  1. It's not going far on 10 gallons of gas. Them old motors get 3 or 4 miles to a gallon of gas.
  2. If it has anti-siphon valves then you can mount the pump as low as you like. If you put the tubing in the top or as close to that as you can it's not going to backflow anyways.
  3. Put this one on my Lowe 180W. 41$ at amazon free shipping and you can mount it any where you like but inside the livewell. I put mine on a fuse and toggle switch.
  4. I added a Power Bubbles to my Lowe 180w and put it on a Toggle Switch. $41.00 at Amazon. It will take care of both livewells. I did It because I take fish home to eat and it lets me give them air when the boat is out of the water and seemed like less trouble then adding a recirculating pu
  5. What you need to use in a boat for plywood is form plywood or marine plywood. Any lumber yard should have the form plywood. I used the form plywood for home made hang on tree stands, it last for ever. On a boat I would put a venal paint on it before I carpeted it.
  6. I have never seen a bass boat that didn't have a panel up front with a trim switch and TM plug for access. It must not have a tray for TM foot peddle either. Would most likely have to drill the holes bigger for toggle bolts and have to cut them loss to ever get it loss if you need to remove the TM.
  7. My rods are in a bass boat. It sets in the sun under a tarp when not in use, sure it gets super hot just setting there tarped in the sun.
  8. Will the sun and heat make a rod weak over time. Broke 3 rods in the last 3 trips to the lake. 1-2 weeks ago and 2 today. 1 cheep Walmart rod and 2 good Cabela's rods.
  9. Could be a gear. I had a old TM stop turning the prop one time. When I took it apart it had 2 gears in it, both plastic, the teeth were gone. The replacement gears were steel. The one and only one I have taking apart, so all trolling motors may or may not have gears.
  10. ww.lurepartsonline I think will have everything you need.
  11. Don't know what it will be like with a passenger, but got it to ride level with just me in it, even stopped some of the proposing. Did a little modifying to the SE Sort 300 Hydrofoil.
  12. I have a 55lb 12v on a Lowe 180W, 2 batteries. On most days I am on 1 sometimes 2 a lot of wind 3. On 10 the boat makes a good wake. The lowest I have ever seen the batteries was 85% after an 8 hour windy day running just the TM the 8 hours. The boat is 17' 10'' 86'' beam rated for a 150 with a 90 on it, heavy old boat
  13. It should say on the I D plate on the trim and tilt along with model and serial number
  14. Any new boat should last 15 years. Using one as a pleasure boat can take years off the life of the motor over one that is just for fishing. Fishing the motor gets little use. I bought a 14 year old boat last year that was just used for fishing the outboard and trolling motor both like new because he was a pan and cat fisherman and used both very little. One used for bass fishing the trolling motor get all the use. I worked for a boat shop for 8 summers. The ones that were pleasure boats, the motors were a lot shorter lived.
  15. It is all centered but the 3 batteries. 1 on the right side and 2 on the left side and the only way to move one to the right would be to move the oil reservoir from the right side to the left side.
  16. Looks like the cavitation plate is about 1''1/2 above the bottom of the boat. The tap on the bottom side of the cavitation plate I have moved it both ways with no change in how the boat leans running across the lake. Moving weight is the only thing that has helped and it just helped when I have someone in the boat with me. Moved the passenger seat over so it is the same difference from the side of the boat as the driver seat, made a huge difference with a passenger. When I take off it is at 1/4 trim, it's on plane fast and takes little more trim before it reaches top end speed and starts porposing. I then trim it down until it stops porposing. When it gets to top end speed, you look over the side and all of the boat is in the water. That may be that a 90 is just not what a boat rated for a 150 needs. I would like more speed, but would be happy if I could get it to stop leaning heavy to the left when I have someone with me. Before I moved the passenger seat it was leaning so bad that it was putting water on the back deck in a left turn.
  17. Don't think I would move it, but what is p2p?
  18. No understand what you are saying. You don't get yours on plane much, but when you do, you don't have the leaning problem. I was just asking if your motor was setting as low as it could on the transom or if it was up off the transom one or two holes. They will sometimes set them on the transom and sometimes raze them up about 2 inches. The motor on my Lowe is setting on the transom, the one on the Tracker I had was razed 2''. If you razed it up the boat would run deeper in the water and may not lean like my Lowe does.
  19. Primer Bulb or Fuel Pump. I would have put a new Primer Bulb on it and tried that before I left it some where.
  20. Is your motor setting on the transom? Someone told me razing it up one or two holes may help it.
  21. Bought a 2002 Lowe 180W with a 90hp Johnson last year. The one thing I do not like about it is that at WOT it leans to the left slightly with just me in it and a lot with a passenger. It has a driver set and bench seat, there was a lot of room between the two so I moved the bench seat over all I could and helped it a lot. Seems like you have to run the bowl really low or it will start purposing. Put a SE Sport 300 Hydrofoil on it hoping it would help both, but did nothing for either one. A friend said to put a trim tab on the left side. Please help me.
  22. Melvern could be different, but I do better when are lakes here are high and muddy. Fish close to the bank when it's coming up or stable and move out away from the bank when it's going down.
  23. I would think they would all 4 have them. Birds would transport them from lake to lake.
  24. I think with the Zebra Mussels Melvern is a no go for me. They say you need to clean the boat and all fishing equipment.
  25. I seen the favorite lakes the two jokers have listed, and was asking what's up with that. My son is a supervisor for Kansas wild life and parks. Lives in Oskaloosa so Perry and Clinton are close and I liked the looks of Melvern. Going to get the boat out there next May or June I hope. Thanks for the help! If I make it out there the fish will go back in the water, so they are safe, not going to kill them.
