  1. Oh man soooo funny!
  2. Welcome to the boards, thank you for your service. I have seen you posting in the NH thread in the Northeast section. That is a great thread and frequented by a great bunch of guys. Tight lines...
  3. Jeff Bauman, who lost both legs in Boston attack, helped ID suspects True selfless hero right there. You can read the whole story here.
  4. I once caught a walleye in the Ct River, but that was eons ago.
  5. So 1st fish on 3/31, man it was cold and super slow...
  6. Agreed. I try to get out after work on the weekdays when the days are longer. I fish that place the most before memorial day or after labor day. Once the summer vacations are in full swing its a zoo. I will usually go elsewhere on the weekends. I know there are big fish there but I have not seen anything bigger than an 8lb pulled out of there. My biggest out of there was 5lbs 10oz.
  7. That's the one, yeah when the marina is full it can be quite the FUBAR situation. I really like fishing there, however the pleasure boater crowd on that body of water has absolutely no consideration for anyone but themselves.
  8. Cool, I fish there quite a bit, I launch out of the private marina on the left in small pond. I tell you I was glad to see them putting in the boards on the dam this past weekend. Friend and I literally had to get out of the boat and pull the boat out of the sand, and likewise when we were heading back in.
  9. I got out on the water about 8am and fished in the channel for the first 2hrs or so. I was in my red Nitro. I don't think we would have bumped into each other. However I am sure we were out on the lake at the same time. I got most of my fish after noontime.
  10. I was out on Cobbett's these last 2 Sundays (3/31 & 4/7). I got one on the 31st was real real slow, I did better 4/7 ended up with 5 in the boat, still really slow, nothing chasing moving baits as of yet...
  11. Nice jigs! Id throw those anytime...
  12. They are very much an invasive species, Id say I have caught about 10 of them in the last week or so. I could do without them as well.
  13. Got me, good job...
  14. Made it through ok, my back is another story, after the snow blower died. Grand total in my neck of the woods was 26" of snow. My poor charcoal grill!
  15. Very Cool! Thanks for sharing! That first video is actually of a Cheetah and not a Leopard. Here are the two cats in pictures below first is a Cheetah second a Leopard.
  16. Is this the only show that this is happening too? I was planning on going to the Worcester, Ma show, I hope that is still going on, as scheduled. Glad to see people speaking out can make a difference, however it is unfortunate that some people will lose allot of money because of it.
  17. Oh that is good that is real good.
  18. Great Job RNF! I myself just joined a gym for the first time in my life. I have been watching what I eat and trying to stay as active as possible, I have a desk job so sitting in front of a computer all day lends itself to a shape of round. Well since my start in 2011 I have lost 78lbs, I have another 22lbs to go. I am hoping with a conservative weight lifting routine that I will be able to drop those last lbs and start to add some muscle as well. Here is to reaching goals in 2013.
  19. I would ship them ahead of time without a doubt. I have had some very bad experiences with shipping rods for use on vacation. I have done the PVC rod container exactly as Fishing Rhino has described. I will not name companies, however a brown truck company managed to break the PVC rod tube. They snapped the solid cap end off, I still would have liked to have seen how they did that. Having seen tire tracks on the PVC tube I knew it was one hell of a ride. I lost 3 rods and the rest were delayed 3 days so I basically lost most of the week I was on vacation. They were insured and I had receipts the amount of hoops I had to jump through to get reimbursed was an absolute joke. I was told that you should take pictures of the rods before shipping and that each rod should have been wrapped individually in bubble wrap. I will now just bring my rods to the retail store and have them pack it and insure it. Granted I will be paying a premium, however if they are broken its refunded no questions asked. Its simply not worth it trying to pack things yourself anymore have them do it. If its broken you just get a check. The runaround I had to go through and twice having my claim rejected fearing I would be on the hook for 1 GLoomis GLX and 2 St Croix Avids was not something I want to go through again. The reels I brought them in on my carry on with no line on the reels, with my luck I didnt need the hassle of getting stopped at security more than I already have. I hope this helps...
  20. I heard about this on the radio, I just had to share it with you guys. Read more about it here.
  21. Well I am in search of a new jean company. I used to be a happy customer of Levi's 569 style, however they have seemed to have changed the cut and lowered the weight of the denim. I have tried Eddie Bauer and American Eagle, I just don't like the "sits below the waist" cut. What brand of jeans do you guys buy? I prefer the roomier cut jeans that are pretty durable. Thanks...
  22. Great video, thanks for sharing...
  23. Wow thats incredible. Definitely a underwear changing moment. Thanks for sharing.
  24. Well said, Welcome Home! :USA:
