  1. Great post and photo there of the age classes. As you can see in the 2.5 and 3.5 photos.. Where the neck meets the brisket goes from being defined to looking bulky and kind of like loose hide. You can also see the sag in the belly (aka Dad Bod). The muscle mass on the shoulders and hind legs grows significantly as well.
  2. Never heard of anything going by the nose/face. The easiest way to judge the body is by looking at where the neck meets the brisket, the "dip" in the back, and the belly. Beyond that, having the teeth done by a biologist is the only scientific way. The photo you posted doesn't really show any of those, but going by antler size that deer is either 3.5 or 4.5 years old. Definitely one that someone would be proud of.
  3. Bump 26 days til the season kicks off!
  4. Thank you! He certainly had some attitude. The base of his antlers were covered in tree shavings so I know he was rubbing a ton. I had 3 decent bucks on my cameras show up the week before season came in with a broken brow tine like that, so there was definitely some fighting going on.
  5. I don't think I ever posted my buck from this year but here he is. Came out during the second day of rifle season and just started feeding through the picked corn field. 236 yards was no problem.
  6. Not a Sitka guy, but I am a First Lite guy. I've been wearing it exclusively for 4 seasons now and haven't had any problems. I can tell you that the First Lite groups on Facebook have been extremely helpful for finding sizes (I would imagine there are Sitka groups as well). FL has reps in there as well as other hunters obviously. Just mention the item you're looking to buy and describe your build (e.g. 5'11, 205lbs) and usually someone will chime in who is a similar size and recommend what works for them. I'm not familiar with how Sitka works, but First Lite does offer free exchanges for sizing.
  7. Unfortunately they do stack the events on back to back weekends a few times a year. My suggestion is to click the green "Following" button at the top of this thread and set it to notifications every time a new post is made in here. Myself (and others) usually try to post reminders whenever there is a quick turn around in events.
  8. I believe this is now the 8th year I've ran the official BassResource fantasy league. Seems crazy that this has been going on this long now.
  9. I know that's not Misery Bay!
  10. The 2025 FF group is now live. Thread is below.
  11. The time has come for the 2025 Fantasy Fishing season to begin. For those unfamiliar, we have been doing this for a few years now as a fun way to compete and have a little fun among all our members. Do you think you have what it takes to take home 1st place for the season? Group Name: BassResource Password: BR2025 We encourage all members to play along. Just pick your anglers prior to each BASS Elite event and share them (or don't) with the group. It's all part of the fun! Here is the link to the official website. https://bassmasterfantasy.com/
  12. This is actually the Shimano R&D department testing out their new prototype DC braking system.
  13. Nick is a guy I fish with. He bought out the remaining inventory from Mann's whenever they closed up.
  14. That was from me. I hope you enjoy. The Big Texan color in those original Pit Bosses seemed fitting for a guy in Texas.
