Thanks warrior your picture made me want some. The Suzuki is a 115 and I was getting about 45-46 last year before adding the other talon and brackets. Gonna be messing with prop and motor height this year to see if we can pull any more out of it. But super good and gas and you can hardly hear it running.

Power Poles 8 or 10ft
I ended up going with 2 12ft talons and have been happy with them. I shopped around and price matched them, with the 100$ rebate going on I paid about 1400$ each

Thinking about making my first "big" boat purchase...
I was in this same dilemma to, for your price range you should see if you can find a triton magnum. They are so much of a nicer boat than the trackers. I paid 8500 for my 03 176 with a 115 on the back.

Rod sleeve size?
Cant beat that, I had a bunch of sleeves I did not like. Eyes popping out, tips busting through, length not right. So to me it was well worth it, I paid under 4$ a sleeve and took maybe 5 minutes each if that. They turned out awesome!

Do you wear a "buff" when fishing? and let's see it if so.
I love my buffs, us gingers need to protect our self from the sun. Its our arch nemesis, my hat looks like a sombrero.
