset hook.

He was hoping it would shake loose.

I picked this guy up at Dick's today. I'm sure it happens once in a while and not sure how it'll affect the action but I'll find out when I get to Kissimmee.

Not too weird but Iv'e caught them wacky rigging gummy worms.
