  1. Man watching the Classic this past weekend has really got me into the urge to get out on the water. Was about to start taking apart and cleaning my reels but then I looked at the pile and was like yea that can wait for latter. How are the rest of you holding up? Any of you been out Ice Fishing? I have once we did OK.
  2. Sorry to hear of your loss.
  3. I had a decent time at the Show. Got to see and chat with Mark Zona for a few. That was really cool. Saw some friends from NBS at their booth and the people at the Talons/Falconry exhibit. Had a good day.
  4. Well taking the day off from work on Friday 2/12 heading down to the Sportsmans show in Worcester, Ma. Lets hope for an early thaw.
  5. Was it great? No. Was it the worst ever? Hell No. I loved the Who, before my time but a great band. My only problem with their performance was Pete Townsend's backing vocals should have been turned down more. Roger Daltry sounded fine. I will give them props for this. Id rather listen and watch them do a live performance, than watch a tween pop act lip sync a pre-recorded performance any day. Kudos to The Who...
  6. This is kind of a silly thread. Is the NFL rigged? No. It would cost them more money to rehab their tarnished credibility than what they would get. Even if the NFL was rigged. I am pretty sure they would want bigger market teams in the SB than Colts vs Saints, something along the lines of Steelers vs Cowboys. I mean these players with contracts earning what you and I earn in a year, they earn in a week.
  7. We got a big fat 0 up here, to far north. You guys further south keep it down there and have some fun with it. ;D ;D ;D
  8. Farve has a history of making bad decisions in clutch situations at clutch points of clutch games. Sure he is a good QB, however I feel he is over rated. Do I think the vikings could have made it to the NFC championship game with another QB? I sure do. Look at the Jets, or the Patriots 2001 campaign, both with unproven QBs. Trent Dilfer for instance not great QBs. They were not great at the time but they always gave their team a chance to win. Farve gets selfish and wants to do it himself, be the star? I dont know. When the pressure is on in a clutch game rarely does his "gunslinger" ways workout. Comparing a Linemen and a QB importance on plays isnt even close. Also Lett didnt cost his team as many games in the playoffs as Farve has. His post season record is 13 wins 11 losses, all this while he has thrown 30INTs. Im not the only one with this idea, check out what Sal Paolantonio said here. He has won 1 SB 13years ago. Vikings had a different quarter back last year. How that work out for them? Favre carried that team on his back. Due to the 12 men in the huddle penalty Favre was forced to throw. If not for that they would have ran the ball. Thought you said he was a gunslinger ? If all he did was hand the ball off how did he get 4,202 yards and 33 TD's ? TD Int Rate Brees 34 11 109.6 Favre 33 7 107.2 Manning 33 16 99.9 Brady 28 13 96.2 After comparing him to these scrubs I guess he does seem overrated : And he's 40 Jets had basically the same team as last year with a rookie QB that made it to the AFC championship game and lost just like the Vikings. Farve was on the Jets last year in 2008. TD INT Rating Farve 22 22 81.0 :-X :-X :-X

  10. This is one of his best seasons statistically. 107.2 Passer Rating 4,202 passing yards 33 TD 68% completion percentage Quit hatin' What happened even with all the turnovers his team still had a chance to win the game. He could have run for a minimal gain, or thrown an incomplete pass. He wanted to be the "Gunslinger" and he blew it. He want thinking whats best for the team. If he stays within the system as a "dont lose it for us QB" he is ok. If if it comes down to crunch time and he has to make a play, dont bet on it. The Giants, the Eagles, and now the Saints all should send him thank you notes for their Super Bowl trips. you obviously don't remember this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=un3B7Og-FS0 I'm not saying he doesn't choke sometimes, because he does, but that doesn't discount the fact that the team wouldn't have even been there without him. Ok, so you post a regular season game versus an 8-8 team as a clutch situation? Did you forget this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KCILR8XW0iE Oh this site is a good one as well.Farve INTs Lastly lets not forget Farve I think owns the most INTs and stands alone in the 300 INTs club. 1991-2006 he had 288.

  12. Yes, Farve is overrated. Make excuses where you want do you forget his abysmal season with the Jets last year? He cost the Jets on making the playoffs with terrible decisions. Just like he cost the Vikings a trip to the SB. Farve had a good year this year I will give him that, however handing the ball off to RBs doesnt make you a great QB. He is a good QB however when it counts at crunch time he chokes period, I'll take Manning or Brady anyday over hime. He will now hold the NFL and Espn hostage for 6 months on whether he returns or not. Retire? You kidding me, why doesnt someone smarten up and just call it for what it is. "He doesnt want to go to training camp or play in preseason games."
  13. Pants on the ground. Pants on the ground! Farve dropped his pants on the ground!!! He needs to go away! Every team he has played for his last pass attempt for that team has been an INT. He is way overrated.
  14. A more entertaining approach would be to go into the BIOS settings mash some keys and hit F10 and let the fun begin. ;D
  15. Hey Guys, well I was kicking around the idea of getting one of these units. However I wanted to see if anyone in BassResource Nation had any experiences with these units good or bad. Im aware that they do not do well in hard water conditions. So does anyone have one? Any of you guys happen to install them? Well any feedback on them would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. :)
  16. Ok, Im a Patriots fan so that makes the Jets not an option. I also cant cheer for Peyton either so the Colts are out. I cant stand Favre, so that leaves the Vikings out. Go Saints! ;D
  17. So guys... How was it? Anything decent to be seen?
  18. I hear you Tin, scratching my head over the Sox moves myself. So instead of going for power they are in turn going for pitching and defense. Time will tell if these moves work out or not. There arent many big bats out there and the ones that are are very costly too acquire.
  19. You don't think you're being a little harsh. After all these people just died. Have some respect.. Yeah, I could have some more respect. However seeing as my mother has battled through 4 different types of cancer, to still be with us. Then these guys knowingly try to swim under the ice as a competition, sorry.
  20. Being drunk and having a 3rd grade education in Sudan makes you more intelligent than these 2 idiots. Thank god that the gene pool was cleaned up a bit. Darwin FTW!
  21. those were probably closet jet fans. comparing a 1-15 to a team that won the division, made the payoffs, and had home field advantage is stellar. you're right booing was appropriate. Kidding me?!? If I bought tickets and went to that game shelling out upwards of $200 or more. Then to barely get to your seats and see that its like 5 mins in and they are already down by 14 points. Then go on to have the quarter that they did. d**n, straight Id be booing them. Die hard fan, here, I can see a bad game, fine. However to get out played like they did shows lack of effort and heart. That was one thing the Pats never lacked in their previous SB wins was effort, grit, and heart. This team certainly isnt in the same caliber of teams, period.
  22. I cant help it, 5 or 10 days of being stuck in the house. The whole northern half of this country just about ices up for about a good solid 3 months at least. Its cold here, was 3*F when I left for work. Its colder in more places of the country than here. You Southerners get a taste of this and your calling out the National Guard and closing schools. Its kinda humorous to us up here. ;D : ;D
  23. Ok, now I bet your thinking man does this guy complain enough. Well I purchased a high end video card for my gaming PC back in Nov. It overheated in the PC case I had bought a new case, still overheated. I finally sent the card back to my new friends at Visiontek. which they then told me it looked like the screws were worn at that I voided the warranty due to tampering. So I now have a $250+ paper weight and the patience of a prespawn bass. Does customer service and warranties mean anything anymore?
  24. Certainly was a tough game to watch as a Pats fan. Ravens out played and were more physical all game start to finish. Patriots need to overhaul their defensive line and line backers. However to be honest losing by trade or retirement the number of important character people that they did from last year to this year this wasnt really unexpected. Also for the Ravens to get pressure on Brady while only rushing 3 people is pathetic, at best. Edelman looked promising as a replacement for Welker, which I dont expect to see at all next year either. I had the Patriots barely squeaking by the Ravens and being throttled by the Chargers. One week early on the blowout, not too surprised. One thing I do have too take note with a Yankee fan calling Patriots fans annoying.... Really???
  25. Wow, I had no idea that would become an issue Glenn. That kinda throws a wrench into the lets break the record thing then doesnt it...
