Winter River Fishing
Not sure where you're at but the suskie here (north branch) is running mighty high and looks like chocolate milk.

Dumbest Or Most Silliest Things Said To You Or Heard While Fishing
The funniest thing I've ever heard while fishing was from a ski boat. Coldsvt and I were on one of the finger lakes and a ski boat was pulling a young boy on a tube. The entire time they are flying down the lake another boy on the boat is screaming to the driver "Kill him! Kill him!" He just kept screaming it until he got hoarse and Coldsvt and I were falling over from laughter.

Pennsylvania Brethren!
Sadly Tioga was not as good this year as the previous year. Coldsvt and I love fishing there but didn't spend much time there this year. We fished Cowanesque quite a bit instead. The cow fished amazing this year. Spent a lot more time on the finger lakes this year and learned a ton. I'm now addicted to pitching docks. Cannot wait for spring! Coldsvt and I are looking to head to Smith Mountain lake in March to get an early start on the season. Last March we hit Lake Norman.

What Line For Jerkbaits?
This fall I switched to seaguar senshi mono and it seems to help the hookup ratio. It seems to be a good medium between most mono and fluoro. A little stretch, just enough.

Insert Vs Insert-Free Tungsten Weights
I've had issues with the inserts knicking my line so I use insert free now.

How Do You Divide Your Tackle Bag?
I just got a cabelas magnum bag and am in the process of reorganizing. Thus far I have a 3600 for terminal tackle, 3600 for dropshotting, 3700 for topwater, 3700 diving hardbaits, 3700 for jigs, 3700 for creature baits, 3700 for swimbaits, 3700 for trailers. The nice part of having things categorized by type/method is the ease of swapping boxes for the particular body of water you're heading to.

Your Favorite Technique This Past Season
Pitching docks, followed by bombing norman weed walkers way back in lilly pads, followed by arashi wake bait. For next year, looking forward to adding skipping docks to above.

Water Shoes
I have some Adidas hydroterra shoes that are just like an running shoe but are neoprene and mesh inside. Gives me the traction and support of a running shoe but you can wade in them.

Favorite Lucky Craft Color
Crack black has worked well for me this past year.

Something Is Going On With My Lews Tournament Pro, Need Some Help
So you're saying your drag begins to slip and then just locks up. Pull out the drag washers and see if you've got crud between them.

Flouro Break In Spool
Repeating this very scenario multiple times this summer and losing 20+ yards of expensive fluoro each time is what finally prompted me to make the switch to braid with fluoro leader and I will never go back to straight fluoro. The kinking on the spool and breaking happened to me with seguar red label, invisx, tatsu, and finally FC sniper. The good news is that I have spools of leader material!

Anybody Ever Get Caught Without Their License?
Pennsylvania just started selling 5 year licenses. So I bought one of those and will be covered for awhile.

What'd You Get This Black Friday (Or Thursday Lol)?
I was all ready to load up on some lucky craft pointers and wake baits at TW until I read the fine print for the sale. Lucky Craft wasn't covered in the 20% off. What a disappointment. Still managed to order $100 worth of goods.

Loading A Boat On A Trailer Without Using Outboard Motor.
I have a jet outboard, so driving the boat on is ridiculously simple in the skinniest of water. Electric only lakes, I can pull the boat on most of the way with the bow rope, then winch the last few feet. My boat it very light, so that makes it much easier. I do enjoy seeing people cringe when I pull the trailer out without tilting the motor all the time.

Local Tackleshop Vs. Retail Giants
I really try to use the local shop as I'd like to see them do well. However, being smaller accounts, they have a hard time keeping stock of the stuff that I want and getting it when I want/need it usually take too long. So, if I can plan ahead, I'll get it through the local guy, but if it's a rush deal, I'll go with the big guys that have what I need on the shelf and can get it to me in days versus weeks.

Buying Tackle With Your Fishing Partner
I tend to buy tackle for techniques that will compliment my partners strengths. We each have certain approaches that we like and they compliment each other for the most part. Rarely do we fish the same lure unless we've established a pattern that really is producing. I do bounce ideas off my partner most times before buying new tackle. Its good to get a second opinion.

Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
7'3" MHXF. It'll be replacing the 7'3" *** that I've been using to pitch plastics. It joins 2 *** blacks and an *** Green. Love these *** rods.

Braid Vs Fluorocarbon Casting
After using both for the last few years I think I've come up with the combination that I like best. I've gone to 30# Smackdown braid with 20# FC Sniper fluoro leaders. The sensitivity with this combination is incredible and it casts great with little backlash.

Scored a *** *** casting rod for $125 off of ebay. Wasn't looking for a rod but it was too good to pass up.

Lews Tournament Lite Vs Team Lite Vs Bb1 Pro
I too have a lews laser that I have retired. I had wanted something cheap to use to throw a-rigs. I quickly found out how much the frame on the laser flexed. I'll tell you that you will be absolutely blown away by the difference between the laser and the higher end lews reels. I picked up one of the new tournament mbs about a month ago for the 8.3:1 ratio and I'm really impressed with it for the price and its a lower end model. I will probably get another bb1 pro or tourny pro before spring.

Powerplant Lakes In Pa?
Don't bother with Chillisquaque. I live a mile away and its a wasteland of a lake. Electric motor only and not many fish. PPL also owns lake wallenpaupack too. These lakes really aren't warmed much by disharge like southern lakes. There used to be a power plant in the susquehanna in Sunbury that discharged warm water and caused fish to congregate. That plant is shutdown now.

Lews Tournament Lite Vs Team Lite Vs Bb1 Pro
I have a bb1 pro and its my favorite reel. I throw 1/4 oz chatterbaits with it easily. The brakes offer so much adjustability which makes it easy to dial in but I rarely have to adjust it. I'm using it spooled with 40# Smackdown on a *** Green. The combo is the most versatile setup I have and I have 3 other ***/lews combos. Also, everyone seems to gripe about the wide spool on the bb1. You're talking 1/4" wider at most and it fits in my hand just the same as my other lews reels.

Anyone Try The New Rapala Walking Minnow Yet?
I have two of the bx minnows and have thrown them a little bit with no bites. I bought them the same time as s bunch of arashi wakes and I've had a ton of fish on the arashis. The action of the arashi is so much better and it seems a little difficult to get the bx to wake consistently. It tends to dive part way through the retrieve. One thing I've learned with the arashis is that it is critical to be breaking the surface and making that V on the retrieve. I have a hard time doing that with the bx minnow. The arashis also cast much further.
