  1. Mighty big request for a member of almost 3 hours
  2. Which one has the most comfortable seat for 6+ hours of fishing ?
  3. I used a bait caster my last 2 outings. I plan on using it a lot more next season.
  4. Fine looking fish, and definitely avatar-worthy. That has to be more than 5 lbs.
  5. I went on Saturday, and it was windy near me too. I just dropped my stern anchor and cast with the wind for a few hours. I make sure I have a jacket with a hood for windy days, makes it a tad more bearable because I hate the wind hitting my head. I was able to get some massive casts out though because of the wind.
  6. Well, the packaging doesn't actually specify what the lure will catch.
  7. Hello, Does having guys fishing from boats negatively effect your hunting ? Last week when I was fishing (225 acre lake, NJ Wildlife Preserve) none of the hunters were able to get a shot off, and I was wondering if they were cursing the guys fishing for keeping the birds away. I can say that during the non hunting season though, the lake is full of Canadian geese and all sorts of duck type birds regardless of the amount of boats.. To be honest, I forgot it was hunting season and didn't even realize until after about 4 hours fishing that the hunters were there because of their camo. I'll be fishing at a lake not in the wildlife preserve this weekend. Thanks
  8. Not my smallest, but smallest on film.
  9. Nice, looks like a great day on the water.
  10. I caught this guy this afternoon in N.J. I didn't get any measurements because it took me a while to get the treble hook out of it's mouth. I wanted to get it back in the water before it bit my nose off.
  11. I usually drive (From NJ to PA) 2 hours to Bass Pro, and then hit the Cabela's on the way back. When I take my buddies from NYC (who hunt and fish) on the trip they are in heaven and can't believe their eyes when they first walk in. For something quick and common I will stop at Dick's Sporting Goods near my house and hope they have it. I guess my loyalty is with Bass Pro Shops, I do advertise for them on my baseball hat.
  12. I really like my Cabela's auto pfd. It is so comfortable that sometimes I forget to take it off and I drive home with it on.
  13. I have used one of these from Bass Pro in the past.
  14. Wear eye protection. Have a clear pair to wear when it is dark.
  15. So last week I posted in this forum that I had caught my personal best at 3.59 lbs. ( http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/145408-assunpink-lake-nj-10042014-caught-my-personal-best/ ) I braved the 48 degree weather this morning and hit the same spot and beat last weeks bass with a 4.32 pounder. It was pretty exciting, I was using a lipless crankbait (same one as last weeks ) Thanks for looking !
  16. I like having an anchor on the bow and stern. When I first started I had the anchor over the side, but felt it was really unsafe in the wind and waves. http://www.scotty.com/fishing-gear-equipment/fishing-supplies/anchor-lock.htm
  17. Great video. Almost worth not catching it !!
  18. Assunpink Lake, N.J. 10/04/2014 Caught my Personal Best It was raining all day, but weather reports had clear skies after 2 p.m. so I took a chance and loaded up my canoe and headed for the lake. I made a good decision because the sky slowly cleared up as I was fishing. To my surprise, I was the only person on the lake from 2:00 - 5:30, at which time I left. Around 5:00 I caught my personal best since I started fishing last year. I was using a Cabela's brand Real Image HD Series in Bluegill flavor in about 10 feet of water. Thanks for looking.
  19. Congratulations, I started last year and it has changed my life for the better.
  20. I drive 2 hours to get to the Harrisburg, PA Bass Pro. I find the associates to be courteous and have helped me find an item a couple of times. P.S. If any fishing department associates from that store are reading this, please put all your Gary Yamamoto plastics in the same aisle.
  21. Here's mine. 9.25" length, weight unknown
  22. What a bunch of losers. They will always get the skunk eye around town for now on.
