  1. Thanks everyone!
  2. I use 50lb when the cover gets thick. Not so much for the fish but for what I may have to pull him out of.
  3. Real nice guy. Got to talk with him for 10-15 mins and he gave me a few tips as well.
  4. Thanks a bunch Scott. I have bookmarked the link for the future!
  5. I'm a culprit man but after being on this site for a month or so I see that many like using the senko. My question is what color, and size to you good folks recommend? Also I'm assuming just a Texas rig.
  6. Look for the Florida state parks app on your smart phone. I know Apple has it. It will locate places close by and let u know what activities are available.
  7. Getting the chores finished today so I can go out tomorrow.
  8. Hard to beat 580 costa lenses. I would not buy a pair of the Calcutta brand shades. Bought me and my son a pair a few years back and were in pieces before the trip was over. I would imagine the strike kings are ok.
  9. Always good to feel that weight on the line.
  10. That's a good little hole. Thanks for letting us know the baits!
  11. Justin Bieber. Use him as an anchor!
  12. Tom and Tina . Seriously I would have told say Bill Dance and Hank Parker.
  13. No difference then stocking a lake I suppose. While I don't really care for it. I would not mind someone dropping some in the lake behind the house!
  14. Can anyone recommend a guide to me. Looking to book for a trip in August. Thanks.
  15. Going on for about another week. For those like me that don't like to drop a ton at one time. Free ship to the store as well.
  16. Apartment lake in St. Petersburg FL. I'm pretty sure it was a push button zebco of some sort. I think it was 1984 and I hadn't caught anything. Some older gentleman advised me to throw it on the bank and let it fall in. Bout the next cast...BAM! I was hooked with a moster 1lber or so. That was all it took for me.
  17. Best I can tell it was made in1961. I am would love to know what's under other than the depth. Will check with the county on that map.
  18. I've been bass fishing for 30 years and just within the last few months have learned to throw a bait casting reel (waited way to long on this one). Bottom line is just fish. Stuff changes so much that we all are always learning. I've really started changing my bait selection. Caught a ton of fish on square bill cranks. Super easy to use. Throw and retrieve with the occasional adjustment of speed.
  19. Frog toggz. Saw some under armour stuff today at gander mountain for $100 plus for just the top. Call me cheap but I just could not pay that much for rain gear. Usually I just wait for it to pass anyways!
  20. Didn't see them. Will check them out.
  21. Saw a portable fish finder there today for around $40. Anyone ever seen or used it? Thinking about picking it up and trying it out. Priced where it's not the end of the if it's junk.
  22. Exactly. Got a little 12 ft Jon. Think I'm gonna do the rope trick in certain spots for starters. I've seen the phone deal and may buy one down the line. Thanks.
