A Shoutout for NH Fishermen!!!
I was out 7:30-3:30 today myself, I did ok. I boated 10 fish total missed 2 bites. I played around with my new swimbait that I could not stop casting out. All the bites came relatively early on during the day. As it got later, I think the fish felt that air temp getting cooler. I think that the day to get out this weekend was Saturday, being so warm and windy and ahead of the front. I think I may try and get out a few more times and then winterize my boat myself. Tight lines all.

Windows 7?
Gotta love the PC vs Mac OS debate. Only reason I have a PC is to play video games other than that I dont use it. What I like about a Mac is that it is designed to work "plug and play", granted more PCs are becoming this way. However I have heard to many horror stories over the years and on my own that some devices and drivers are just incompatible. So then you have to go and try and find a solution as to why it isnt working properly. Anyway they each have their place. If there was a perfect world imho I would have PC hardware run OSX stably and run the high end graphics programs I use at work and the graphic intensive games I play at home on one machine. That isnt here yet so I have 2 machines at home. 8-) 8-) 8-)

Messin' with the newbie
Great thread! Very very funny stories, thanks for sharing. Well my stories center around my time when I was in HS and college and I worked at a restaurant. The new girl who happened to be the a smoker I would dip 2 or 3 of her cigarette filters in cayenne pepper powder. She would come back from her cig break and she'd say I think those cigarettes were bad they made my lips all tingly and hot. We died laughing. Another newbie dishwasher came to me in the middle of Friday night rush asking for something to eat. He wanted a kid's pizza, which normally would be a 6" wide crust. Well what I ended up doing was getting an old pot holder/oven mit put spaghetti sauce and cheese on it threw it in the oven to melt the cheese, and gave it too him. We had a great laugh watching him try and take a bite out of it then get a knife and fork and try cutting it. Finaly the last dishwasher we had we bet him he could not ingest a spoonful of cinnamon and count to 3. Sure enough oh sure I can, he says. He downs the cinnamon and immediately starts coughing and running to the sink to start washing his mouth out. Oh the fun we used to have....

Windows 7?
Who cares? They stole a little prettiness, but other than that, Windows is still Windows. Exactly, glitchy and problematic as always. I have both OsX and Vista. I prefer OsX. Broken Promises...

CT licenses doubling $$ 10/1/2009
Well if our License fees went towards promoting and improving the states resources, as it pertains to bass fishing. I wouldnt have that much of a problem. The instate fishing lic for NH went up a few years ago it now stands at $37.50, out of state is a shade under $60.00 if I remember right. However my guess is that a large percentage of the license fees goes to the compensation package of the game wardens. NH doesnt have a stocking program for bass nor does it have a 'Lunker program'. However what the state does have is a shrinking population of accessible water for everyone. I live in a town of 4 small/medium sized ponds even being a resident I have no access to any of them. On one pond the town has a summer camp for kids but no boat access. As the fees go up and up less people will fish as it will become a financial burden. There are more and more bodies of water that dont have 'true' public access. Having a boat ramp be named public should mean that anyone can use and park near or at the ramp. There are more and more bodies of water that claim a public access but dont allow out of town residents to park any where near the ramp. So what good is that? Sorry for the thread hijack and my rant. This is a sore subject for me.

A Shoutout for NH Fishermen!!!
From what my experience has been the fish will start the day off rather on the deep side of breaks and flats and as the water warms through out the day they move shallow. However depending on the weather this could be a flawed viewpoint.

Cool Youtube Video -- for real this time
I thought it was weird and a lil scary that so many songs use the same 4 notes.

A Shoutout for NH Fishermen!!!
Most of the fish I got came on 3 lures. Rattle Trap, jig, vibrating blade type bait. I knew with the bluebird skies it was going to be real tough, also with the water temps of 47°F, that didnt help either. I tried jerkbait, swimbait, buzzbait, crankbait, spinnerbait, chatterbait, zara spook, tube, grub, spider grub, among some other soft plastics none of which worked. It was rough going but sometimes that is what fall fishing can be. Tight lines all, hopefully it will be better this weekend.

I dont know how many of you got out yesterday. I did the weather was great, however for me the fishing was so so. I boated about 9LM and 1SM. More importantly I broke a rod on a hookset. :'( :-/ :'( One of my oldest rods, not sure or not if I hit the trolling motor but he did take the lure right at the boat. It was hard work getting bites. I didnt get touched with using soft plastics. I had most of my bites come on reaction type baits. However there wasnt a pattern viable that I could see. I hope you guys got out and did a lil better than I did.

I had good success at Highland lake. The 3rd cast was a +4lb bass 2-3yrs ago on a rock pile. I havent been back so I cant tell you how its been recently. Its a bigger body of water mostly shallow so it holds some fish. Also being out in the western part of the state id say the pressure isnt as high as it would be if it were say big island pond. I plan on getting out on Sunday hope the bite is good.

- Fishing gloves...
Sry about that RW- Fishing gloves...
Well there I was fishing in that brutal weather last Sunday as that NorEaster pounded New England. I had on some crappy gloves and we didnt stay much longer than 4hrs. 30mph wind gusts and a temp of 34°F with driving rain sleet and eventually snow. I have a decent pair of gloves for fishing they are made by Sternns made of fleece. They are fingerless, however have a fold over mitten top to keep the hands warmer when not fishing. Since I do allot of jig fishing sensitivity is a must so big thick gloves wont cut it. I was wondering what you gloves you guys use to keep your hands warm in the colder months while fishing and or hunting.- What are your favorite fishing pictures?
Sunrise off the beach on my home lake. Great pictures everyone. A big thank you for sharing!- net neutrality scare
:-X :-X :-X- got my new boat
Nice boat. Always good to have a nice car topper you can fish so much more water out of that than you can with a trailer-able boat. Hope you have some great times in it. Tight lines.- Say it aint so, Yankees....
Could it be the all powerful Yankee closer has resorted to spitballs? I hope its just a weird angle or what not, however it is a tad suspicious. I for have too much respect for Rivera to try this especially in the ALCS. This does raise questions though. You can read more and see the video about it here and here.- A Shoutout for NH Fishermen!!!
Yea it was some tough fishing on Sunday with that weather. I boated 6 but I think if I just kept at it with those reaction type baits, I would have boated some more. I did but a fatal backlash in my swimbait rod. I am now going to have to think it over is it worth relining and using it again this fall or do I just strip the line of and wait for next season. The water temps were not that bad 47°F on the main part of the lake some of the back coves were in the lower 40s. Tight Lines all.- A Shoutout for NH Fishermen!!!
Did anyone get out this weekend? With this cold streak how much longer you guys planning to go out?- A Shoutout for NH Fishermen!!!
Ok, I think I have thawed out enough to finally feel my finger tips to make a post from yesterday. So it was a terrible day weather wise yesterday, I did get out and tried to endure the elements. However my boat partner only made it 4hrs. The rain, sleet, and snow driven with that bitter wind was brutal. Boat control was pretty much an all out task to get us pointed to where we wanted to go. Spinning gear was useless in that strong of a wind. All of my bites came off reaction type baits. If you could burn it and it had a serious vibration odds are you'd get a bite. I ended up with 6 in 4yrs, considering the conditions I cant really complain. If any of you decided to go out how'd you do?- MAG for PS3
Pre-Ordered!!! I cant wait till its released... - Fishing gloves...
