  1. I didnt buy it technically...but i cut the bottom out of a can out and used it as the worlds worst spoon, caught a half pounder largemouth. This was about 8 months ago, havent tied another on since though heh
  2. Hey all, just recently stumbled on Bassresource and figured why not sign up. I dont know about others, but learning new things Aint killed me yet. I hail from good ole Lake Anna, Been fishing for a couple years now, never really kept track. Unlike most here, i don't generally fish from boats. Almost always a rather large docking system on Anna's hot tub. I've never really had bad luck in my pocket cove, besides the off days that happen every now and then. Or maybe its just the fact that i don't mind spending 12 hours fishing without a bite provided its non windy and warm out. But yea, that's me, Whazzzzup
  3. Ranndom=Nickname i picked up years ago Undead=Hollywood Undead, a band that really shaped me into who i am today. RanndomUndead has been something thats stuck with me since sometime around 2008
  4. Shakey Head, Suspending Jerkbait, etc. Anything that sits still in the water really. Bass are opportunistic feeders, so while theyre metabolism drops ridiculously low in cold water, theyll still bite. They just generally wont chase anything. The key is to just dangle it in front of their face while theyre suspending there to tick em off enough to where theyll take a free meal using the least amount of energy. Theres a reason bass are called lazy, haha
  5. March fishing all depends on how early the heat rolls in imo. Generally the first rain of march (Hit the water the day after) will begin the bass/baitfish moving into 10ft and shallower waters for the fresh oxygen, When the water heats up, theyll move into the 5ft and shallower. Since i rarely fish anything over 10ft i like to use soft plastics over spinners and such. Lizards, Shakeyheads, worms, also going to be trying frogs this year. Im not sure how the water color is there, but if its clear water fish blues/blacks somewhat near the surface. (If repetively hitting a spot make the lure drop a little deeper each cast) Your best bet would be to keep a log though. Experiment with various lures while Recording size/weight/species of fish, time of day, type of day, etc and within a year youll basically have your own cheat sheet of what to use, when to use it, how to use it, and where to use it
  6. I've never gone for "bassy looking" spots. If im on a boat i just go until my gut tells me to stop, and so far my gut has never failed me
  7. They aren't quite shallow yet, My cove is still a barren wasteland, About now theyre probably moving into the 15ftish range on the hot side
  8. I have a feeling the 96,000 Wipers theyre stocking here soon is going to change "One Fish Anna" back into its 50 fish legend days. Atleast for this year. Why they want to stock fish that cant breed ill never know
  9. Well, i don't do much...or any deeper water fishing really, but when you find yourself in a shad kill, try and move to the outer edge of it. Snag the bass before they get their fill. The problem with Lake Anna is the ridiculous amount of baitfish, Hopefully the 96,000 Wipers theyre stocking soon can even the field, and hopefully they put some on the hot side haha
