  1. Hmmm rewired the tm, some idiot ran the wires from the pedal to motor backwards. As far as idling, it's really embarrassing trying to idle in the launch and having the motor die. Anything above idle is fine, and I noticed the idle os high. You Can Hear The motor Hiccup right before it stalls. Kinda frustrating.
  2. Tried canandaigua on Thursday and got skunked, caught a couple of perch sunfish and a rock bass on jerk baits.....water gin glear, 61 degree water temps, I think all the fish kills have ruined canandaigua.
  3. I'll upload a picture of where the oil or gear lube is leaking. It might be unhurt gas oil it's jet black and my oil injection seems to be running pretty high, I also got a monometer to check the syncing of the carbs due to an idling issue, changed the fuel filter, and plugs.
  4. Look at the cables running from the TM to the battery there all proper is negative to negative positive to positive. I'm going to look. Maybe the switch on the foot pedal has a backwards wired.
  5. Btw the oil/ gear lube slowly drips from the rim with it connects not down the fin.
  6. First off I have 1990 175 tf nitro 17.5 foot with a Johnson 150. The lower unit has oil or gear lube on it the rim of of the unit. Enough to wear the transom savor is sticky with gear lube, could the lower seal be bad? Also the trolling motor spins backwards any way to diagnose this and fix it? Motorguide 55lbs 12v.
  7. Looked at it, apparently I would need three way valves, my boat is factory equipped with two way valves....I give up boat is going to the shop. Be easier than guessing, or jerry righing.
  8. Yeahp with a two valve I dont understand how it works....the pump than can only recirculation or pump in freshwater....I would need a second valve to make it a pump out or a three way valve for it go gravity drain, also the stock valves are only two ways, the only thing left from the boat.....
  9. Some have a fill pump, a recirculation pump, and a pump out pump, some only have 2....and some have just one pump and a gravity drain. I'm so confused lol
  10. Also does there need to be a third pump?
  11. I adjusted the trim tab and it help out alot. Apparently it has a raker prop on it which leads to even more pull? Lol I will be upgrading to a no feed back system soon!
  12. So I have a 1990 nitro 175 tf. The livewell pumps and plumbing were completely ripped out. All that were left were the 3 way valves. I found replacement pumps but need to know how to run the tubing. It has two separate tanks, one nozzle for each tank, and both have an overflow. There are two valves that shut off from the lake water and make both pumps recirculation the water, does the nozzles that point into the livewell add areation? Do the valves opened that allow the pumps to pump in lake water keep water out while boat is in motion? Sorry for all the questions.
  13. Awesome thanks guys!!!!
  14. Conesus was on fire today. Numerous smallmouth and a couple 4lbser green backs. Having a boat is so nice.
  15. So my 1990 nitro 175 tf I just bought only has 1 battery. And it's the cranking battery, it has a spot for a trolling motor battery and I want to know what battery I should run....Any suggestions ? Reasonably priced please.
  16. Awesome thanks for the info! Anybody know why when the boat is on plane why the wheel is almost trying to turn 60 lbs to the left but wants to rip the wheel to the right.
  17. Little bit of info, is getting you're name out there. Social media is a great way to start it. Also success is part of it. Another note I've seen is get used to rejection, I've sent tons of emails, made appearences and even helped in tents during expos for free to try to promote a product I believe in. Still only picked up a partial. And it's for a pizza company. I'm even looking at one from an umbrella from a sock company. But I like franchos question about why you need a sponsor. The reason I think I need one is help pick up expenses from gas and entry fees which are most expensive expenses, and help promote a product I believe in. And trust me I love pizza!
  18. so i finally stepped up to a bass boat, 1990 nitro 175 tf. mercury 150 on the back with a motorguide TM. Several issues first the boat runs great, the idle seems high and it wants to stall at idle, making it a pain to dock due to its speed and or stalling.....second the trolling motor arrow doesnt line up with the position of the trolling, meanig the pedal is flat but the arrow points right and the motor points backward.....any help would be appreciated!!!
  19. same thing in parts of canandaigua, haven't checked out honeoye yet. It's from the bad freeze and low oxygen levels also plants dieng off etc.
  20. Diawa tatula type r with the tatula matched rod. Field stream had the rods on sale 99.99 reel is 200.
  21. Perch color ftw right now. Love the action, I'll have to pick one up from bps or field and stream jaw spreader. Never had a pike inhale all three trebles! I was using the shallow covering rocky out points or over the secondary points.
  22. Finally got out, on cayuga, caught a couple but the pike were brutal, caught atleast 8 in 4 hours....
  23. So I'm throwing the new shadow rap for ice out bass and I caught several small is and a couple lmb in 5 hours but lost 3 of them to pike and I think one was tiger muskie, beautiful fish. Normally they maybe get two of three treble but one inhaled the whole bait! I felt bad trying to get the hooks out because he was very uncooperative for being a 32 inch pike. I couldn't keep is jaws open and he kept shaking and rehooking himself, needless to say after 3 mins of wrestling and blood on the boat I got him free and he swam off in torrent. Anybody got any tips for removing a triple treble hook jerk bait from a pike?
